WitchOfRiddles Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I guess the amount of data I have to deal with is alot more then I thought it would be and I have to unfortunately delay the rips a day or to but this is my status on what I got done so far. Stages 100% done Sprites roughly 20% done (currently working on) <-- alot of orgainizing too Sounds/Voices 10% done (Alot and alot of data) <--alot more orgainizing and will take the longest CG/Backgrounds 35% done
Akiro Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I would use my keyboard but one of my arrow keys acts really weird :c. I'm not sure why the super only comes out 40% of the time though, I'm hoping its just a execution issue.
Medic Haus Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I play with a keyboard, and the only thing that's really hard for me is looping 5A > 5B > 632146C with Shannon (I don't have Cross yet, so I'm not sure if there's anything harder), so I don't think there's anything wrong with the keyboard controls. It might be in your best interest to play the game with a controller.
Bolverk-GTM Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 You do need the first Umineko updated to 1.10 to correctly install Cross. *sigh* I uninstalled the first Umineko in order to try and install Cross. :c Welp... Guess I'll look for the disc...
PLZSIC Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Apparently B. Battler is disabled over netplay. Not sure what it says since I'm unable to read moonrunes. My friend was really disappointed that he couldn't select him :/.
Starlight777 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Apparently B. Battler is disabled over netplay. Not sure what it says since I'm unable to read moonrunes. My friend was really disappointed that he couldn't select him :/. Well that's lame, nothing even looks broken about him to justify that.
PLZSIC Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) We had him both unlocked, so the look on my face when he wasn't an option was rather dumbfounded. In other news, I found the moveset lists for the three new characters. B. Battler Dlanor Erika Erika's moveset makes me shoot myself because it makes no sense, but Dlanor's makes a bit more sense now. I really need to become fluent in this language. At least Erika can double jump. On further inspection, she has some weird Ericopter move that's sort of like the first part of a rekka, then it brings her into the air where the last two hits of the rekka are a different input and air only? Her 22 is a counter. She also has a [4]6A/B/C which turns her scythe into a boomerang. Her style of play confuses me greatly. Edited January 2, 2012 by PLZSIC
Tong Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Erika just needs a 360 move:kitty: Thanks for the Moves, now I just gotta find individual Bnbs...
WitchOfRiddles Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Stages 100% Sprites 50% Sounds/Voices 10% (Storyline voices wouldnt let me rip them) CG/Backgrounds 45%
Medic Haus Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) I've been messing around with Erika and Dlanor quite a bit, and I've discovered that Dlanor can cancel into 22A+B to continue combos. May not be the most practical thing in the world, but it's something. Examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3j7_J2P9tyc From what I've come up with for Erika, her ideal meterless BnBs are 2A > 2B > 6B > 5C > [4]6C at midscreen, and 2A > 2B > 6B > 5C > 2C > 421A > j.C > JC > j.B > j.C > j.214A in the corner. You can start both of them with 22A > j.C, but the corner combo requires that you omit 5C in exchange. Edited January 2, 2012 by Medic Haus
Final Ultima Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Ugh, my data started off fresh. I really don't want to unlock everything all over again. Getting all the new CG is bad enough. Did this happen for everyone or just people that tried the installer first? If its the latter, does anyone have a save file I can use? In other news, loving B.Battler's SP2. Goddamn. I imagine it'd work really well for Jessica too. You have enough time to tag her in, activate Enchant and go to town. Edited January 2, 2012 by Final Ultima
xlolxlolx Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 hmmm erika's [4]6AB can be linked into 2B>2C>421A>stuff, so in corner 6B>2B>5C>DC>6B>2B>5C>[4]6AB>2B>2C>421A(dizzy)>stuff = 2k+ dmg
Medic Haus Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Ugh, my data started off fresh. I really don't want to unlock everything all over again. Getting all the new CG is bad enough. Did this happen for everyone or just people that tried the installer first? If its the latter, does anyone have a save file I can use? My data was reset as well. It's a bit annoying, but I can deal with it. In other news, loving B.Battler's SP2. Goddamn. I imagine it'd work really well for Jessica too. You have enough time to tag her in, activate Enchant and go to town. This. It's not as weird as George's SP2 (three stuns in a single combo for the win?), but it has such ridiculous combo ability. While we're on this topic, is there any actual use for Erika's SP2?
