every time I watch a match with arakune, all I can think is SUPER COOL CHARACTER ARCSYS. I really wish they'd just remove him since they clearly won't balance him.

Ara isn't that bad. He has a bunch of bad matchups, his pokes aren't stellar, etc.

To be honest, I would probably ask Arcsys to remove a bunch of other characters before him.

after watching enough of these videos, i can conclude that they did a horrible job balancing Hazama.
They actually broke him this time around. He can easily exceed 5K with meter from any starter, be it 2/5A or command grab... This isn't the case in CS1.

that's what i was getting at without saying anything inflammatory :p

I don't think Hazama is as unbalanced as you guys claim. Without meter, he has one of the lowest damage outputs in the game. Even in the corner, he usually nets around 2.5-3k if you're lucky. His high damage combos are higher damage than they were before, but rightfully so, since he needs the metere to make a significant impact. Burst out of his high damage combo, and he'll have to gain that 50 meter back again.

He's definitely not broken, possibly A tier, but people certainly won't be tier-whoring him.

Are you kidding me? 3C CH leads into absurd damage and absurd meter gain, without any meter on hand prior to the combo.

It's cool dude, you'll get it... someday. I use him as well, but it's clear as day that he is broken in CS2. Getting hit even once can cost you the match, this is the same thing that makes me rage about Litchi CS1 atm.

Lol, it can be dangerous taking advice from anyone on DL these day. the only thing concrete is Makoto is S tier and the rest is debatable.

Are we even certain of that? Aside from Tsujikawa i don't see them dominating too much....

if you take into account that tier are a character's max potential, fighting it out base on a technical(character) level Tsujikawa would be playing at makoto's max potential. beside that he is not beating weak players but actually highly strong players. When a character can steamroll good players you start thinking. beside from tsujikawa that could be because makoto is a technical character that needs more work or people are not that eager playing a furry over a loli ^^,

hazama is brokorz.

no one needs a magnifying glass to notice that.

or you can block low and stop getting hit by zaneiga :u. Ressenga has almost no reward now so try to predict it but...

Don't get hit by Zaneiga :u

It really seems too early to decide whether Hazama is broken or not, it's been all of 2 months for people to work things out. It's like how everybody was screaming about Noel dealing 4k off of unsafe starters when this started, and yet there aren't very many Noels besides R-1 in the videos. Let's give it time, people have yet to figure out everyone in the cast.

P.S. Isn't this the video discussion thread? Or did I accidentally walk into the "Let's Bitch About Characters We Don't Like To Face" thread again?

i don't think anybody is questioning how good noel is, so thats a pretty bad comparison. (because there aren't alot of noels/= noel being bad)

noel as a character isn't very popular in japan.

I'm not comparing Hazama to Noel, I'm comparing the complaining people are doing to how they were acting about a different character earlier. It looks pretty damn similar from my point of view.

And I somehow doubt popularity is all that big a concern. Not many people liked Bang as a character, and he was all over the place because he got people wins. I doubt that people will stop playing top tier characters because they don't aesthetically like them.

Idk about that, its more about Tsujikawa than makoto...by that logic from watching SBO max potential jin wins the Jin/Bang matchup lol.
