FormerlyUnknown Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 guess i never paid enough attention to those characters to notice =p kinda sad but i guess they're all flashy enough
Aureliano Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Sentinel, Hulk, Thor, Taskmaster, Spencer, technically Phoenix and I think Spiderman. And some of the new characters are in the same boat, like Nova and yes Frank. Really it's not that odd at this point.
FormerlyUnknown Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 well excuse me for not noticing >3< i'll just go lurk again then
shtkn Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 i suppose i might as well post this here: http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/shtkns-umvc3-sprites-ngpc-style-48-50-finished.146755/ just need some decent screenshots of the last 2 and i can finish it off
OrionXElite Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 yeah, Nemesis and his super armor will certainly be amazingly gdlk against all of their full-screen zoning Joe can't zone:v: Plus, Nemesis could charge through things like Rocket's Bazooka as his cr.H has Super Armor. Not to mention he has a near full screen answer to zoning with his command grab :3
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 storm has all lvl1's too, as does hsienko, joe, and probably some other chars I thought her DP+2 buttons super (one where she freezes you in an ice coffin and then... forgot lol) was lv.3
Linear04 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 no, level 1. you cant dhc level 3's, and the only reason anyone uses that super these days is to dhc glitch into a kill combo
OrionXElite Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 According to Seth Killian he should level up every time he takes a picture. Well if that were actually the case, then he would be leveling up everytime he takes a picture but he doesn't so theres SOME kind of prerequisite to accomplish before the level up can happen. I'd assume typical RPG style; the more you fight, the stronger you get. So in FG terms, more hits you land, stronger you'll become :3
Linear04 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 apparantly the juice makes it faster to level with pictures too, not sure if that's a great tradeoff since throwing up is basically moroha mode running out and frank is fucked by then lol
Aureliano Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Why would they make a 0 frame omnidirectional fullscreen instant special projectile that OGTs Edited November 1, 2011 by Aureliano
Aureliano Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Because that's an acceptable trait for a move to have if it's properly balanced with an adequate risk or price for going to it Which that camera projectile quite obviously doesn't have It looks fast like maybe in the 7-15 range, not sure, but 0...
MasterMind Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Man, I just realized I'm probably not going to be able to play Wright because I use pad. I'd have to change my whole button set up just to play him.
Nini Heart Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 zero players have been doing it for months.
OmniSScythe Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 ^ This Man, I just realized I'm probably not going to be able to play Wright because I use pad. I'd have to change my whole button set up just to play him. Just switch a useless trigger to a macro.
Vulcan422 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Perfect pad setup Face buttons: leave as is LT: Assist 1 RT: Assist 2 LB: Assist 1+2 (for easy Wesker OTG Phantom Dance combos lol) RB: L+H (for wavedashing and easier versions of certain supers like Taskmaster's diagonal Legion Arrow)
OrionXElite Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Well P.Wright needs to be able to hit L+S, M+S and H+S so a good pad setup would be something similar to a Zero Player's setup, use a trigger for the button you need the most. Keep your normal 4 button layout for LMHS, whatever you use for Assists is fine, then just one if those extra buttons you have left, make it into another S button. That way your combos can still function properly and you'll be able to easily scrounge up evidence using you LMH with the extra S button :3
MasterMind Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I didn't know Marvel let you have multiple buttons doing the same function. I assumed it didn't because BB doesn't.
OrionXElite Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I'm pretty sure you can. I know Zero players have L to a trigger for charging so I just assume they mapped L twice :P
PSOInvictus Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I had to do similar things when I played Soul Calibur on pad years ago, all just to hit A plus K with my tiny ass hands I had then. I am thinking the only thing that would be super uncomfortable is M+S, for me anyway.
MasterMind Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Just checked, you can totally have multiple buttons do the same thing. As long as I don't use Taskmaster or Zero, I'd have that extra button free if I choose to use Wright.
Linear04 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 http://shoryuken.com/2011/11/01/frank-throws-pies-in-umvc3-gameplay-clips/ very odd, in the first video when it turns to frank vs frank, one frank does like 4 camera shots that HIT in a row and he doesnt level up.... maybe the juice is severely needed to level up, which would explain why it has the terrible vomit effect on it i like how RR just randomly pops in the LOOK INTO MY EYES too, lol. graphical errors like that will probably be patched in by the time it gets released though
Linear04 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 hm, im watching the jp va 3rd video, and if im watching correctly, Frank did NOT drink any juice, but leveled up twice in just two photos through OTG photo combo ender maybe it has to do something to do with how you got points in the original game, where you get more PP from special event photos. in anycase, otg photo into super seems to be the normal bnb
