There will also be SSFIV and more. I AM TAKING PRE REGISTRATION IN THIS THREAD. IF YOU PLAN ON COMING, PLEASE POST YOUR TOURNAMENT NAME AND THE GAMES YOU WISH TO ENTER. I WILL COMPILE A LIST AND KEEP IT UPDATED. When: Saturday, January 8th, 2011. Where: Nickel City 555 Waukegan Road Northbrook, IL 60062 Closest Airport: Ohare Airport (ORD) Signups begin at 2:00 pm. All tournaments start at 3:00 pm (DONT BE LATE!) We can stay as late as 3 am, so there wont be a problem finishing everything. Though Nickel City is an arcade, all games will be played on console Fees: There will be a $10 venue fee. Please help out by bringing any TVs or consoles that would help things run smoother and allow for more casuals and tournaments to run faster. Anyone who brings a setup that we use in the tournaments will get 5 dollars off the Venue fee. Tournament games: the main event... In other words if the characters are available in the arcade version then they may be selectable in the tournament. If the GG players want to make this big thats up to them. All I did was put the wheel in motion. At the very least, I can tell you that there are a lot of Chicago players who have actually been playing quite regularly again (both old and new blood) Cue - You better come! We got lots of games to play and things to consume.

The sooner we can get this picked out the better, i don't wanna drive 35 minutes to get to the venue like last year, i couldnt get drunk with you guys!
ElvenShadow Posted December 12, 2010 Author Posted December 12, 2010 Well everyone, I have good news! The venue is changed. The tournament will now be at Nickel City! GGA is probably a nice place and all, but the party room there is just too small. With nickel City we can use their whole party room and everyone gets access to the arcade area as well so there will be much more space. And as a result of this, I will be adding more official games. As of now on the polls, the highiest ranked game is acutally KOF. I didnt realize KOF was so big but if everyone wants it, we will be having a KOF tournament. I just hope people can bring the game cuz I dont even own it. 2 next highest games are BB and Melty. I will ad both of those too, so we will have 5 official games and as in previous years, if theres space and time, people can run side tournaments as well. Is that incentive enough for you all to come now? The first post has been updated with the new information. Please pre register for the new games as well by posting in the thread. Would anyone like to help run these newly added games? As you all probably know, closest hotel is Red Roof Inn right accross the street. I added the info in the first post.
