Funny thing is, I too was torn between The 3rd Birthday and Dynasty Warriors 7, but I wanted Lightning Brea more than Wang Yuanji throwing shanks and Bao Sanniang sluttifying the series up so yeah.

And it's not like I bought The 3rd Birthday just for the DLC code, I've played the first two Parasite Eve games and this game looks great according to the gameplay videos and it is.

lol I only went with DW7 because I HAVE the 3rd Birthday already (Japanese PSN ver) so I was pretty much getting the US ver to show my support AND also get the Lightning Brea = 3=

just finnished the 12th cycle, was kinda disapointed in shortness of it D= but oh wells o3o new mapped main story here i come~<3 need to get me those unlock charas (so far behind everyone else!)

oh and I don't know how ad-hoc works (do you need a ps3? >.>; ) but after i get my kuja up to 100 (and master his movement) i'd love to participate in some stuff

Fuck yeah! I played a couple of Ad-Hoc Party matches today in order to improve my Lightning and I lost one of them due to paying more attention to her exposed shoulders and her tighter fitted outfit than the match itself.

Finished the 13th Cycle, haven't touched 000 yet (last time I cheated, but this time I'm taking my time). Do NOT underestimate the Bonus Line...in some dungeons if you come across a particularly strong enemy if you are gunning for KP, you better believe that they'll be 10-15 levels higher than you if you take em on.

My goal usually was to beat dungeons at Half the Bonus Line + 2 levels (so say the bonus line is 14, my party level would be 9)...this does NOT work in some places, particularly Land of Dischord. You'll have some tough fights if you try and take them on at that statistical handicap.

Right now I'm equipment and gil farming, so it's going to take a while before I'm up to snuff to take on Scenario 000.

I ignored the Bonus Line for the most part when doing the 013 scenario, you gain so much KP from 000 that it doesn't matter. In fact, during 000 I just got all the KP Bonuses on the map, then tackled the Chasm dungeon in 000, by the end I used up all my KP bonuses and ended up with 3k KP. With that I can now buy the KP Bonus from the moogle in cornelia and farm KP. (You need like 2000 KP or more or something like that so it shows up on the shop). BTW, I also ignored the bonus line in the Chasm, but I still ended up with so much KP lol... since it's 10 floors. The AI cheats, so yeah fuck that shit. They not only are a higher level than you, they also have way better equipment than you.

i got a quick question. I tried making my own custom ruleset that was identical to the off(Skill) one, but with calendar bonuses enabled, but for some reason it's only applying to me and my opponents get to keep all of their equipment and summons and stuff. Is there a way to make them also follow the rules like the actual off(skill) rules do?

Children's? YOU INSULT THE BACKHISTORY OF THE ESTHARIAN SORCERESS WARS. Triple Triad was played by soldiers to pass the time in between the constant fighting they did between the countries, it was invented by a psychic named Orlan who used them originally as Tarot cards. And IMO it is far and above more fun than the FF9 version of the game. It's also available on PC and there are PSP versions of it as well!

Also: FINALLY! Finally they are releasing DLC to the public to buy! I was wondering when it'd happen.

Also Also: SO FRIGGAN CALLED KH Sephiroth!!

Now all we need is Advent: One Winged Angel as music DLC and my day is complete.

Figured I'd mention, DLC costumes AND Music packs are 300 yen individually, which is about 3.99 (rounded up). Yow that's expensive. :8/:

also I've been lvl'ing golbez and i haven't been able to do his secret ex burst from the first game, did they take it out or do i just suck?

By "you can't do it" do you mean you don't have enough time? Or by "you can't do it" you mean you just don't know the input? It's the same as normal EX R+Square, you have to hold it down, it's the same as Sephiroth's "Heartless Angel" only better.

Also, it's not so much that I'm an expert on FF lore...I just read FF Wikia a lot lately. :3

no no not black fang, i'm talking about his alternate text in his exburst.

it's in the first dissidia, when you input the inputs for his ex burst while he casting during the words SHADOW, LIGHT, and DARK, his dragon and him will have a little conversation from ff4 during the attack instead of the usual 'binding cold' text. I know i've been doing it right (and i did it like 40 times in a row) but it's never working for me, so i'm wondering if i'm just terrible at it or they removed it for some reason (leaning towards the terrible at it)

So, I have been messing around with Tifa and Lightning's "glitches". Where if you do a blizzaga with Tifa, and it hits, then you follow with a charged/uncharged meteor strike, as long as it reaches, even if the opponent dodges, you can still do the follow up punch(You actually follow them). With Lightning, you can do some of her moves like One Man Army after they block or get hit by a watera, even from long range it'll follow them as if the initial hit of the watera hit. It's weird, but kind of cool haha.

Those are insanely fun glitches. But sometimes it screws me over namely Lightning's Army of One glitch because she just starts swinging and then they get me if they recovered fast enough.

EDIT: Also, Lightning Brea is indeed awesome. My friend just gave me a code for it. I was wondering though what are some of the equipment that can help with raising AP? I had a list somewhere but I think I deleted it somehow ;__;

You can only get up to 510 CP. Yeah, Lightning is a CP hungry characters, she needs so much of it. You need Hero's Essence and I forgot the other one. But basically you equip two of the +15CP acc., then 1 of the CP+30 I believe.

One Man Army will activate even if you wiff if you're close enough. I don't think that's a glitch, since she can start it even on block.

For AP, all you really need is a Bonus Day, Level 1 Chaos, and a Beckoning Cat.

For AP, all you really need is a Bonus Day, Level 1 Chaos, and a Beckoning Cat.

Chaos is no longer an AP fountain he was before, because most of his attacks now have higher priority, which means that you must dodge them until you get enough Brave (sometimes it's up to 9999) and land an HP attack... three times in a row.

Some other ways of getting more AP are Diamond accessories (give you up to 400% more AP, but break after use) and Diamond equipment set (which doubles your AP, if I recall correctly). You can also equip the same move 2 or 3 times to get that much more AP for it.

I'd also recommend First Strike and Pride of Glass (or how is it called in English) as perfect abilities for getting enough Brave for AP chance. You may also try such booster accessories as HP 100% (both your and your opponent's) or "Brave higher than its base value", maybe basic accessories that give you Brave when you block or dodge (though I always go for straight damage).

I get my AP in 000, the 2nd dungeon something good and evil.. There's a spot there that won't break acceossories. I just fight the two manikins there while wearing beckoning cat, dazzling diamond, and the 3 Diamond accessories. I get like 40AP if I don't meet the AP chances, and up to 70 if I meet the +3 chance. This is of course on bonus day.
