Because Sword girl archetype is always Kuudere. Yuzu is genki. It's nice having a fun girl with a sword.

well to be fair the first 3 hours of the video is a 55 yuzu win streak :v: then after that there's some good gameplay with other characters.

So... was looking through the mook that was released back then (Kudos to arctus32 for the scans!) and that character concept chart really interested me.

I took note of the bottom chart and how it said it had Gordeau's and Seth's concepts on there. I couldn't even tell who was who! Kinda sucks though...

If the dragon scarf guy was one of their old concepts or something, then that's disappointing... he looked pretty cool :<

Well anyways, I'm gonna hold out for more characters in the future lol - afaik, there's Gordeau's buddy, Orie's friends, Kuon, "Wagner", "Adelheit".....

It's a massive shame that guy with a dragon for a scarf didn't make the cut, I would've really liked to see that in motion.

Nice, thanks for sharing. I always love seeing the differences between concept and final product. My thoughts:

Hyde- Lol, Ragna-esque hair with Seth's current hair palette. Also, gigantic ass sword.

Linne- Backhand sword seems longer as opposed to wider, and I can't tell if she has a weapon in her other hand. But I can't make out what's beside her left hip for the life of me, so maybe that's it.

Waldstein- Easily the least changed character. I don't notice any differences at all.

Carmine- Looks more or less the same to me. His clothes seem a bit tamer than his current attire, though.

Vatista- Oh my god so loli.

Mystery Girl?- Okay, I haven't seen any of UNIB's Arcade Modes, so maybe she's in the current story as an NPC. But I have no idea who she is, or who she's supposed to be. Maybe she was cut out to make room for Eltnum, perhaps due to their weapon similarities?

Orie- Seems like she either used to have a severe case of the Naoto syndrome, or used to be a guy. I kind of like the concept art character better, though. Looks much classier than Orie to me.

Dragon Scarf Guy- Looks cool. I kinda wish he'd made it into the game. Seems like he would have had an interesting moveset.

Third from the bottom left- I honestly can't decide if I think that's Gordeau or Seth. He has characteristics of both of them, but without a visible weapon, I have no idea. Compared to the rest, he does seem a little bland.

Merkava- Up there with Waldstein in the "unchanged" category.

Hilda- She looks... Younger. I dunno, current Hilda kind of gives me an old lady vibe. I would have preferred a character closer to the concept art, but for sake of diversity, maybe having her look older was a better choice.

Diaz?- First I've heard/seen of him. Kind of reminds me of the Imperator. I bet he'll show up in a later installment.

Yuzuriha- Nowhere to be found lol.

Some interesting stuff in that second picture, too. The mystery girl returns to the right of Orie, and there are two other characters to the right of Merkava. Still no Seth, Gordeau, Yuzuriha, or Merkava, either. Makes me wonder if they were replaced, or just put on hold.
