Final Ultima Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) But Evatrice lost two stocks after Virgilia does Guard Touch at 1:30.I mentioned Guard Touch on the previous page, and it is 1 stock. Eva Beatrice is just about to get another stock, but she doesn't quite get it in time. This becomes abundantly clear when she's tagged back out and her first stock is filled almost immediately. Edit: Ah, someone already covered that. The fifth touch is called Assault Touch, by the way. The command is 236+Touch. It appears to be an invincible charge into switch that knocks the opponent down on hit. Costs 2 SP stocks. Edited November 26, 2010 by Final Ultima
Hiroshi Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Now that I think about Touch again, I'm somewhat worried about combos since SP fills really fast when being attacked which allows you to use Damage Touch quite easily...
SoWL Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Just noticed that the Meta-World gauge gets smaller with each cancel your opponent does. Gives this yet another angle for strategy. Translating the system page, here are some interesting details: - Some moves can be dash-canceled, but it costs you your Touch gauge. - The taunt restores some of your HP. - Beato's Infinity SP ability allows you to cast ONE SP super for free. - Same goes for Lucifer's Attack Touch: no more than one free Attack Touch per ability activation. - Shannon's Auto Guard allows for guard dashes. - Virgilia's Brimful recovers SP for both of your characters. You know what, we may just translate all that stuff and put it in the first post instead of those random facts. If no one does it before me, I'll try to do it tomorrow.
Marisa Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 The more I hear about this, the more I hope it's the next Melty. I'd love another doujin fighter with resonable balance and good mechanics.
Hecatom Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) explanaion of the video Oh look, the exact hypothetical metaworld situation I mentioned yesterday XD So it goes -1 stock for metaworld activation -2 stocks for canceling it -2 stocks for canceling the cancel and reactivating it -3 stocks for canceling the reactivation RE: The Lucifer video I think it's interesting how dash canceling uses the tagging meter instead of a stock or something else. Has anyone else seen the new system section on the webpage? There's some stuff that I don't think we had seen before. I'll do a list of the important things there. General stuff -Game uses 3 attack buttons, one Touch button, and an Appeal button (seems to be a taunt). -Doing an Appeal slightly recovers HP. -There are 3 lifebars and no second round, so if you get KO'd that's it. -Press all attack buttons to activate the metaworld. -You can dash cancel, tech throws, and tech your falls. Touch -Switches characters and reduces your Break Gauge and stun. -There are 5 kinds of Touching. -Normal Touch: The active character taunts and switches with his/her partner. Activates the ability of the character that tagged out and costs no SP. -Attack Touch: Touch during an attack, and your partner comes in with an attack to continue attacking. No SP needed. -Guard Touch: Touch while guarding to switch characters while blocking. Uses 1 SP. -Damage Touch: Touch while getting hit to break the combo, send the opponent flying back to the other side of the screen and switch characters. Uses 2 SP. -Assault Touch: Qcf+Touch to do an invincible "tackle" that switches characters and knocks down the opponent. Uses 2 SP. Meta World (if any of the names sound weird blame Google) -As said before, it's activated by pressing all attack buttons. -Activates both of your characters' abilities and allows you to use your meta special for no cost while it's active. -Meta Declaration: Uses 1 SP and requires the Meta Gauge to glow red. -Meta Return: Used after a declaration, uses 2 SP and depletes the opponents Meta Gauge. -Meta Redeploy: Used after a return to activate the meta world again, uses 2 SP and reduces your Meta Gauge by 25% of what it originally was. -Meta Surrebutal: Used after a redeploy, uses 3 SP to deplete the Meta Gauge again. -Meta Forcing: Used after a surrebutal, uses 2 SP to activate the meta world again and reduces your Meta Gauge by 50% of what it originally was. Character Abilities -Activated with a Normal Touch or with the Meta World. -Ushiromiya Battler: "Resurrection", slightly recovers HP over time. -Beatrice: "Infinity SP", it's pretty much what it sounds like. -Ushiromiya Ange: "Stun Boost", increases the stun of your attacks. -Lucifer: "Attack Touch" use Attack Touches without consuming your Touch Gauge. -Shannon: "Auto Guard", exactly what it says. -Kanon: "Silent Attack", reduces the SP your opponent gets from your attacks. -Virgilia: "Brimful", increases the SP of both of your characters. -Ronove: "Counter Boost", increases the damage of counter hits. -Eva Beatrice: "Berserk", increases your attack power. -Siesta/Chiester 410: "Break Boost", increases guard break damage. Other than the usual basic stuff I think that's pretty much it. Edited November 26, 2010 by Hecatom
Alzarath Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 +1 to hype train I will become #1 EC Lucifer. BET IT.
Cirno Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 But you've already done it in the first post, with so many spoilers around etc. We have nothing to lose by now. Well, technically, there aren't any spoilers. You can't see them, anyway! If you can't see them, then they very well might not exist. And to people who DO see them, they aren't spoilers! It's the power of magic.
Cirno Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 And with love, they aren't spoilers at all! The power of magic is incredible, don't you agree?
2nd_God Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 +1 to hype train I will become #1 EC Lucifer. BET IT. You may have competition. This game looks cool~!
Final Ultima Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) A response to the fourth video, shattering all illusions that Virgilia's Gungnir spam will be a legitimate lock-down strategy. Edited November 27, 2010 by Final Ultima
Marisa Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 It never really looked to me like Virgillia was going to have lock-down via Gungnir. She seemed like the typical zoner to me, a pain in the ass to get to. Theory Fighter: I get the feeling Eva Beatrice and her air dash will be the bane of Virgillia's zoning.
Kuuhaku Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Finally footage of what characters can do. Ange body slam is pretty boss. <3 So is Kanon's aerial super.
Rhiya Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Massive sprite spoilers. No, seriously. http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/4079/1290757821589.png But just lol. I can see so many new players getting screwed by Gungnir spam
RaveSage Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Maybe a bit soon to be asking this but do you think we could pester anyone about getting an official US release, probably via download? I tried asking Carpe Fulgur who brought over Recettear, but they don't seem too interested. :\
Kuuhaku Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Lol. A game like this would sell super terrible in the US. I can't think of anyone who'd want to localize it. ... Maybe if Higurashi/Umineko was actually semi-well known in the US....
Qaenyin Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Clearly this is yomi:The fighting game. It has counters that counter counters for countering counters to counters.
Kuuhaku Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Hm. I just notice that Shanon's metafield super is her throwing the mirror from the shrine. IDK if that's a spoiler, but despoilerfied just in case.
haketh Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) Lol. A game like this would sell super terrible in the US. I can't think of anyone who'd want to localize it. ... Maybe if Higurashi/Umineko was actually semi-well known in the US.... Same could have been said about Reccetear Edited November 28, 2010 by haketh
Kuuhaku Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I dunno about Reccetear, but last time I checked- Melty wasn't localized because it'd also sell terribly. Pretty much the only people who'd buy it would be people posting here (maybe some lurkers). That's uh... not very convincing numbers for a localization company.
