East TN members should get in touch with me so I can carpool and reduce costs and make sure we get to events. Also at the moment I'm pretty sick so I couldn't make the meeting for New Years. I just wanna say I appreciate the welcome words and just help I've gotten from you guys and hope to spend more time and more games with all of you.

Slab is too much fun to just abandon the game just like that. @Milln- I'm sorry D: I tried to go, but people neglected to tell me they canceled the plans to go to Nashville until after Chandler left. I was stuck without a ride @Uri- Haven't forgotten about skullgirls, just been a bit distracted. I plan to put in a bit of time to relearn the game some, but it'll be a bit delayed. It's harder for me to get on the PS3 at home than at the dorm. @Music Posts- I know I'll click on those links eventually, I have them bookmarked. Will respond when I do, probably when everyone has forgotten they made them :P

Big shouts to everyone that came to the New Year's Party, it was lots of fun. Sadfaces and We Missed You! to the ones that couldn't come for the myriad of reasons. I said this earlier, but just in case no one heard me or skipped the post or something, there is a BIG (Tekken) TOURNAMENT on the 26th! This is our next tourney. Practice up in your games, learn your crap, learn your matchups, learn your games, get your experience. I am confident in our abilities to make a good showing. Let's get in there! Below is a map of the competition that has confirmed for Tekken. I'm sure that Tad has been doing what I asked of him and inviting Guilty Gear players. I've been inviting Persona players. This should be a great event for us to make a splash for Middle Tennessee Needs Gaming!

Speaking of which, Milln, Y U NO EVER DO BB AT TOURNIES!? I'd think about going to the Kunmite, but BB isn't there and I've got to save up for Winter Brawl. I'd come down for GG and P4U, but I'm not really feeling them right now since I'm training in BB in preparation for WB.

There's a Rocko's Modern Life scene where one of the Chameleon Brothers takes a deep breath and says "Becaaauuuuussssse" in funny voice, but I couldn't find it easily. Speaking of Winter Brawl, I might want to go to that, too. Ragnarok and Arson already invited me and if anyone else wants to go, that'd be hype, too. KOF is there and i'm eyeballin' it real hard. Woz, I need some help with I-No. I get the gist of her FRCs but I can't really apply them into combos yet. What videos have you been watching to understand her BnBs? Been watching a bit of Koichi so I might start downloading a bit of what he does for combos.

Volpe-de-Glacio Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Dunno why I was being so lame before. Gear is the fucking shit! Seeing Tad and Naimat's matches really inspired me to take it seriously. Glad I got to play you guys and get some experience with Johnny. I can't stop gushing now, I didn't know what I was missing until I tried him out in actual matches. I'm especially grateful to Klein for giving me pointers on my newb Johnny, and Naimat for taking time to show me some cool shit with him. Also to Papstr for being magnificently fraudulent (I'm sorry, Jackie, but I think Papstr has been the true Chandler from the shadows now), and Kain for coming at me with a variety of characters, as well as helping me get used to A.B.A. I'm starting to think Johnny's FD dash might be physically impossible on a pad, lol. Either way, I'm leaking hype everywhere now that I've actually got the drive to learn Gear. Can't wait to fight everyone again. Fuck it, I don't even care that Tad will touch me in places I didn't even know I had, I'm gonna fight him too. I'm glad people took the time to get some Street Fighter matches in with me. I guess I can see why it gets a little formulaic after awhile, but to me it's still pretty shiny and new. I had a lot of fun getting bodied, lol. Also had a really fun set with Kain's Kanae in Akatsuki Blitzkampf. Trying to get into your head was a real mental workout and Akatsuki is freakin' legit. Shoulda roped more people into some matches. I also want to give big ups to Milln for coming down to Star's to pick me up and for pretty much playing everything, as well as giving everybody Blazblue trading cards for Christmas. As for Winter Brawl and KiT, I don't think I can make it to either, but I'll be with y'all in spirit. Happy fuckin' New Year, guys.

Because it's really awkward, and one screw up can get you knocked down into your grave. And no problem Volpe, I want everyone to understand why they do what they do, not just like " JP players throw random coins, I should do it too." And I actually really enjoy SF, and always have. Just never got experience outside of Snipe, Ponder, and Tad. I'll play casuals any time, and we can do them on PSN so that's cool. Also, Boomcube, that was the funniest set I've had in Guilty Gear. That was too good.

Also, I hear ya on the movement thing. It's not too bad understanding that you have to be pretty much stationary mid-screen but we get to have a lot of fun in the corner. I fought a friend of mine earlier and I flew over his head by accident and he killed me with a Robo-Ky confirm. I sadfaced.

Seiki Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) Found this video that shows Hazama comboing after SMP:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaH9zBurFp8&t=12m48s Yeah the opponent may not have attempted to tech...but I doubt it since almost every hazama player ever drops a jayoku combo randomly no matter how many times they practice it so bullet was probably mashing tech hoping the hazama would drop it. If it is true then I guess Overdrive doesn't affect SMP, and maybe SMP isn't the same in this game as in other arcsys games. Or maybe supers have a different type of SMP?
