She can create black holes whenever she wants, and can kill unfailingly. Also, since all of the moves are weird novel references I could see her having a popcorn special.

The only fight she had was in Twilight of Golden Witch, versus Bernkastel, and what is this black hole thing lol. Her powers in EP8 are only the ability of summoning some special candies that explode like fireworks

About the black hole part, I think that was Gaap you were thinking of correct if I'm wrong. Also that part about the exploding candy sounds like it would fit with her probably being a zoner.

I honestly can't say I like Dlanor's voice actor too much. I figured her voice would be a little deeper than that, now she doesn't seem quite as intimidating in my opinion. I absolutely love Erika's Meta-Super though.

There's no reason to buy the 360 port, Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross is the last revision and it has more option, more character, new mechanics, etc.

It's not 100 dollars anywhere, Ougon Musou Kyoku and Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross (both for PC) are about 3000 yen (not sure how much in dollars, 'cause I'm european, but still under 50$), and the 360's port price dropped a lot in the last month, and I remember seein' it about 5000 yen.

That's not true at all. The biggest reason I have for doing such is that my laptop is not powerful enough to run games. Plus I would assume the newest version would find itself patched into the 360 port eventually.

Okay This is what you have to do!

1. Regions must be set to japan before install if you havent already

2. Must have the original game Ougon Musou Kyoku installed

3. Ougon Cross is a expansion patch you must move the files correctly to each folder and copy over the original games .exe (Do not replace folders just replaces files inside sub folders with the correct file

4.Make sure you have the latest direct x installed which comes with the original game.

PS. Im currently ripping all stages/sounds/voices and sprites off of Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross and I'll post here asap when its finished!

Dlanor confuses me...I think she's supposed to be a grappler. 22A/B/C also summons Cornelia, but I have no idea what it's supposed to do. Does anyone have a list of moves for the new characters? Rosa is really fun despite being a bit simple.

Testing that out right now. I can confirm that Erika's meta only works while in the air.

Edit: It's not that, and it doesn't seem to block chip damage either. There's a visual effect when Dlanor blocks while Cornelia is summoned, but I'm not quite sure what it is.

Anyone else here maining Rosa? This is going to be my first time playing this game and I'm not sure if shes a good character to start out with due to her playstyle but I'm determined to learn her and George. :U Is there a hamachi room or IRC for this game on dustloop yet?

I'm considering maining Rosa, even if my heart is always with Shannon in this game :3. She's rather simple, but she's really good when it comes to punishing overly defensive characters and recklessly offensive characters from what I've gleaned. She only has three special moves

though I could just be not recognizing some inputs, I tried all the standard ones

. She reloads her gun for 236 then then 623 fires a bullet, which I think is like a ranged DP move? She also has a backwards roll on 214 to give her some space, and the A+B SP version turns her roll into a golden bar thing that you've probably seen somewhere that's some kind of combo ender. I haven't really fiddled with George, but he's a defensive based countering/kick character. His meta super may be a counter, but it's really effective if you have good timing like a robot.

Edit: The 1 bar versions of Rosa's other two supers, her reload and fire, are interesting. If you use one bar on the reload, I'm not sure of the difference besides super screen freeze. If you use the 1 bar version of the firing special; however, Rosa does this spinning kick thing and then fires her gun. I'm guessing if you have two bars, you can combo a reload into a fire to cause stun and lead into your meta super.

Edit 2: Did some fiddling around with Rosa in training.

Her 236A/B/C basically ends her combo potential if she doesn't have a bullet. You can, on the bright side, use the 1 bar version in combos to extend your combo. For example

5ABC236A/B/C will end the combo right there. If you, on the other hand, do 5ABC236A+B, you can continue comboing from there or choose to end your combo with 623A+B if you have another SP bar. An example combo for Rosa with two bars could go as follows.

2B 5B 5C Dash Cancel 2B 5B 5C 236 A+B 623 A+B. It's really really fun! She has way more depth than I thought originally ;D.

I keep getting that error too :|, I have the original game plus the latest update. Also thanks for the help PLZSIC, I was a bit lost on where to start with Rosa when I get the game running, but atleast now I have some kind of footing to know where to start.

Install the original game in japanese local. I havent confirmed this but you might need the latest patch 1.10 installed in the original game and also patch the Expansion Cross in japanese local on your computer. If you dont know how to do that you must go to control panel --> Regions and Languages. If this is your 1st time doing so it will have you download/install japanese onto your computer. Need your windows xp disc if on xp/windows 7. Ultimate 7 users gets a free download via windows update and dont need thier windows disk. After install you must restart.

Akiro your error message isnt showing up in japanese which clearly shows to me that you're not in japanese local windows.

You do need the first Umineko updated to 1.10 to correctly install Cross.

Got it to work, thanks guys. It turns out I just had to directly copy over the old files with the new one instead of using the installer. One more question, is the ingame controller set up any good? Or should I use something like xpadder? I'm not sure if its just my execution thats wrong of if its the game. But every time I try to do Rosa's 23462346 BC super (the one where she dashes at the opponent and combos them) and most of the time it isn't even coming out. Only like 25% of the time it does.

I can play fine with a keyboard, but that's just me. I use a fighting stick since it's really versatile. I'd imagine with a game controller it wouldn't be too difficult since you can map A+B, B+C, and A+B+C to separate buttons.
