Sorry about last week, I was in a long-distance call with my mom that ended up dragging on pretty late.

I'll try to be out this week, although I haven't been much in the mood for fighting games recently.

I was wondering where you were! That's fine though, you can come even if it's just to hang out and not play fighting games, we're friends, after all~

Reminder that tomorrow I'd really like to run a tournament for Persona 4 Arena. Entry will be two (2) american dollars. We need at least 8 people. If we can get a consistent group of this size each week I think it'd be good for the scene, especially if Ryan lets us stream the tournaments. So bring two bucks and tell your friends and all that jazz.

I am absolutely terrible, but I will join every week I can.

Didn't you say you have a friend who plays also? Try to bring him along too.

Yaaaay entries. If there is interest we can bump the stakes up higher but I figure keeping it low will make it more accessible.

Me either. We should be friends.

See you guys later tonight, also can someone bring a laptop for Melty?

We had a good turnout tonight. 11 people entered the tournament, and there were lots more people playing casuals. Here's the bracket and placings: http://challonge.com/dlsdp4aa

1. TsukiBaka (BLUE fucking NINJA) [Labrys]

2. shtkn [Mitsuru]

3. Chen (Anal Avenger) [Yosuke]

Shoutouts to ANAL AVENGER vs. Dickbutt and whatever else was going on with the names tonight.

I should note that tomorrow (today/Saturday) Oceanside Fight Club is going to be having their events at Saltmines, due to problems with their regular venue. So go and check that out if you have the time. Otherwise, I'll see you guys next week where I'll be running another tournament in the same format.

Sounds like you guys had a blast, I unfortunately fell asleep unintentionally.

I'll make it next week.

Will there be Guilty Gear?

I'm itching to try it out.

I need to replace the stock buttons on my stick. I don't know much about this stuff, but the Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons are good, right? And what's a good place to buy them?

Also, is anyone willing to lend me a soldering kit? Or maybe willing to help me replace the buttons on my stick?

There was a guilty gear station running all night, so chances are good that it'll be running every time. I didn't get to play it but I also want to start trying it out.

Hey, thanks for the games on Friday. It was fun to actually play GG against other people again. I'll be trying to go more often and playing different games too.

^This is where I bought my joystick buttons. They ship once a month, however, so you may be waiting for your parts for a while. I can help you with the soldering part, though. It will also help if you know where the connections go, and if it's compatible with your joystick's computer board. I had to remove one of the PCBs on my stick and use direct wiring to the other pcb in order to get the buttons to work, for example.

Glad to have you, man. I'll try to hop in some GG since I want to learn that game. :)

Sorry I couldn't hang out at OFC for very long today, I have a lot of work this week. Looks like it had a good turnout anyways.

This is closer, it's in LA and you usually get it within 3-4 days. Akiharabara Shop gets expensive due to shipping and fee from Paypal for changing currency. You don't need a soldering kit for it, it's just unplug and replug it back. You can do it by yourself and watch some tutorials, if you do, I highly advise you to use some masking tape and tape together each buttons connecting wires and mark them to the button of it. If you need help, bring it out Friday so I can help you.

Edit: Which stick are you replacing buttons for?

It's a Hori VX. It has a common ground PCB. I don't know if this is a good thing or not.

Probably a bit early, but since it's regarding EVO, I might as well ask and it's never too early to coordinate but anyway, who here is actually going? It's a maybe for me but I'd definitely would love to go to support P4A, and if I'm going, I'd like to share a room with you guys, I'll definitely pay my share for it. :)

EDIT: My friend's car is gonna be filled up so he can't give me a ride, so now I really don't know if I'm able to go lol. Worst case scenario would be that I drive by myself though I'd like to avoid that.

If you can make the drive to Lancaster, or at worst, LA, I could probably give you a ride to Evo. However, I'm staying until Monday, so keep that in mind.
