Blackout2021 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Ok guys I have decided to pick up BB again and the last time I played the game seriously was CS2 and even then I didn't play it for that long but I've decided to get back into it once I can use Relius again. Anyways where can I be directed to that can give me an idea of what Carl is supposed to be doing in this game because all the old stuff I used to do does like a crappy 2k now.

I'm still maining him, but it makes me sad to see this EDIT: How is it that there's a tier list on the first day? Is this a normal occurrence? They're good as an indicator of who is easiest to play and get damage from simple combos. Once people start discovering the techs the day one tier lists are thrown out the window. Alternately they can be jokes intended to bunch up the collective panties of people that put faith in tier lists.

BUT i do think that a.) first impreson tiers are bull shit b.) Carl, being the silly character he is, will eventually have some kind of retard set up that makes him good. I would not be surprised however if he goes mid. Loosing the force-standing does hurt. Yes we can still catch tech-rolls with 3D but the reason force standing was amazing is simply that by ending a knockdown with force standing as opposed to roll-punishing, you go straight into high/low mix ups. And I'm going to miss that so very much. And yes i want footage. of every character actually.

Well, when BBCS2 come out Carl was considerated A tier, that could be because they manage to get some idea of Carl new oki. Still, Carl have a very big learning curve so is no way that our char is a full potential day 1 of the game. I was wondering now that 3]D[ bounce.... stuff like 5B,2B, 5C, 3]D[, j2,C, j.B, j.C, 5B,2B , 6B, 2]D[ crossup or reset wouldn't be possibly. That make me sad because that stuff was since CT if i recall correclty.

I think he means that it's become slightly less useful because it used to force stand KD opponents but now that it bounces them (potentially away from Carl), it's not as useful in oki game? I'm not sure, I could be wrong lol. Also, are we gonna bother to make a new CSX thread? I mean for new people that come after CSX comes out? There's not many of us though, so I dunno if we should bother right now..

Oh? It only bounce when you KD the opponent? i didnt notice that. We still haven´t see how is the new 3]D[, i hope that in a few days we can see Carl new stuff in action.

It would be a good idea, since having the same thread for 4 different carls is crazy, and messy! *_* but going on the tier thing, like somebody said, it's based on the easiest character to get the most damage off of, but I wouldn't be surprised if carl was D tier material.. but like somebody else said, 3D bounce(or carl in general) may have another secret purpose that nobody knows about yet...

I really want to see some vs Carl, but also, just Carl vids in general. Last time I checked the CSX changes thread, there's literally nothing for him >__> Was hoping to see some Carl on that stream Dora was playing on, but no Carls

I heard that it's priced the equivalent of 60$ in Japan though..that worries me, but I'll still pick it up regardless.
