Nini Heart Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Good stuff guys, sounds like you guys repped MTL pretty well. Brice you've brought back my GG hype to full force from what I'm hearing about you :D Till September Repping MTL well, means going 0-2 and 2-2? You're probably the best MTL rep then. Definitely gonna be at NEC, I should be in NYC in December as usual, though I dunno how I missed it last year. I hope our top players(Kirbster/Vice) can make it out this time @_@. I think we should all go actually. That includes blade and shit.
Calm101 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) @Pochp: Thanks :D Edited June 27, 2011 by Calm101
pochp Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 in case anyone was wondering, here's what the total costs for the trip were (approx), divided by 4 for the costs we split up. room for 2 nights : 300/4 = 75$ gas total : 120/4 = 30$ highway toll : 20/4 = 5$ (lol missed a booth, gonna get fined by mail or something) venue fee : 25$ mcdonalds after the border : 8$ pizza : 8$ dunkin doughnuts : 7$ pizza : 7$ dunkin doughnuts : 7$ pizza : 8$ subtotal : 180$ entry for BB and AH3 singles: 10x2 = 20$ grand total : 200$
Calm101 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) 200$ sounds resonable especially for a 4 person road trip to New Jersey... Edited June 27, 2011 by Calm101
Brice Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 200$ sounds resonable especially for a 4 person road trip to toronto... lol we went to ect as in east coast throwdown in new jersey... :P and biscuits next time blow me up in GG, i absolutely don't know how eddie plays :D
Mr.Biscuits Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I didn't get to play any games the majority of the time. I only played about 45 minutes worth of casuals the entire weekend. It was worth it though, I just wanted everything to run smoothly so people can keep coming out to the events.
Sophisticat Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Damn, sounds like you guys had a good time. Don't feel too bad about SKD beating you guys, I know for a fact that this guy's a prodigy or something. Anyway, NEC... sounds good, actually. It's in December so Uni should be out and there's free time there. It's also far enough that I don't have any excuse to not know my Valk shit by then. Count me in for that one (so long as I can get my passport... >_>). Also surprised to see Raiza/Hellknight so high placed. I thought these guys were pure online warriors, but they show it can be otherwise. Guess I'll have to attend meetings now to build up my play again. Hype!
Steb Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 You were the Mu player? Zidane told us after we had left the NJ room that he thought you were good but lacked some matchup (Hazama) knowledge. LOL, that shows how much my Hazama sucks because me and pochp always play.
pochp Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Hype! Hype indeed! but on the subject of netplayers, don't forget omnisscythe (wasn't there but you know what I mean) and I think wolfkrone(not 100% sure he learned through netplay, but he definitely was there and won AE). So yeah, gonna netplay more now, I think it works and the lack of matchup exp was killing me. @Steb: don't think about it that way. He just had answers to the things I was abusing to beat you, so I had "flawed" matchup knowledge in a way. See it as a way to improve, as well as looking for a way to beat certain things. Like seriously, I could j.236A/j.D you about twice as much as zidane so my overall game was just completely ineffective against him, but against you, I didn't have to worry about finding solutions to your options, because you often drop combos or did less effecient ones.
Nini Heart Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 LOL, that shows how much my Hazama sucks because me and pochp always play. It's okay, I failed as MTL's other Hazama as well or Pedro would have known the matchup better.
Sophisticat Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Goddamn Platinum is a bitch ass crack ho. I'm going to have to work overtime to catch on CS2 I think. :< @Pedro: yeah, you can't diss netplay for the matchup exp. Offline is definitely the better experience, but online is great for general exp.
Skye Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Online is great for getting blown the fuck up because you swear you blocked that overhead or broke that grab. A strong offline scene is much better for general and match up exp, online is good for getting used to dealing with multiple playstyles and levels of skill, the former is only really viable if they are actually good players. Also, Hi MTL, Nini was trash talking MI.
Steb Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Well, I meant to say was my Hazama was a lot worse compared to Zidane's. I'm going back to training mode because my stuff is seriously outdated. I'll probably be at the HQ this Thursday.
Sophisticat Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Same here, thouugh I'll be going Sunday. I have 4 days off starting Friday, so Sunday is cool for me. Gonna show off my shitty Valk and get properly blown up. :D Anyway, peace out. Work, work, work.

Skye Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 The Truth =/= trash talk. I know. You were Trash Talking.
Skye Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 That's my night job. Trash Talking and staying free. Then I have nothing else to say.
A.X.I.S. Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 That's my night job. Preaching the truth. Sending Imaginary players to places that he can exist to expose people who play the game? Nah nigga you ain't a warrior.
kr3wman Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 being in mtl ruined my appreciation for trashtalking. god dustloop step it up.
Nini Heart Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Then I have nothing else to say. >implying you had something relevant to say to start with "Boohoo mtl, the big bad nini-sama is trash talking us"
Skye Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Pray for your boy, Nini, he bout to get jumped and robbed at MM. His money. His Starbursts. His clothes. His pride. ALL OF IT. We ain't even gotta lay a finger on him, Del will knock him out of the tourney.
