No. There was a Konoha using the Wind one over and over to make some SERIOUS pressure. Another Konoha using Baldur's cannon blasts for scary crossup stuff. A Kira was doing some easy good damage with the Oreichaclos one too. Also seeing as Time is decent for Kamui, seeing some sweet combos with that would be cool in the future.
7thFonon Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Yeah, Eclipse is great. There's really no reason not to use it. especially wind, dark (if you use Weiss/Akane/Petra), and mirror. Fenrir looks good too. There was actually a konoha at the Examu Cup that had a nice left/right mixup off Fenrir Eclipse (in which could probably give other characters like Saki or Akane that same 50/50 setup as well). http://ja.twitch.tv/examucup/b/401963667 Not to mention there were other setups like Love Wiess eclipse combo into free equip in the corner, mirror eclipse into equip, etc. Honestly I think this mechanic is going to be a regular part of this game once people familiarize themselves with it. 7thFonon Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Arcana Eclipse -During Extend Force mode, use 214B+C for an additional attack (arcana eclipse) -after activating, until the Eclipse Attack(or status effect) is finished, you cannot recover your EF guage. -after using an eclipse, the EF Guage recovers at 0.8 times the speed of a normal EF activation. No meter usage. You're only requirement in order to use Eclipse is to be in EF.

First of all, is it really inescapable, or wouldn't a move with some invincibility be able to go through it? Also: does it only work from the 3rd hit of 5C/6C, or would 5C(1) > 2E also work? 5C(3) doesn't seem to hit against most grounded characters. I'm also a little confused about her EFC combos where I see "5C > 2E (charged)" because I'm not sure whether it's intended to be a normal combo off of 5C(1) and a partially charged 2E, or if it uses the reset. Sorry for the day 1 noob questions, I just picked up this character.
nadakaineko Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Celerity, what you're asking about is 2F suki, which a few other characters have as well (Elsa, Clarice, Zenia). Basically, when you recover from a grounded hit, there are two frames where you can only block -- you can't do anything else. So all 2F suki's in AH3 are inescapable resets if you do them correctly. Lilica's is the easiest to time since all you have to do is 5C(1) and start charging 2E as soon as 5C(1) hits. It's probably possible to do it on other hits but 5C(1) is the easiest. For combo notation, if you ever see "EFC > 5C 2E (Charged)", that means 2F suki. No worries about the questions! Keep em' coming!
