magz Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 (edited) computer problems But laptops are much different, it is very difficult to work with and they're usually not as flexible softwarewise. Many laptops run dual HDD. o-o buying laptops off newegg Edited December 1, 2010 by magz
Dacidbro Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 ... Many laptops DO run dual HDD. I've personally repaired them.
Soniti Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I call those portable computers cause they are so heavy that after your first week of owning them you don't want to carry them around.
magz Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 ... Many laptops DO run dual HDD. I've personally repaired them. I'm well aware they exist. I just don't think that dual hard drive laptops are as prominent as your qualifier might suggest.
buzzsaw Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I can name maybe one or two laptops that run dual hard drives natively, all others require a hard drive caddy that replaces the optical drives. Dual hard drives natively on a laptop are not common AT ALL.
Dacidbro Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 They're becoming more and more common, but yes, as of now, they are relatively uncommon. I'm not unaware of that.
buzzsaw Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 There are 2 or 3 choices for laptops with a dual hard drive setup, they're as uncommon as they have ever been and it will stay that way.
Spirit Juice Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Oh yeah. Since I never gave details about Jiang getting blown up by an old white lady at NCR on Facebook, I'll tell everyone that wants to know in person on Saturday.
RinHara5aki Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I call those portable computers cause they are so heavy that after your first week of owning them you don't want to carry them around. Yep. My ten pound dual hdd for ALL of my bb stuff was annoying to carry around. http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops/satellite/X205/X205-SLI5
Dacidbro Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 There are 2 or 3 choices for laptops with a dual hard drive setup, they're as uncommon as they have ever been and it will stay that way. They are certainly more common now than when they didn't exist. That's a rising trend as far as I can tell.
Dakanya Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 for fuck's sake stop shitting up the thread about double laptops fuck why is this thread always shit AAAA YOU FAGGOTS
qwerty Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 ^lol Oh yeah. Since I never gave details about Jiang getting blown up by an old white lady at NCR on Facebook, I'll tell everyone that wants to know in person on Saturday. how old is old?
Dakanya Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 oh hey this is the nci thread, not the norcal thread. well all norcal threads are shit anyways and guess whose's fault that is
blk_mage Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! (We should totally get some killer instinct going at one of these :P) But I agree that we should probably take the computer talk elsewhere
ZONG_one Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 They are certainly more common now than when they didn't exist. That's a rising trend as far as I can tell. I have one. Windows 7 on one hd, Vista on the other. Get at me. /leet computer talk
Spirit Juice Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 how old is old? Middle aged. Probably 50s.
natearistata Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 So is this going to be streamed, or just recorded?
Tsubasa Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 If anyone is banking on me streaming this event, it depends on whether ASUS can get my laptop back to me in time. They're taking their sweet time.
RinHara5aki Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 WTF you too? My Acer is taking 3 days even though I paid extra for a two day shipment... Faggots... At this point it looks like BB is neither going to be recorded OR streamed. I highly doubt GG players have the patience to switch off setups, and even then you'd have to put BB in standard on a tube TV. I doubt bb players would like that. Sorry guys, it looks like next month, Tsubasa and I will be back in full force. Btw tsubasa, did you get your HDPVR replaced? And do you still have your component splitter? Edit: Oh yeah that's right AJ has a setup.. You might want to let him know asap then.
Tsubasa Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Yeah, I got my HDPVR repaired. You just have to convince them that it failed under standard operating conditions. & yes, I have my component splitter. I'll just keep it in my car in case we need it.
magz Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Windows 7 on one hd, Vista on the other. I hope you're getting paid to do that...
Spirit Juice Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 We streamed all games last time without incident. Was fine.
Crosell Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 hey orion if you are going can you just pass my cables off to blk mage
