I feel like telling Cranky (unless eb or brice wants to) that we'll be minimum 20 but probably somewhere between the 30-40 range, if we manage to get some few strictly GG players, out of towners and some NAH to come. Just came back from my meeting at Le Palais de Congrais.. We need to forget about the rooftop idea its way too expensive because you need to rent the cafeteria to get access to the rooftop with the outside white castle and the terrasse itself.. BUT They found us a spot of 3000 Square Feet and this looks like its going to be it Now to fit this in my budget ... Anyone interested in sponsoring the event get in touch with me we will need help to get this venue !! Fits 309 people and we would get Free Internet (usually its 300$ per day) Also we need to figure out how many stations we will run on because this will play on the price because of how many power outlets are needed to be installed (yes its extra lol) So yeah anyone that wants to get involved in this new project get to me ASAP... Palais is looking forward to work with us for MAT and future events they even showed me a spot where its not available yet but would be sick for raves / tournaments its got the Montreal feel to it but because ventilation is not 100% up in there it can be used for future events.. So thats pretty much it ... If you guys can find a minimum of 160 people willing to drop 25$ venue fee ill book it this Friday.. I know we got 200 people walking in Foonzo for Nemesis 2 I dont see why we cant get that number for MAT this year .. I know 25$ is more than the usual 10$ or 15$ venue charge but you need to understand this time we putting on the big SHOW Remember this event is directly associated to EVO from the mtlsf thread on srk. oh and the mentioned rooftop is this : edit : MAT8 is June 4-5th and will have evo qualifier seeding shit stuff whatever for MvC3 and SSF4.
