Hmm it seems less elegant than something Raph would wear, but it definitely gets him that more menacing Dracula look (which we all know Raph is about!) I doubt the man is Nightmare simple because......NIGHTMARE IS A SUIT OF ARMOR, so unless his will posses a new weapon (a new incomplete Soul Edge?) and found a new host that can't be him cause Nightmare has no flowing locks of gorgeous hair = w= But honestly I want them to be [New Character 1] and [New Character 2], it's been awhile since we've seen either of these character and this is the perfect time to bring them back! :3c

iw2ma Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Nightmare can be human, and the new swords are smaller in general so Nightmares new weapon can be a substitute for it's host or whatever.

Nightmare is the will of Soul Edge, the only time it manifested into flesh was when it was closely bonded with Siegfried, once they separated it was able to posses the remnants of the armor left behind. The ONLY way that could be Nightmare is through my previous theory; That's Nightmare's new host body and Nightmare has taken the form of a new weapon (incomplete Soul Edge?) Also unless (oh dear god please NO) Soul Calibur is getting more moe, her clothing doesn't look to Oriental to me, I see the possible plating, but she gives me a far more Western feel (possible Middle Eastern) But yeah I want them both to be 100% new characters, and I'd be ok with that being Nightmare if it follows my theory cause he'd still be a new character.

Ones from behind the shoulder, and the other is from behind her lower back. Just like Taki. Mystery solv-ed. As for the male character....it's obviously the mighty Lizard Man

Sure this new SC game will recieve a lot of flak (like 3s did) but it will most likely turn out to be a better game than SC4 (and 3 as well). But really, I'm not hung up on the possibility of completely losing a bunch of characters if the trade-off is a better and fresher game. Besides, some of the new characters will probably be interesting or cool, so all is good.

Besides, some of the new characters will probably be interesting or cool, so all is good. yeah agreed. theres gonna be a lot of whining about missing characters (just look at hwang these past games), and about the new characters. im a fan of change, and i think doing this was a VERY smart decision.

They both had too unique of playstyles to have them be in only one game, though I know they would need to be toned down a little (since Hilde was the best character), but re-balance always comes with a new release.