Tong Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Indeed, B.Battler is like Guile theme. Goes well with everthing, anyone who pairs up with him will have a great increase in combo potential, just because of that Beastly SP2. A little bit: Off of any sweep (2C/3C), an Assist Attack (Attack Touch) will put the opponent in an infinite juggle state. Any move can combo and hit in this particular case, even Meta supers. Thought, they can still auto-recover because of untechable time of each move (which is weird in a game like this) or when landing. Example: Dlanor can't combo 5B c.5C normally, though off any Airhit Counter or 2C 5D she can. So yes, Air combos exists to some extent in this game. And don't forget GGX-like OTG combos. xlolxlolx Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 erika's sp2 looks like u can use it as combo ender then do a mixup like 2B>6C>swap, not worth doing imo
WitchOfRiddles Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Stages 100% Sprites 75% (Only needs Transparency now) Sounds/Voices 10% CG/Backgrounds 35% I decided to release everything in both No Transparency and Transparency formats! I'll be posting the none Transparency Stages and Sprites 1st for those who cant wait and wants to transparent it themselves. Also the none Transparency is so that people who likes to create Mugen characters have a better time identifying the objects. I'm raring the 2 files now and will post a link to get them. As soon they are uploaded! By the way I found that they made a tribute to Hatsune Miku by turning Erika's alternate colors to that of Miku. Try it in the game! Erika vs. Erika!!
WitchOfRiddles Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Stages without Transparency http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8NGSTCSW Characters without Transparency http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CQ1SAGE5 Stages with Transparency http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UIOJXIDR (Warning the Stages are really messed up with transparency this is for ability to move the animation parts of the stage onto the no transparent stage this is for the mugen creators that will need both transparency and no transparency) Story ripped http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZU1RHZAX Some of the pictures here I made transparent the character sprites that are used for storyline were. Everything is here except the storyline voices which I will have to say im unable to rip for circumstances I dont know of. Characters with Transparency http://www.megaupload.com/?d=N4HE63B4 While all characters in-game sprite came out 100% fine the Transparencies royally screwed some of the character CG's. Must turn off Transparency on these few pictures to see how it looks normally. Of course if you already have the no transparency pack then you already got the fixed version of those few CG's. ETC http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8NW7FQ22 Voices once again unable to rip out of but suprise!! Download this and you'll find a sneak peak at what Bernkastel/Lambdadelta and Willards sprite looks like! Unless someone can find a way to rip voices this is completely done. Also they protected alot of the newer CG's by creating a .CG extention format. I dont have anything to open this format or maybe possible distract it?? All I know is that CG is short for Computer Graphics! So I only posted the CG's that allowed me to extract from the .bin files. Oddly enough I like to add that while in the voice.bin extracted almost exactly the same as the original ougon did except for the fact it extracts them as more .bin instead of .wav. I came up with the idea of renaming these new .bin to .wav and got no luck. I tried to extract these new .bin files but got even more .bin files which came out twice the size as the original .bin (trash data). I'd say they protected the voices pretty good this time and their CG! So if anyone successfully extracts these please post! Edited January 5, 2012 by WitchOfRiddles
TSHKN Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 My data was reset as well. It's a bit annoying, but I can deal with it. This. It's not as weird as George's SP2 (three stuns in a single combo for the win?), but it has such ridiculous combo ability. Aegis High Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 How the hell does the air guard works on this game? sometimes I can block atacks, sometimes I can't, like Beatrice dp. Also the AI of this game is very annoying, just look at George's meta world.
Tong Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 You're not supposed to airblock grounded attacks I think.
FrostyPhoenix Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Is anyone else having trouble selecting different BGMs during Netplay? It always goes to the default during the actual match for some reason.
Hamakusa Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Is anyone else having trouble selecting different BGMs during Netplay? It always goes to the default during the actual match for some reason. I'm having the same trouble. Offline too.
Aegis High Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 You're not supposed to airblock grounded attacks I think. Well, that's lame
SolxBaiken Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 They added air block, but it's not there to make "chicken" blocking easy, it's just another defensive option, especially since this game now has air combos. pretty much any ground move is air unblockable, with specials it will vary (put pretty much any DP will outright beat air block). Also I was messing with Dlanor's shield assist thing, I know for a fact EX GREATLY decreases the rate Break Limit rises, but I'm still not a 100% sure what the normal one does... Also Rosa is fucking amazing, especially once I found out that 3C on hit puts you in an aerial state, which means for no meter [depending on if your gun is loaded] you have a safe reload option and a good combo ender using j236+A or B (sadly doesn't work with C :<). And if you have meter but aren't loaded you still have a great combo ender with 3C > EX Reload > Shoot/Super. Like I still think EX Reload is trash on the ground but in the air it is super legit since it allows for followup without touching the ground~<3
Tong Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) Well, I imagine that it would be silly given the lack of offensive mechanics in this game. Anyway, this is the basic staple for B.Battler that garantees stun by "wasting" nothing more than 2 Bars, thanks to his Overpowered SP2. j.C (j.B) (dash) 3B 6B c.5C (DC) 3B 6B c.5C 2C 236236C dash 3B 6B c.5C dash n.j.C n.j.B dash 3B 6B c.5C 2C 214C (2A 2B/3B 2C OTG) Damage:2941 Without j.B:2863 Video reference Edited January 3, 2012 by Tong
