Got to try out new Haku for a bit. He's cool.

- Totally forgot about Agito, so didn't get to use it. Ahhhhhh!!!

- His dash is indeed wayyyyy faster... but it also seems shorter? It's not as big of an advantage as you'd think.

- Fuck you, Hotaru nerf. Fuck you. Hop -> Hotaru frickin' whiffs!

- 4c feint has me all :3c

- OD is some clutch shit. Random CH -> OD will net you wins, guaranteed.

- Combo routes are very different. Lots of the old combos are all gone. Going to have to re-learn this guy.

- Star gain buff actually wasn't that noticeable. It DOES still gain faster. I found myself with 8 stars a couple times without expecting it.

More another time after I play him moar...

EDIT:

- Yukikaze in OD is THE SHIZZLE. Does 4.1k dmg as I recall, too.

It was whiffing point-blank in the guy's face. Like, standard Hop -> Hotaru to punish reckless offence just straight-up whiffed. Was playing vs. Terumi so maybe his hitbox had something to do with it.

Should clarify it did CH once as I recall, so it can work. Otherwise didn't do squat.

I figured it would whiff since EX Hotaru already whiffs vs some characters unless they stick something out, so it should be worse now.

This new Haku seems so awkward without air dash j2a combos. I like him though. Thinking of jumping to him for a main. Loving agito but bnb loop is pretty tricky atm.

You can air dash after hotaku even after double jumping? I just did j.2A > dj.2A > Hotaru > air dash > etc.

You can also do another jump as well.

I'm feeling CP Hakumen so far, though it might be because he's new. Some changes I didn't like still, like no more 6d, 2b can't combo into itself (though it's not so much an issue, just weird), Hotaru is dead though I think you can reduce recovery by airdashing saw it in a match. Shippu after a counter easily makes up for not being able to combo off counters anymore in my books.

I'm most def feeling his new combo routes, less link-y.

Anyways someone wanna send me youtube links that they have been compiling? I'll start getting back into the Video Thread as I watch Kuroko no basket (it's amazing).

Also, Kagura is going to be an awkward matchup since he has the same if not more reach than Hakumen in certain situations from what I experienced yesterday. Maybe it might be an issue for me since I rely on spacing and doing nothing as opposed to mAc, who doesn't let people play, and dioxide, who doesn't let you leave the corner once you're there. EVER.

Also Terumi is FAST

Also if anyone wants to play me in CSEX one last time (since I dodged all week), I'll be on tonight after I get back from my offline sessions.

I don't need to play the game to tell you yes, but 5d's ridiculous hitbox was nerfed immensely though, more so than the hitbox for his other counter stances. So it's not AS EASY as it was before to catch Nu's 5d with a counter and pull her in. I hope that answers your question.

No, he means countering Nu's 5D with your 5D from full screen, then Shippuing her out of her recovery.

He thought he was safe.

Yea. I'm starting to feel CP Hakumen really good now. But yea, the only thing I needed to get used to was that I can't combo of CH 3C anymore, that irked me.

What do you mean you can't combo off CH 3C?

CH 3C > 5C > Renka(1) > etc.

CH 3C > 2C > etc.

CH 3C > Kishuu > Enma

all works for me. Am I missing something?

from what i've seen in videos CH 3C seems to be even more dangerous than in Extend. Can do easy OD combos from it and with enough meter can do good damage. People seem to burst it almost as fast as Zantetsu.

One question, when someone like Litchi blocks your successful 2d(usually by blocking it after you wake-up 2d a flying staff), are you still invincible until hakumen is done with the animation, or are you now at frame disadvantage when they block it?

Well, I hope you all enjoy Hakumen. This carry loop really ruins it for me. I don't find it to be a particularly intuitive or fun combo to do. It wouldn't really bother much if it weren't for the fact it seems to be the only option for decent low meter combos.

Time to reroll and vainly hope they patch it out and replace it with something better.

It's that or play a significantly less efficient Hakumen. I'll try out some real matches and see how it feels if I can find a room with out such horrible input lag ><.

You are invincible all the way through, but you will still be at disadvantage. So you won't get punished but you'll be forced to block.

Unless you do the Enma followup in which case you can get hit out of that.

Don't be afraid to branch out to other chars if Haku doesn't do it for you. We have 7 brand new chars (!) to play with and everyone else got at least something.

Haku may have the hype OD combos in CP, but I also think he gave up a lot of his flexibility in EX. He's a mixed bag; you either love him or hate him.
