SansProtocol Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 6D's catch recovery on whiff changed was decreased from 6 to 4 frames in 1.1. How does that make it easier to abuse?
Schneider-X Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 If people like mashing after your 6A or 6B pressure you can drive chain really early and catch those people. The mind games!
Raziul Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 A lot of the people I've been playing have been surprisingly aware of things like the 5A reset and the j.B Agito instant over head set up. At the same time though, I've been having amazing success with the overhead set up.nothing like doing a 3k corner carry combo and immediately dropping another 3k on them with Tsubaki as they go "What the hell was that!?". Not my best work, but you can really see it shine in the first round Here
Raziul Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Aww, you're using my color. I've been binge watching Fate/Zero on Netflix this week haha. I use a lot of colors. The Orange and Black is my favorite, but I use the all white, the tanish brown, and the grey and purple a lot too. Variety is usually nice.
Moblin Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 That instant overhead is a very good setup and it's been something I've been working on a lot lately. If you want more meter for your effort, you can always confirm that into a loop with the j.b, and if they do block it, it becomes a pressure string instead of them blocking the Tsubaki and ending your pressure. The universal bnb confirm from AD j.b after the Agito is: (as far as I can tell is optimal) Agito ender ---> j.B, j.a, (land) 2b > Enma > loop x2 Another option with OD: Agito ender ---> AD j.B, ODC, j.B, land, renka > Zantetsu (1) > kishuu > 2c Hotaru ---> enders and stuff This combo depends on how many stars you have to start with, of course My opponents have just started waiting to tech slightly after I end with Agito to avoid this setup, since it's very good mixup and if timed right, the j.B is a true meaty. Unfortunately delay teching completely fucks this setup over.
Raziul Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 If they're delay teching, you can fall onto them with j.2C. If they whiff it with a successful tech, you can land next to them and go into a grab or pressure string. A forward roll is what will really mess it up, since there isn't much you can do against that when using it. I try to save the instant overhead for people who backdash or backroll a lot.
Kriegdrache Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I've been binge watching Fate/Zero on Netflix this week haha. I use a lot of colors. The Orange and Black is my favorite, but I use the all white, the tanish brown, and the grey and purple a lot too. Variety is usually nice. It's fine, Berserker colour is best colour. I either use that or Baiken, which is what I've been using since CS. Speaking of which, I still don't know what Hakumen's reference palette was in CT/CS (Bang's Strider, Ragna's Gintoki etc) EDIT: Also, I don't know why but lately I've been really uncomfortable using Hakumen. I've never really felt like this before, but everytime I've tried to use him the past couple of days, it's just felt sluggish and I'm not doing things that I want to do. Maybe I'm in a slump, or maybe it's because I've been playing a lot of Bullet, idk.
Kriegdrache Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 What this one is Tao? Surely not Taokaka!? Idk, it's always bothered me. I really like it regardless though, I wish it was still in CP.
Raziul Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I thought you were talking about a different one, my mistake.
entnervt Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 What this one is Tao? Surely not Taokaka!? Idk, it's always bothered me. I really like it regardless though, I wish it was still in CP. +1, that was my color too. I really miss it.
OmnixTSC Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 The universal bnb confirm from AD j.b after the Agito is: (as far as I can tell is optimal) Agito ender ---> j.B, j.a, (land) 2b > Enma > loop x2 As far as meter vs damage optimization goes, this is more important for corner carry than it is optimal. Optimal would be to just go for: adj.B > j.A > 2B/5B > Gurren > 2B/5B > 2A > 3C if you're midscreen so as to conserve your meter for when you can confirm something without any A normals. It should be optimal near the corner iirc. You can go for: adj.B > j.A > 2B/5B > Enma > j.C > 5C > 2C > j.2A > dj.2C > 5A > j.B > j.2A > dj.C > (Delay) Agito or: adj.B > j.A > 2B/5B > Enma > j.C > 5C > 5C > Gurren > 5C > 3C
Raziul Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I am now under the impression that the best buff Hakumen could get would be to make him pick up his feet.
Kriegdrache Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Yoooo, banbears, sorry I only played 1 game with you, my friend wanted to run a set. Next time, I promise. My Haku is super rusty though.
ban1son Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 NP, catch u next time (tbh my haks not that great...)
IndigoNovember Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 maybe it's because I've been playing a lot of Bullet, idk. I'm going to go with this one seeing as I've felt the same way after playing a lot of Bullet.
mAc Chaos Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 So I just noticed. Why are the Hazama matchup threads in our archives.
Moblin Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Wat. What is the frame advantage data on 2b cancelled into kishuu?
BlackYakuzu94 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Hmm...how do I do this.... Well 2B is -4.....shit, you got me.
Kikirin Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 2B: 16f blockstun (normal block) Kishuu: 18f total duration So -2.
mAc Chaos Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Wat. What is the frame advantage data on 2b cancelled into kishuu? There's like 15 Hazama threads in there. What about 2B canceled into Gurren? It's just 16f blockstun into Gurren's startup?So... 16 - 14, 2 frames leftover. So 2B > Gurren is gapless?
Raziul Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Here to waste your bandwidth with more proof that Hakumen is the best character in the game! The only way to beat Kokonoe is to out gimmick her! The futile rapid makes it even better. I must go. My people need me. I can make GIFs for you guys if you have replays of special moments. I just need to be able to watch the replay so I can record it.
