Daisy-Fan Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 If only Guilty Gear was a good game, but it doesn't have the WiiFit Trainer so its shit. QFT
DerQ Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I need my dose of fabulous, ain't nothing gonna change that
samthegreat Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) And in CP she looks even more binary than before. Do you think she'd be worth anything if she couldn't do 2d j.a 50/50 mixups? Except she's not, it's the exact same shit as BBCS, except this time they were actually smart enough to make that shit UNIVERSAL. THERE IS A GOD. Doesn't help that her new special moves seem almost useless. A version is, B version is a very good move. BBCP Rachel is hype Also, I am not really looking forward to CP. It's going to be broken as hell and very frustrating. I can't wait for CP+extend gold edition, though ! Again I disagree, balance looks good enough. As someone who has pretty much watched all the vids I fail to see anything that makes the game look remotely 'broken as hell' (except Hakumen OD lol). Broken is BBCT and BBCS1. There ARE a few stupid things indeed but nothing to lose hype about. Hakumen's OD, since I already mentioned it, IS bullshit and probably my greatest complaint (it makes me go wtf everytime), but outside of this and damage with meter don't forget he is not as good a character as before. Overall EX Hakumen is probably just as scary. Then Tao's oki may seem problematic as well... There is no denying that she is strong but she is not broken. There is only one Tao in the top 20 and those who get to the top with her in CP are exceptional players that have been doing just as good in the other versions. Yes there are strong characters that seemed dominant at first but slowly the other characters are catching up just fine and I have been impressed at least once by every last one of them (except Izayoi, lack of good footage). Arakune seems balanced this time around, the character is actually interesting now. Then we have characters like Valk... He's still considered top tier in BBCP and yet I can assure you that he was more broken/retarded in all the previous versions, including EX. As for low tier characters they are thoroughly represented and are doing quite good in tournaments/ranbats. Everyone seems to at least have something going for them. In the end we have a game where every character is viable (except Izayoi lolol) (and even then I know absolutely nothing about her so I can't speak seriously) and I am impressed; I expected much, much worse from the first iteration. Heartless Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I might not touch CP at all outside of Foonzo myself. It's honestly never really completely delivered. If they'd kept the same speed + dmg output as the first game, then it might have been good... It's not Guilty Gear therefore it's shit. Also, I am not really looking forward to CP. It's going to be broken as hell and very frustrating. I can't wait for CP+extend gold edition, though ! I am not that hype for a lot of changes either, because I guess I've accepted the way things are in the current version. I've also expressed my dislikes with CP. R.I.P Blazblue Chrono Phantasma

What he said is that the importance of j.A instant overhead is even stronger on the character now (probably because of this buff). If you have a knockdown, j.A the musical on broadway, 50-50, Binary, 0 or 1. You can still go for everything else, but one of your best mixup is now universal. I've also expressed my dislikes with CP. R.I.P Blazblue Chrono Phantasma You know what, screw you guys, I'm leaving for some other place and taking Foonzo with me.

My intention was to basically have everyone ready for it to be terribly skewed and unbalanced. Last thing i want to hear about is people whining Tiers for a brand new game. I am also very hype for BBCP+extend gold edition 3D, complete with nendroid GeorgeXIII !

It was universal (on top of being more stupid) in CT, his favorite Rachel iteration, and even in CS1, so clearly that's not the issue here. Instant overhead has always been the core of her mixup, there is nothing to complain about here. If you don't like going for IOH don't play Rachel at all. As for her neutral game it is LESS linear than before since Lotus B gives her new interesting zoning options all of us can't wait to experiment with. Edited June 14, 2013 by samthegreat
Daisy-Fan Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 am not to judge the game, its not even released yet! But am very excited to play this BlazBlue because is it gonna be my second blazblue Game!
Bibiquadium Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 How did this thread became Dustloop in a nutshell?

Sophisticat Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 wat? Ah, whoops, I left out an important bit from my post. I meant to say that BB never really completely delivered (as much as that other fighter -- GG), when it could have been more. If it kept the most popular characteristics from CT, then it likely could have achieved wider success. As it is, it was mostly riding SFIV's hype coattails. These characteristics were CT's game speed, short combo length, and ease of access for a newbie. It's hard to accurately describe it, but CT's combo system felt like it had more freedom than its successors. Starting with CS1, there were more limitations on execution, such that it became a bit stricter or less free-form to use your character. The game was also slower, and combos took way too long. I know some (non-fighting gamer) guys who were put off by these and dropped BB on the dot. I may be wrong on that, but I certainly felt the difference using Jin. I'm saying all this as a player who has experienced GG. GG is quite simply a more fun game with more options and less limitations. I doubt CP's going to do anything to bring me over from GG at this point in time -- top tier Haku practical 10k unburstable OD combos or not.

Bibiquadium Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Why don't you guys stfu already and play whatever the fuck you want to play and stop bitching about the other games that you can't play and be happy. This thread is derailing so much over small details its insane it gringes me so much god damn. If you find this post too offensive then so be it and delete it idgaf. Ty.
Daisy-Fan Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 you are correct bibi. Anyway i will try to come during the meet up weekend.
Sophisticat Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 This post is bullshit. GG is good, BB is good, combos are combos, haters gonna hate. I'm not saying BB is bad! I've had loads of fun with the game, so don't get me wrong. And I'll leave it at that since it seems the topic overstayed its welcome.
DerQ Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) Ok, who wants to go to Gore on Canada day's weekend? On the 1st, the mountain where I worked celebrates the holiday with a show, animation and other stuff, it's completely free and I wouldn't mind to say hi to the gang there Also I'm thinking, unlimited tournament this sunday or the weekend LK is coming back (aka next one) Edited June 15, 2013 by DerQ
Daisy-Fan Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Wait what? who use unlimited character here? Edit: Also awesome to hear LK will come back to town in the next or other week.
samthegreat Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) I used to experiment with URagna and UHakumen but I forgot most of what I learned. It doesn't matter though, it'd be a joke tournament for fun lol Edited June 15, 2013 by samthegreat
Rhannmah Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 are you guys really taking the last two pages or so of posts seriously? this thread stopped being serious at It's not Guilty Gear therefore it's shit. There you go Kappa Granted, it may seem to reflect my personal opinion, but it's more along the lines of "I like guilty gear a lot more, but blazblue is still the next best thing". And i didn't want to go into details because it was just gonna be a "i like this better in guilty gear"fest.
GreeniX Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Alright. Let's do this. How the fuck do I Unlimited Noel? I THINK the answer is "Unlimited Noel is CS2 Noel", but I didn't play her before Extend sooooooo that doesn't mean much to me. Can I go for something else than a reset or metered combo on a standing hitconfirm? Please?
Chaoschao222 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 It's all CS1. Also U. Noel gets standing knockdown as well as... any meter she wants from... ... anything, really.
