Oh and FYI Rachel is not that bad, I seen a vid of jin reacting to rachel's jump start up and blocking j.A. I wish I still had that link oh hoho. Good thing is she doesn't get crazy wind regeneration like she did in CT so you can wait it out. Too bad waiting it out means that your blocking perfectly and punishing when you get the chance, not too easy against someone like Rachel. I say so far the top tiers are fair this time a round.

It looks pretty damn similar from my point of view. And I somehow doubt popularity is all that big a concern. Not many people liked Bang as a character, and he was all over the place because he got people wins. I doubt that people will stop playing top tier characters because they don't aesthetically like them. bang is a pretty popular character in Japan. he is the only japanese character in the game.

Always had it in my head that Bang was universally unpopular. Still, my point stands that if a character were truly broken we'd see more of them. As it is, it seems like a fairly balanced mix, with characters being more evenly represented than before (with more difficult/technical characters like Carl being underrepresented). To me, there isn't anyone clearly ahead of the pack currently, so we should wait and see how everything develops.

smooshman Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I think cs2 is more balanced because people bitch about 1/3 of the cast being top tier.... on topic: I finally got around to watching the past million videos and I have to say, Tetsu vs Buppa was so.... disappointing. I thought it would be hype, but buppa won both rounds by near landslides. Also is it me, or does tetsu get hit by more lows than anything else?

The second match between Buppa and Tetsu was much better though. And in response to what people said earlier. 3C CH does yield a lot of damage for Hazama, but that's only CH. His overheads are nothing to fear when he doesn't have heat. As some of the others have said, it's way too early to rant about characters being broken. And they're attempting to balance the game much more, so the discussion should probably end there. Back to video discussion: It seems like Tetsu wasn't trying as hard overall, but I look forward to there next matches. Now we just need a collection of Tetsu vs Buppa matches, just like Kaqn vs Buppa. Instead it'll be true ice vs snakes, haha.
