TheBossGiga Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I think he means he wants his dmg to grow exponentially with stars like in ct instead of like it is now where for every star you add like 1.5k to your avg dmg
WolfCrimson Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I wish they give his 3-star moves minimum damage.
Warhound Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 That's relative, just because you wont more, doesn't mean their design direction was on point lol. There are many factors that would affect how good you are with each iteration of hakumen, one being how much time you put into the game. I'd say the hardest-hitting factor was time, for me. I could just be talking out my ass, but recall rarely having a problem with CT's connection, and most of the time; when I lost I felt like it was because I lost, instead of feeling like the connection gave my rushdown opponent an advantage in his mix-up game. I think I was decent with CS1 Haku, because I would go into a player lobby with my friend for gratuitous amounts of time, but I'd stay the hell away from Ranked because it was full of horribad connections and scrubs.
Sophisticat Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 I think he means he wants his dmg to grow exponentially with stars like in ct instead of like it is now where for every star you add like 1.5k to your avg dmg Yes, sort of. Basically, his current combos are all about spending stars early on, then riding the combo for the proration he has left. Midscreen, you'll more or less average ~3k+, and in the corner you'll get ~4k+. The way his combos work now, there is no reason to spend much more than 3 stars for efficiency reasons. Spending more doesn't provide better (or even different) results; it's basically a waste to add more special moves than you need. What I've been thinking of is rather a system where you get to decide how much dmg you deal, but it costs stars. So if you have 8 stars, then you can really dish it if you wanted to. It adds a wild card element to his combos and would promote some creativity over the current Renka(K) corner carry stuff we have right now that's pretty much standardized across all normal starters. While his combos look cool, a bit more diversity would be welcome. Plus, I just plain like burst dmg. Haku doesn't really have any in EX. His average dmg output is fairly even all told.
Wander Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I wonder if the increased meter gain rate from overdrive stacks with the extra gain from low heath. I imagine it would be fast

That also means you're going to reduce his minimum damage as well, since you can get almost if not 3k midscreen, with 2 stars. You'll making it so that hakumen can get pretty must at most 2k midscreen or in the corner if he only has 2 stars. Making him extremely weak without stars and even more meter dependant in order to make things happen. It's important for him to be meter dependant by design but not completely reliant on it. I wonder if the increased meter gain rate from overdrive stacks with the extra gain from low heath. I imagine it would be fast It's important to note, I believe you get a 20% damage boost in Kishin similar to Mugen. So Mugen will become even more useless than it already is. But I wonder if you could enter Mugen while in Kishin mode if so, will that allow you to have an additional damage buff? If there is an additional damage buff for being in Mugen and Kishin is it two 20% damage buffs or one big 40% damage buff? If it's the prior, a raw 5c goes from 1110 to 1598, and if it's the latter then a raw 5c goes from 1110 to 1554. That would be crazy. And I just planted a theory idea for the first time in an FG. Go crazy with this idea.

Which is why Zanshin should be the best frickin' reversals around so that he can get those real damaging 5+ magatama combos. : D It's important to note, I believe you get a 20% damage boost in Kishin similar to Mugen. I'm pretty sure you get it. So Mugen will become even more useless than it already is. As it is ArcSys seems to be on a war against Hakumen I would probably say that doesn't stack at all. : P You have to remember that Mugen now runs constantly at the spent-more-than-9-magatama-3x-speed, so you kind of have to use Kishin to get anything out of it. And you cannot Tsubacopter. Shippuu still ends Mugen. If you Mugen + Kishin + Shippuu, Mugen will end but you will still gain magatama from Kishin, so either Kishin neutralizes the massive cooldown or Mugen got no cooldown now. I still just wish they made Mugen 4+ instead of 8. ._. It is the only non-Astral 100% heat Distortion.
Warhound Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Everyone ready for them Hakman changes?!
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 NO. GIVE ME CSEX OR GIVE ME DEATH!
Sophisticat Posted September 22, 2012 Author Posted September 22, 2012 Sorry, too busy drooling over +R HOS atm!
Warhound Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 NO. GIVE ME CSEX OR GIVE ME DEATH! You'll get nothing and like it!
Darkside937 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Ready for disappointment? For Hakumen, yes. But for ABA in AC+R...
toanenadiz Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 It could be worse. You could have mained a Murakumo
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Ready for disappointment? For Hakumen, yes. But for ABA in AC+R... Don't forget Ky in AC+R It could be worse. You could have mained a Murakumo Very true lol
"I went to TGS today but, I couldn't find anything that had changed from the last loketest. Tsubaki > 2C blue beated, 6D still isn't 1F start-up. Probably nothing have changed." [ragequits]
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 This is dedicated to all hakumen players who will be playing CP:
mAc Chaos Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I wonder if there are any Haku players giving them any feedback.
Isuna Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Well, a couple of guys wrote that they had written on those survey papers. Seems like Mori doesn't care. Checked Tager's, Tsubaki's and Noel's JBBS as well, so little information from TGS! Even though there apparently was a 130 minute to line to BB.
toanenadiz Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I wonder if there are any Haku players giving them any feedback. All they could muster for feedback was incoherent swearing. Turns out that wasn't so helpful
Tecta1Eastside Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) At least hackmen on the game. Murakumo still aint announced. sucks that there isnt new hackmen info Edited September 24, 2012 by Tecta1Eastside
