Mightfo Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 It did have corners but when certain moves were used it would cause the screen to scroll Tekken style, it was a bit odd but the series did still have a corner game. And I would be so frikkin happy if a EX character somehow showed up. I see. Yeah, me too. They DID say that there would be SF characters that weren't in SF4... i wouldnt say that they look like psp graphics, but certainly they are subpar compared to other games from this generation, the same goes for mvc3 imo Huh..I think MvC3's graphics are some of the most enjoyable 3d graphics.
Yoshara Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 (edited) I have to say, after playing and not liking any SF4 incarnation so far, I really like how this is shaping up so far. Also I like that 3 out of the 4 Tekken characters I wanted to see in this are in (Hwoarang, Bob, and Asuka, with Lars being the only one not in). EDIT: Is it wrong that I want Yun in this? the_d3v Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 EDIT: Is it wrong that I want Yun in this? No sure how they'd implement Yun and more importantly Genei-Jin in this. Seeing that it already has chains, I'm guessing what this would entail would be a removal of histun decay while he's in Genei.
Hecatom Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 (edited) its there hitstun scaling on sf4, or in this case sfxt? i was under the impression that it wasnt the case Edited June 15, 2011 by Hecatom
the_d3v Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 its there hitstun scaling on sf4, or in this case sfxt? i was under the impression that it wasnt the case Dunno, but there was mention of it being the possible reason you could only continue a combo via tag for so long.
Yoshara Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Dunno, but there was mention of it being the possible reason you could only continue a combo via tag for so long. That looks more along the lines of just being limited to a certain number of launches/tags in a combo, but I wouldn't doubt it if they did put hitstun scaling into this, because of the much more combo friendly nature.
Hecatom Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 yeah, it sounds more like the juggle limitatation that you found on battlefantasia http://www.dragoninstall.com/BatFan/tech.php (Juggle Rules Section) so i gonna asume that they have some kind of rules of what you can do before you cant juggle them any more
SolxBaiken Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 Oh yeah...this thread exist Well here's another teaser trailer just before Comic con http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JyCk5rdNdc&feature=player_embedded
the_d3v Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 (edited) Obvious Dhalsim is obvious (as if he wasn't obvious enough in the E3 trailer). That said, hoping for some full screen juggles and Tag Cancel action off that Yoga Flame. P.S. please let his Yoga spinning air dive kick headbutt things be overheads, for unblockable Tag Cancel shenanigans. EDIT: That looks more along the lines of just being limited to a certain number of launches/tags in a combo, but I wouldn't doubt it if they did put hitstun scaling into this, because of the much more combo friendly nature. Please no hitstun scaling. For once this generation Capcom, please let us break a game properly (not like the, "hey, we pre-broke it for you" approach to MvC). /prays for near V-ism/A-groove level shenanigans by the time the game is a year or two old. evilben Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 so the whole street fighter thing is a misnomer then? unless you count her appearance with hugo in sf3 as making her a street fighter character...
SoWL Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 And I am suddenly interested in this game. I wonder what does that make me? Wait, that's probably not because of Poison, but because I didn't watch any other trailer before. Yeah, now I'm looking forward to some Tekken characters with actual diverse playstyles.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Should've released Asuka and Lili already, but I'm cool with this.
bbq sauce Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Soo, the whole 'Poison is man' confusion, is Capcom still going by that?? The tna levels are pretty high to still claim she's a he.
Mightfo Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Oh man, nice. I really hope this game actually ends up good, has a real neutral game, mixup doesnt revolve around unblockables, etc..
SolxBaiken Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 so the whole street fighter thing is a misnomer then? Cole says hi. Soo, the whole 'Poison is man' confusion, is Capcom still going by that?? The tna levels are pretty high to still claim she's a he. There is no "confusion" Poison was and will always be a TRANSVESTITE! The "mix up" comes from her first appearance in Streets of Rage and Capcom USA deliberately changed her description stating her of female gender (cause come on, this shit wasn't gonna fly in America back then). Poison is the Bridget of Capcom but to the next extreme. Although it is obvious that even in her first appearance she had gone through the proper procedure to be labeled as a "woman" (although the status of her genitals are never made clear for those that care). So you can call her by either and still be "right". A~N~Y~W~A~Y~S~ Her inclusion is welcome if only for the fact she's the only NON SF4 character thus far and this is actually her first playable appearance. Although I'm not a Poison junkie myself an IMO her gameplay thus far is kinda "eh". But as usual Capcom is good at making shitty shit look appealing with their "hype" trailers. I'm still not buying this trash though. zzz Tag 2 and TxSF when?
A.B.A-can-do Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 This poison's second playable appearance. She was playable in Final Fight Revenge. Also Streets of Rage is made by Sega not Capcom silly SoBA. Poison was also slated to be a playable character in the cancelled Capcom all stars 3D fighting game a few years back.

They just went with the whole transvestite thing because they didn't think North American audiences would be cool with hitting women.. iirc.. then the Capcom USA removed Poison and Rozy entirely anyway for the NA release. I figure at this point in video gaming, beating women is acceptable enough that they can drop the tranny gimmick and let me fap with peace of mind.
Hawkingbird Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Crying Manly tears for Poison. Words cannot describe how happy I am right now. Instant main once this game drops. Capcom, I going to put money on the table and tell me when I can stop
Xechs Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 lol @ those people who thinks that Poison is a woman. Anyway, I'm glad that Steve is in
Urichinan Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 http://shoryuken.com/2011/07/21/hugo-joins-street-fighter-x-tekken-along-with-cody-and-guy/ Hugo, Cody and Guy confirmed.
