She might be planned to be released simultaneously with BBCS2 and console the patch. Or she might have been delayed due to the stuff with Valkenhayn on the 360.

Yeah that's basically a summary of what I've been saying for the last 10 pages, also the last threadfew pages. But to stop the same thing being repeated ad infinitum..

Dream Sally's bubble moves diagonally upwards with A, straight forward with B, and in a parabolic trajectory with C. It does pop when the opponent hits it, but it also bounces off walls.

What. Extrapolate. Anyone know any details?

This is pretty interesting, yeah, though it would be more interesting if you could set it in the air. Perhaps you could set it, and follow it with a dash? Could serve as a pseudo-shield from normals.. though we still aren't sure what will pop it. Since it bounces off walls, it could have quite a few uses.. but I'm really not sure of them. Definitely a thing to mess with in training when she's released.

So do we know if Dream Sally can act as a shield for a single hit? If so, could it stop DDs or even Astrals (either by stopping them, or intercepting them)?

No, but even litchi can use matenbo as moving cover, you see the same thing with spike chaser, kitty litter etc. I would be very suprised if it didn't even contact with other zoning tools and simply lost. Seems like a flaccid ability at that point

It can't be use as a proper shield i'm afraid.

At 2:47, You can see Hazama's snake goes through the bubble. In a way, you can use it as a shield but you can't actually be right next to the bubble lool. You might have to be like a bit behind the bubble and throw some Bombs or Missiles. Also, I think some projectiles can go through the bubble. I think Dream Sally could be really good for pressure/mixs up though.

As for release date, I'm thinking that she will be out at the end of this month. BBCS2 is coming out in December. So, Platinum should be out around that time.

Well that's too bad...

Projectiles seem to go through it, but this is why I specified 'normals'. We don't know what sort of properties it has w/r/t blocking attacks just yet, aside from projectiles going through it without stopping. Normals might be counterhit, or they could pop it as well.

This is true, think of it as Spike Chaser, you can clash projectiles with it and keep it from coming at you, but you cannot physically hit it since it will make contact with you in return. Since Dream Sally seems to deal damge and bind the opponent then it should act as a shiel to rush down characters without a projectile to clash with it. I'm jst wondering whether or not it will bind them or if it will pop when they try to hit it with a normal.

Well the thing is, projectiles don't clash with Dream Sally. They go right through it. I feel this changes the situation a bit, and am not really sure if normals will be able to pop it or not. Thinking practically, if they weren't able to, it would potentially give certain characters without projectiles a hard time. Still, it's hard to gauge without any real test made.

I'd bet it'll pop on normals. Binding an enemy if they hit it with a normal seems like it would make the move way too strong.

Not.. really. Litchi's staffless 41236D would already be better even if that was the case, since that goes through projectiles itself. Not to mention, we don't know how much Dream Sally will prorate, etc etc we just don't know many conditions behind the move yet, so it's too quick to make that call.

Well, I think some normals might get sucked in to the bubble seeing how Dream sally is a "Magic" bubble instead of a "Normal" bubble :v:. But we won't know that facts until either more vids of Platinum comes out or wait for her to come out on consoles and start testing out the Trinity :kitty:

I wonder if Hakumen can cut the bubble... I hope not, that bubble is damn huge, and it's not even fast like Spark Bolt to make up for it.... D:

As long as its a projectile. Hakumen WILL be able to Black Void it, which would kinda be scary for Platinum for some of her Drive items.

Well you have the option of trashing your current item, then waiting out the Void...

Wait... Isn't Void technically a projectile? I'm not sure on the specifics but I don't think it has character-sprite properties. So theoretically, if you sliced a bubble (assuming it'll contact normals), wouldn't another bubble just phase right through the void?

That's true too.

The part about the switching out items to bypass the void i mean.

Void is a projectile and probably will get pop by the void.

Nope, Hakumen's "BIG-BALL-O'-DOOM" eats projectiles all day long, it's essentially a brick wall against projectiles until it goes away.

Wait, does burst go through projectiles? Hakumen's Void does eat through that so if burst is projectile invincible, I doubt that the similarly projectile invincible bubbles will...

Posted

W.. what?? Projectile invincible bubble? What's this about bursting? None of that is even relevant??? The bubbles will get popped by Hakumen's Void, like some already said, due to being projectiles themselves.

Posted

No, people are saying that since the voids supposedly are projectiles, the bubbles will go through them. Thats why I mentioned bursts.

Posted

the bubbles don't go through projectiles, they get eaten by them...

Which makes sense to me, Plat's entire drive is projectile based, it seems to me her bubble being "just another projectile" would be kinda redundant, it'll more likely be used for stuff like okizeme

at least I would imagine as such, but lack of information makes me sad D:

I think the confusion with projectiles stemmed from my misinterpretation of ->

projectiles don't clash with Dream Sally. They go right through it.

But just to clarify. Bubbles are a lower-priority projectile that don't remove hurt-states from other projectiles when they interact.

Ex- Lambda 6d's a bubble, bubble pops, Trinity hiding behind bubble still gets hurt from the gigantic laser sword.

amiright?
