I noticed however it's not good to overuse 2B though. I noticed that the Makoto would backdash and punish the whiff with a dash 5B :v:

Finally some extend info.

* [Wolf A>B> air dash JB>J3C>JA>5D] >2C>6C works.Apparently no change in damage.

* 3C>Jaeger>2C>6C>2C>6B>2C>mondlicht>1D>2 beast cannons does 3,7k

* 6C starter can go into 4 beast cannon stuff for about 4,8k

* mid screen 3C>jaeger>Sturm wolf connects.

* No change to wolf break stuff.

* 3C> schwarz doesn't work on a grounded hit.

* 3C on air hit might give you enough time to cancel into rosen or schwarz. (3C>jaeger>3C works so far)

* Schwarze jagd>Weiss jagd>5D<2C>......<4 beast cannons<Sturmwolf does 5.3 k

* JC: less landing recovery.

* 2B: less recovery.

* Wolf B:less head attribute invincibility.works well enough as an AA.(day 1 impression)

* Wolf JB: less untech time.[JB>JB>5B] is difficult to pick up,if done high in the air.

* Jaeger: Untech time is "scary" and long.Also has worse proration.

* 6B>2A (opponent barriers this)> 2C (is out of range)

* mid screen throw>nachtrosen doesn't work anymore? character specific it seems

You can do throw>jaeger(miss)>5C if you are close enough to the corner.

* 6A: A buff?faster guard point?

EDIT:

*Eisen wolf: bad on block.You are at a disadvantage,even if you force them to block it in the air. (around jump height)

can only be followed up with 5A, even on CH.(maybe 3C>C~A. see below)

the landing recovery can be canceled with rasen? (needs more testing)

*Cmd grab (ground): 1K.

Cmd grab (air): 1,5k.

*Sturm wolf>koenig works like cs2

*3C>jaeger can be looped up to 3 times in the corner.Insignificant due to repeat move proration.

*Rasen:increased gauge drain on 7C/4C. Its nothing serious once you get used to it.(cs2: 7C/4C x 5---->cse: 7C/4C x 4)

*W 5B: on a trade you can follow up with nachtrosen.It seems possible to squeeze in a 2C/6C depending on the circumstances.

Damage changes:

5A: 200->300

2A: 150->300

jA: 180->300

throw 1500->1000

Proration changes:

3C: P1 90%->75%

Weiss jagd: P2 50%->60%? (maybe more)

Eisen: P2 92%->89%

Nacht jaeger: P2 89%->80%

Nacht jaeger repeat proration: 30%

*6C>2C>6B>2C>mond licht>[4 beast cannons>7C]>D>JC>5B>2C>JB>JB>JC

dmg: about 5.1k

The human JC after the 7C is a replacement for JB>JB>5B.

You can replace the human 5B with 2A for less damage and easier execution.

Ok so I want a group opinion on this idea I have. So with Extend being out now and us not being too far behind in getting it, should I go ahead and just move all the CS2 matchup threads to the archives and make new Extend threads or should I just keep them and Extend threads and then move the CS2 threads to the archives when Extend is actually available to us?

Also just a forewarning, stuff might be getting moved around and deleted as I'm clearing things and getting things tidy for new Extend info to come in. Biggest Priority for me now is getting the Extend video thread ready to get stuff in there efficiently and to make a new General Discussion with more relevant and useful info on the First Post and to just people a random place to chatter. A new Technical/Combo thread for us to add any new combos and tricks that appear. It'll take me a little bit to get the General Discussion and Combo Thread set up so its not gonna be a complete overhaul but just a heads up, shits gonna be moving around slowly :3

Thanks for the info, Nokita. Except for what seems to be a universal damage nerf for his combos and the loss of Eisen being a free ticket in, it's actually sounds like CSX Valk is at least as strong as he is in CS2.

I'd say keep the matchup threads for CS2 where they are, and just make the CSX ones once we actually get wide-spread access to CSX. While not all of the threads have enough relevant info in them (way too many with just 1-2 posts and no info), they're still more relevant for most people than CSX. Besides, we can't even test stuff out for CSX, just "It looks like [insert speculation here]." from what we've gleaned from videos.

As far as I know, there is not an international arcade release for csex, right?

For now, keep the cs2 info, the game still has some tournament life left.

Anyways, I've posted my combo guide in the technical discussion i.e. my farewell letter to cs2 valk. Seems relevant to csex valk since he still has the same combo routes. Just replace 3c 2c with 3c 236a 2c lol.

When punishing with 2A, go with 2A > 2C rather than 2A > 5B. You get a rather nice 3K combo and guaranteed corner carry from it.

If you've got a read on them jumping out of wolf pressure/mix up, mix in an aerial command grab from time to time, at least to remind them that you can. It leads into 3.3k if you guessed right.

Sorry if you already do these. Didn't have time to watch much, so I might've just seen the part where you weren't doing those.

Adding a schwarz>rc for the bonus proration and replacing the 2A with 5B gets you close to 8K.

That 7CD>JC>5B part is going to take some practice.

The 7CD>JC>2A works in cs2.

To those that want to mash this shit out in cs2,this is how it worked for me (in the corner):

1) BB cannon has to be done fast(not sure,if this is really important.)

2) 7C has to be done fast.

I agree with Sahgren and Leo that you should keep the CS2 threads until extend is actually out for us, then you can archive 'em.

I usually do 2A - 5B because of distance purposes, but your post made me more aware of the hitconfirm, so I've been using it alot more in situations where I can.

The aerial command throw is also something I can try doing but it's usually player specific. Against Hex for example it's usually a bad idea because It's very likely after a [w] 5B I'll get thrown, so I mix in other things. (Then again it could just mean that I'm unfortunately predictable which I believe is the case)

Tried this a few days ago and I haven't read the post until just now lol.

Cannons minimize comboability to 2/5A > 2C > 6C > 2C > either ([w]j.AAA) or (j.B > dj.B) > then j.C afterwards, but maximum style and swag points. :kitty:

I'm gonna update the Video thread today. I've been busy with school but since this its the aftermath of a holiday, I actually have a bit of downtime to do something productive here :3 I'll also hunt down some of the videos that haven't been noted in the thread yet. I know theres a few matches on both Jourdal's and PK's channels that haven't been noted and I found a few good ones in the a-cho channel as well so I'll get it up to date over the course of the day :3

Just wish I didn't have this damn headache:v:

Its kinda late but there is a compiled list of Valk's CS2>Extend changes. Look them over, discuss things, I'm working to make the Valk Forums more sociable and get conversation going more often.

After being sick of Tager's lack of mobility and stuff, I've decided to take on learning valk for a sub/new main. Howdy all. :) Just hope I can stick with it. His combos seem kinda tough at first.

So Galileo (Litchi), PRFArmy (Haku-Men) and Sakuma (Mu) have all switched to Valk now. Awaiting more converts.

2A likely no, every time I have attempted it, it failed. 5A, yes.
