Chumaralupa Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I'm not sure double button presses are any harder than pushing one button, I mean you do have enough fingers for all the buttons, but yeah I wish they just went the Marvel route since they are using two buttons or made the inputs a little more universal like Persona, I'd be fine with qcfx2 A+B. I still wanna try playing this game with somebody online, don't check the forums too often but maybe I'll get lucky. I'd prefer to play with West Coast if possible.
Chainsaw Guitar Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I don't think the super inputs are that bad. Buffering stuff is pretty easy thanks to hit stun being rather generous.
Julimano Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 it is just me or the online mode is not working anymore?
FerrellJ Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 it is just me or the online mode is not working anymore? It was working fine for me this morning with some of my friends in player matches. The room crapped out at one point and the host wasn't able to re-host, but I was.

drzero7 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) Okay, then I'll ask for some char specifics, since http://wiki.mizuumi.net doesn't list touka combos, some I found out. ---- Touka 2A2B, 236AAAA (Just frame all) 2141236A+B 5C (CH) 66 cancel, 2A2B, 236AAAA (JF) 2141236A+B Grab, 5A, 2141236A+B ----- Any combo that uses Touka's DP? corner combo? Air-born foe? (like 2A into 2B whiffs if I hit them while the foe is about to jump.) Or her LV3 super finisher? Also wants to know how to play Hakuoro, Chizuru, Kagura. (Kagura one is pretty detailed so isn't too much of an issue. Edited October 7, 2012 by drzero7
Chumaralupa Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 You can do her LV3 off of any 5A I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure you could find a corner combo extender with an assist, but I play her with Rina so I just carry to the corner and finish with a J.A -> Air super after Rina blows her load all over my opponent. 5A is essentially her anti-air, if you can even call it that. If by "Touka's DP" you mean her air DP, the real use for that is to TK is for an instant overhead, and if you do it in the corner you can do 5A -> B+C/Super/646A->A It's pretty important if you wanna play Touka/Rina because you usually just combo to the corner and then for a low/high mixup for a reset off of the explosion.
drzero7 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 yeah, when I say Touka's DP, I mean j623X So, the combo is 5A, B+C, 2141236A+B super or j641236A+B super?
FerrellJ Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 (edited) Any combo that uses Touka's DP. The main use for her j.623X, as Chumaralupa noted, is for instant overheads- it's pretty much the reason Touka has a short hop. Usually, if I'm able to combo into it, I'd opt for the super version instead. That said, you can also use it to keep yourself airborne if someone tries to punish a jump. I haven't checked but it may be a good way to hit Konomi out of her unblockable dog super since the hitbox presumably extends lower than Touka's hitbox. Edited October 8, 2012 by FerrellJ
Chumaralupa Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 When I put the "/" that means you can choose between those. So in the corner do TK J.623A -> land -> 5A -> Then choose either B+C or 2141236A+B or the LV3 (whatever the input was) or 646A->A

TekkamanArk Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 This game looks really fun, I hope to get it soon. I'd be playing Oboro, Chizuru, and Touka mostly.
SolxBaiken Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 Ugh, no more Chizu-Army D: Touka is cool but if you can't consistently get her Just Frames (which with the current netplay can be difficult) she doesn't play as effectively. Oboro is pretty cool because he has a more extended ground game than most others and if you can master his counters and know when to mixup with his command grab you can do some pretty dirty things.
Kurushii Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 This game looks really fun, I hope to get it soon. I'd be playing Oboro, Chizuru, and Touka mostly. Great choice. :D
TekkamanArk Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Great choice. :D After what another poster said, I suppose that is sarcasm. Well, she looked fun in her trailer, so overused or not, I plan to play her. I will give everyone a fair shot though, as I could indeed be surprised by other cast members.
Kurushii Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I main Chizuru/Rina so I agree with anyone picking her. :3

Level5-Chan Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Getting depressed... Even if I tried opening a lobby, nobody's playing it online. I'm sad. Need to release it international.
Yggjrasil Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Corrected :3 but isn't Chizuru's VA the same woman who does Arcueid?
SolxBaiken Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 You know funny story, I didn't want to bring it up but might as well now. Kizuato (the story Chizuru comes from) directly inspired Tsukihime, in many ways you could see Tsukihime as a spiritual remake of Kizuato, so without it there wouldn't be one and thus no Melty Blood. Chizuru is just reclaiming her rightful place. still a piss easy character that's annoying to fight
