Medic Haus Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) j.C > j.B > 2B > 6B > 5C > 2C > Attack Touch > Dash > 5B > 5C > HJC > j.B > j.C > j.63214A+B > 2C with B. Battler and Dlanor does 2891 damage for one SP Stock, but doesn't stun. It looks really cool though. I still think EX Reload is trash on the ground EX Reload pauses time, which can be used to extend ground combos (2B > c.5B > c.5C > 236A+B > f.5C (2) > 3C > 236B is one example that works everywhere and does decent damage) and can be used as a reversal. For example, Rosa gets knocked down without a shot loaded. The opponent decides to take advantage of this, and goes for a jumpin on Rosa's wakeup. Rosa uses EX Reload as a reversal and then safely anti-airs them. I've done this before. Edited January 3, 2012 by Medic Haus
encephlon Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Can someone confirm if princess mode has exclusive combos? i.e. Dlanor's 2C>6C?
BKDennis Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Finally managed to play this, I like all the new characters, but I don't think Dlanor is good, she lacks mobility pretty bad and she has a poor mixup (IMHO)
SolxBaiken Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) Well Princess Mode is limited, but some of the combos are physically impossible in Normal Mode, for example the basic combo they gave Rosa is impossible because no matter the distance, the first attack is ALWAYS her Far A, like wise later in the combo is a Far C with both hits connecting leading into a 3C, this is also impossible because of the distance required for Far C (especially for both hits to combo). But yeah playing in Princess won't help you any if you're serious about the game [especially now that I know it will show you things that may or may not be possible during Normal play] So I'm happy and sad, Rosa can hold A to prevent firing during a loaded 236+A, but it only works with A and doesn't work with j236+A ; w; Also I discovered her rolls have NO invincibility at all and if you are hit during them you are left in counter hit state, this is pretty much yomi and distance tool [like if you're doing a combo where you know you'll be punished somewhere inbetween/after, end the combo with a roll]. Obviously if you're back is against the wall rolling is a horrible idea :< So yeah Back Step is what you want if you want to escape using mobile invul frames. EDIT Finally managed to play this, I like all the new characters, but I don't think Dlanor is good, she lacks mobility pretty bad and she has a poor mixup (IMHO) She doesn't need great mixup, she has an easy to connect command throw and an air throw which stuffs ALOT of stuff. Her EX Shield greatly reduces the rate at which the Break Limit bar rises, so she can afford to be a bit more defensive and patient than the rest. Her dash Special is pretty weak [even the EX ver] but it might just be a tool for keeping in on your opponent. I don't think she's bad, just unorthodox, it's really too early to judge the new characters [except the ones that appeared in X, but I doubt any of use had much exposure to that version]. EX Reload pauses time, which can be used to extend ground combos (2B > c.5B > c.5C > 236A+B > f.5C (2) > 3C > 236B is one example that works everywhere and does decent damage) and can be used as a reversal. For example, Rosa gets knocked down without a shot loaded. The opponent decides to take advantage of this, and goes for a jumpin on Rosa's wakeup. Rosa uses EX Reload as a reversal and then safely anti-airs them. I've done this before. Good to know, that makes it that much more viable, I was already in love with Aerial EX Reload, and hopefully this will make the ground ver that much better ^^ Edited January 3, 2012 by SolxBaiken
Tong Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Dlanor has: -Good/Awesome range in normals -Slow mobility -An auto-guard advacing move -Protective stuff againt projectiles -Command grabs -Huge damage Potemkin has all of these too, therefore Dlanor is a grappler.
