TekkamanArk Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I have the current game, but i'll be picking this up in November. I'll probably neglect the import simply because I can understand the localized one better.
Kurushii Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 it might get alot of tournament exposure like KoF and P4U, that would be simply awesome! It already gets tournament exposure in side tournaments. It'll never reach KoF and P4U numbers. So what if Atlus publishes and markets it. That means you have more casuals playing it for a few weeks. Doesn't mean the game is going to soar into the heavens with tournament turnouts. The people that were serious about playing it already imported. The Arcana community overall didn't support the game. Also with this coming out after BBCP JP release, don't expect many ASW players to even care about the localization.
NeoStrayCat Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Hopefully there will be a PSN release. That might be a possibly, since most fighters end up being released in both formats, so yeah...(hopefully make it $5 cheaper, wishful thinkink, lol.) At $30, that's a good price (same when AH1 came out at that price), might as well try something new to wait until other fighters come out at that time, most notably CP (Eng.) later down the line.

Whoa, what's with all the hostility O.o I know there are alot of meetups that feature some AP and that's cool, but with the way Atlus has been supporting KoF and P4U I thought they might extend that same level of visibility with AP, I'm not expecting it to sky rocket but it's always nice to have boost. I have no idea where all this aggression is coming from, unless we're not allowed to be excited about stuff
Chaoschao222 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 That post wasn't hostile at all A party-pooper, but not hostile.

ehuangsan Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 NorCal AP will definitely grow bigger and better because of this. There are a lot of NorCal people who want to play and join in but don't have the game. And from what I've seen @ EVO for the rest of the US, NorCal is the only place that appears to matter for AP m9(`・ω・´)
Rhiya Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Well, honestly, AquaPazza just isn't a similar game to AH3. It's not surprising a community wouldn't support a game unlike the one they already like. Enough examples of that lying around. AquaPazza's mechanics could probably draw different kinds of players, though. It could end up with a healthy community -- just not the same one playing airdashers almost exclusively.
Tari Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Assuming I have the money (which I very well may not, what with all the October game releases), I'll probably pick this game up. Even if I don't try playing it seriously, watching Tamaki flick people and glare across the screen is too good to pass up.
00Bubbles00 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) Aquapazza seems like one of those SF style games. Good for those people who hate ASW style games. I know some friends who detest games with 10+ move combos. Here is a new siliconera article. It has some screen shots and no real info. It doesn't sound like there are any english voice overs for this. Has Sony NA changed their stance? http://www.siliconera.com/2013/08/21/aquapazza-coming-to-north-america-this-holiday/ Edited August 21, 2013 by 00Bubbles00
wenzel Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Official release from Atlus U.S.A Atlus U.S.A., Inc. @AtlusUSA 1h ANNOUNCEMENT: AquaPazza is coming to N. America on PS3 Holiday 2013 for $29.99!
Kaori Manabe Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 maybe our AP events will be 10 on 10 instead of 9 on 9 :P hope this makes some more people pick up the game
Agni Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Oh shit, Waterpizza is coming? I guess it'll be PSN, that'll help keep their profits higher, but I wonder how many people besides hardcore anime fighter fans will want to play it.

Friendly reminder, this will be both on Disc and Digital, so yeah.

I'm still sad I missed out on AP during EVO though Here's hoping to AP becoming ever more (slightly) relevant!
RurouniLoneWolf Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Aquapazza is getting localized? By Atlus? For $30? Well, time to find an Aquapazza waifu to swear my eternal loyalty to.
Kurushii Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Well, time to find an Aquapazza waifu to swear my eternal loyalty to. Chizuru/Rina
RagnellBlue Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 And here I thought I wouldn't have a reason to pick this game up again. Welp, time to start practicing my Sasara again.
Chumaralupa Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I tried looking around for some info but maybe I just heard a mis-leading rumor that there's an update for Aquapazza coming out? Like an arcade re-balance or something? God knows it needs one IMO.

Like an arcade re-balance or something? God knows it needs one IMO. I haven't heard or seen anything about this, though I hope it's true. Last update to the game was a few weeks ago, where they patched Boss Ma-Ryan assist and Mt. Uzuki stage into the nesica version from console.
Hecatom Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Aparently it has been confirmed that the USA release will be both physical and digial http://shoryuken.com/2013/08/21/atlus-bringing-aquapazza-to-playstation-3-in-north-america-this-november/
TAI-X Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 US release in less than a week and no one's talking about it? I know everyone's occupied with BBCP right now, but come on guys.
Elochai Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I'm definitely picking it up on Tuesday. It'll be a fresh experience since I pretty much only play ASW lol.
