toanenadiz Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 What's the fastest? I'm curious. And that license plate is sheer excellence. I am indeed mad jelly. Lambda's 4B[2]. If she whiffs the first hit, it is a 17 frame overhead.
mAc Chaos Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Oh right. I saw that in the frame data but didn't know what to believe. So fast. :P
dioxideUniversa Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 oh god what has happened in this thread since yesterday hakumen license plate???
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Voice Set B Sledge: "UWOOOOOOOOH" Personally, I liked the fact that Hakumen shouts "Osoi!" - "(you're) slow!" - when he does 6B. He completely forgot he has the second fastet overhead in the game : p All this time I thought everyone was just free to Hakumen's overhead lol. So lambda has the fastest correct? I hate him too. I never noticed that Jin's 6A was that fast. I am so free to ice>6a>stuff lol, online or offline I cannot for the life of me block it. Lambda's 4B[2]. If she whiffs the first hit, it is a 17 frame overhead. Wow, it's basically unreactable lol. oh god what has happened in this thread since yesterday hakumen license plate??? It's headed in the right direction for once. This is the first time since CT that hakumen players are posting so often let alone in the hakumen forums loll.
Sophisticat Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Lambda's 4B[2]. If she whiffs the first hit, it is a 17 frame overhead. It's hella telegraphed, though. Among the easier animations to spot, imo. I hate Jin 6a, Bang 5c, Ragna 6b, etc. more because they're harder to notice.
mAc Chaos Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Those are all easy to spot. (I still get hit though.) It's Makoto's 6B that's the worst.
Sophisticat Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 No way, man. Mak's is relatively easy to get because she doesn't have many strings that go into it and you can get a good feel for it because the startup is 22f. Still, 6a -> Jayoku has got to be the most rage-inducing overhead. Hate that shit with a passion, but so good to punish with free 5c CH.
mAc Chaos Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 It looks so similar to all her other moves though. It's not as distinctive as the other overheads. Like Jin, he twirls his sword, and Bang stands there for like an hour and raises up his fist, when he doesn't do that for any other move. But for Makoto by the time I realized it's even 6B I'm already hit.

kirbster Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Soph you must be high, Lambda's 4b(2) is a true 50-50 with 2b or 3c. That shit is hella gay. You should play against Nedel more often lol
mAc Chaos Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) Wait. Hazama 6A on block is -5. I'm guessing you punish the blocked Jayouku but why would they even go into it then. :P scrub'd I guess it must be hard to confirm so they just do it anyway. Edited September 13, 2012 by mAc Chaos
Fluck Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 6A into Jayoku is totally confirmable, I can do it and my hit-confirming is ass :/
toanenadiz Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Wait. Hazama 6A on block is -5. I'm guessing you punish the blocked Jayouku but why would they even go into it then. :P scrub'd I guess it must be hard to confirm so they just do it anyway. It is mostly laziness. How many people block that? Why bother wasting the energy hitconfirming when you don't need to 90% of the time?
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Wait. Hazama 6A on block is -5. I'm guessing you punish the blocked Jayouku but why would they even go into it then. :P scrub'd I guess it must be hard to confirm so they just do it anyway. You can punish hazama's 6a with 5a, even without IB'ing it. Then 5a right into "stuff". 6A into Jayoku is totally confirmable, I can do it and my hit-confirming is ass :/ Yea it's like 6c>shippu, or 6b>strum wolf It is mostly laziness. How many people block that? Why bother wasting the energy hitconfirming when you don't need to 90% of the time? This. But I'm always impressed by Hazama's who don't do jayoku when I block their 6a, I tend to take them more seriously. And Ragna's overhead you could 2a it before it hits you if you see it coming.
mAc Chaos Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 So uh, I'm fighting Toan, and I just 6D'd Lambda's 3C. wat
toanenadiz Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Luck? Only the first 3 hits of Lambda's 3C are actually low. So you countered one of the later hits somehow. Don't remember much except thinking "This is something that would only happen against Mac".
mAc Chaos Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I liked when your 236C got countered, then you immediately did it again as if to confirm that it got countered on purpose. I could just see you thinking it. As for the 3C it felt like I got the farthest tip of it, so maybe that doesn't happen until the middle. I assumed it was the very beginning.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 You hit confirm 6c > shippu?? Only if you're godlike, I can't since I'm a fraud. Luck? Only the first 3 hits of Lambda's 3C are actually low. That's pretty dumb lol. Good to know though in case of meaties. So you countered one of the later hits somehow. Don't remember much except thinking "This is something that would only happen against Mac". He IS scumbag afterall....
Warhound Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Kind of late to give my input on overheads but, Makoto's 6B was so easy to block, I just started 6D'ing it. Started to recognize after which animation she'd either do a 2C (I think it was) or a 6B. Unless they were respectable and did more than that same exact blockstring.
Isuna Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 So, Bang's 5C is a 24F overhead? Is it the same for Tager and whoever who has the lowest crouching hurtbox? I wish they put such things in the frame data. The only thing I am good at is remembering numbers... I guess Gauntlet Hades also can't hit crouching on first active frame? How is it with TK Swallow Moon > JA/JB/JC? I have a list on all overheads under 30F, but I guess it needs some adjustments. One week 'till we know if I rage quit or not.
StarGazer Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 IB'ing the first hit of Lambda's 3C creates a gap in which you can put a reversal, am pretty sure of this because i did IB > Parry a couple of times How is it with TK Swallow Moon > JA/JB/JC? TK Marshmallow > j.B maybe 25F fast? problem is that she can do 4A+B > 2A or even 5A > 6B