Final Ultima Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Hmm, correct me if I'm wrong, but it's still the case that combos in this game basically do more damage the more hits you throw in regardless, right? No heavy proration or anything. If that is the case, why don't those previously listed combos have any As in them? They're fast moves that basically don't hurt combo damage at all.
xlolxlolx Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 using As mid combo does drop damage a bit, but it makes them easier sometimes and other times itll add a little too much knockback and youll need to change the string you use so its up to you really, but As as a starter is already going to give you avg dmg so something like 2Ax3>2B>6B>5C>DC>6B>2B>5C>[4]6C for erika will net you about 1.4k iirc
Bolverk-GTM Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Dlanor has: -Good/Awesome range in normals -Slow mobility -An auto-guard advacing move -Protective stuff againt projectiles -Command grabs -Huge damage Potemkin has all of these too, therefore Dlanor is a grappler. Not to mention she has a basic mix-up game. As I learned from my matches with SoBa today, Dlanor's 6C is an overhead and I've seen videos where it can be followed up with a combo if you have meter. I like Dlanor a lot. I also like George. These are my two characters until LambdaDelta and Will come out.
SolxBaiken Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Yeah F Dlanor, I hate her, she's pretty amazing D: I need to practice pulling off combos in actual fights But good games otherwise GTM, we'll play again soon!
Bolverk-GTM Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 pretty much all 6Cs are overheads btw I never would've guessed... Well that's good to know~
xlolxlolx Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) dlanor's 2C can link into 5A>5B/5C>air combo>command throw at close range, 5C only works if you hit 2C at point blank, sooooo...... j.C>j.B>dash 5A>5B>2C>5A>5B>sj.B>j.C>command grab = 2.1k, midscreen you cant really do much with this aside from 5A>command grab Edited January 3, 2012 by xlolxlolx
Tong Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Nice find, too bad she has way too much pushback on her moves... or maybe I'm just used to Battler. It's also worth mentioning that f.5B 2C can't combo. 2B 2C is the ideal choice if you're unsure about the 5B's proximity.
xlolxlolx Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 f.B>2C for dlanor? it works fine :o and c.B>2C has less knockback than 2B>2C, might be possible to do 2C>5A>6B>fastest possible forward jump>command throw in midscreen but timing would be a bitch
Tong Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) How foolish of me, I meant 5A/2A f.5B lol But yes, it's worth the effort to dash in 5A c.5B Still, her timing is too weird :L Edited January 4, 2012 by Tong
xlolxlolx Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 its still easier than the shit i came up with for erika lolz
Tong Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) Hope this shit doesnt require you to be a Sean Gilley aka charge machine... Btw, here's the Full BnB for B.Battler. His Meta super is not worth for damage I guess... Damage scalling is strong in this one And for Dlanor, it's possible to 2C dash 5A if you're kinda far... but it's not worth the trouble. Medic Haus Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Charging Erika's [4]6 series in combos actually isn't very demanding. The charge time in this game is the shortest I've seen in any fighting game, to be honest. Hell, stuff like 6B > 5C > [4]6C works, to give you an idea of how short charge times are. What's really tricky with Erika is the spacing on her combos and linking off of [4]6A+B, though that becomes easy with practice.
xlolxlolx Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 its not the charge time, its the distance specific link for [4]6AB>2B, you just hold 4C instead for charge obviously herpderp
Starlight777 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbKdj2-gFDI I think we found something worse than SNK Boss Syndrome lol. All those Meta abilities are basically god moding! What is there to gain from beating him anyway?
WitchOfRiddles Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10547-Umineko-Fighter-Ougon-Musou-Kyoku&p=1229055#post1229055 I'm done extracting everything I possibly can. They protected some of the files in Cross like the new CG and voice folder by changing extension and adding a different way to extract the voice.bin file.
Tong Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 (edited) Thank you for these Witch! I'm preparing a color sheet for Battler. This game needs a color editor. Nah, too lazy right now. Edited January 5, 2012 by Tong
WitchOfRiddles Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Dlanor A. Knox says "Die The Death, Sentence To Death, Great Equalizer is the Death!" in the PS3 version. Far much slower and better then Ougon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoeVCLHUDn0&feature=related For anyone who said they hated her voice in ougon at least in the ps3 Visual Novel she sounds a thousand times more creepy!
