Brice Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 so much things to say so little memory to remember :P ok so like nini and t.kang said i was salty thursday :D. it's a rare sight that you will never see, because it only happens when i'm REALLY tired (which was the case thursday) and when i'm tired i play like a moron and i will lose to the same gimmicks over and over again truly thinking that i can't do shit against it (which is always false of course) so sunday i will be rested and will kick some ass to anybody who wants to come. looking at kirbster here, since blade and nini won't be there.... need to grind that rachel match up now that you are godlike with her XD next i wanna commentate so bad..... and HQ having no computer mouse, everybody bring one so were sure we have at least one on sunday :D fast edit : if nobody with a xbox is coming (or the BBCS disc) i will see if we can find it for cheap and buy it so we can always have a copy of it at hq and talk to cranky if it's possible to have an xbox with the dlc and stuff..... also i will start building hype in other canadian threads, but first i need some info on general things like : 1-exact date and place of the tourney 2-prices of everything 3-games that will be played 4-tournaments and entry fee 5-hype people that we know who will be there (like LK) 6-are we doing something awesome after the tournies (like going to La Banquise, going to strip club(like nerdjosh said a while ago), drinking in a bar, etc.) showing people we are the best at what we do (being hype, weeaboos, and partying like (insert hardcore word here) i think i didn't forget anything, but without clear inputs on everything i will just confuse everybody...

I saw copies of CS at gamebuzz in the peel shopping mall near where you head up to scotia bank. I'm pretty sure it was for xbox. Hope that answers everything.

Also, it comes with the OSTs, which I'd like, so I'm willing to pay for it Still though, we should borrow someone's copy for Sunday at least, so this is a quest to find a copy of BBCS. Or well, Eb will you be home on Sunday? I could just drop by your place on the way there and pick up your disk if you're willing to lend it to us. I'm gonna leave it at the HQ to motivate you to come @Brice : I already sent visitor messages to people from ottawa and halifax just to let them know we're doing something and LK is coming, and that we'll make a thread when we have details. 1-Eb specified a lot of stuff in the thread, but if people are coming from far we should probably do a bit more than only say, 7PM to midnight. I think we'll check with LK to see which day between Friday (which is off for everyone) and Saturday would be preferable for the event, but still open up the other day for casuals, MMs, hype, etc. Maybe even Thursday if we feel like it. I won't have any schoolwork to do so I'm up. Anyways, we'll decide for sure once we know if people are coming from far or not, just saying we're flexible. Also, it's going to be at MTLSFHQ. 2-5$ venue fee, BB price is being discussed lol, I say 5$ but idc. 3-BB, GG, MvC3, with a bit of mbaa,ah3,ssf4 on the side if people want to. 4-BB and maybe GG, price being discussed. I'm ready for AH3 casuals and maybe MMs, but I don't think we'll be enough for a tournament, you never know though. We could have some marvel going, but I don't want there to be too many people just for marvel so :S 5-LK, maybe people have heard of Vice Taicho and Nini Heart? Chances are the metro will be out of service at that time so we'll be dependent on cars, unless people want to do the 45 min walk. That said, I'm slightly opposing myself to going drinking somewhere, since we'll need some designated drivers and it'll be late anyways, and bars can't sell alcohol after 3 AM anyways or something like that. I mean, when we leave our weekly regular meetups it's usually past 12:30 so. We still have 5 weeks to discuss this, just remember, the HQ is not as downtown as foonzo, and WE won't have hotel rooms.

But in the meantime I'm ok with 10$ since we're skipping the March edition. Also, awesome that outside people are showing interest. Perhaps we should try to get a better venue than the HQ? It would do much to improve appearances. Foonzo worked for Nemesis. Why not try them again?

It's also better positioned if people wanna go party/strip clubs/massage parlours after the event. I don't really care about streaming, since the most important is being there and living the hype, so I wouldn't mind. In the end the community should decide where they want to hold the event.

pochp Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I think we should look into getting our own recording setup. This would be useful for MAT8 and following events so we might as well. I'll discuss this with Kaeru next meetup, but if anyone knows something about recording/streaming setups and stuff please let me know. I also think Foonzo is a possibility but first we should talk to them about it , even though they should be okay with it, and probably even happy. Venue fee might be higher, add that to the 10$ tournament fee that I'm okay with, and I hope people will show up anyways. I will disagree with Nini though about Foonzo being more accessible, though. Unless I want to park 15 minutes away, since there's a parking right next to the place, those coming by car are looking at additional costs here :S And yes, how else are the TVs going to get there. I don't know if they would let us reserve their head to head setups since those days are probably going to be good for business in general since it's Easter weekend, and MvC3&SSF4 are way more popular than BB over there. Foonzo has way more space than the HQ though, so if we do find a way to get everything to work and people show up, it would be preferable. tldr: let's go talk to the guys running foonzo, how about friday? I think at least me and Eb should be there.
