excelence Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Still on the topic of rising j.b IOH, i think it also works on Ragna... tried yesterday on desperation of getting a hit on him.
Yggjrasil Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I think it works on Bang too, but you can't follow-up and against Ragna...I wouldn't go for it...ID is annoying as hell to deal with.
Moy_X7 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Ok, training mode is fucking retarded when it comes to IOHs. If you try doing 5A > Rising j.B on Hakumen it won't work but if you record the 5A > Rising j.B string and you attempt to block it yourself with Hakumen, it will work. Reminds me of the time when I thought that 5B > Rising j.2C worked on Tager using Jin but if you record the string and you attempt to block it yourself as Tager, it won't work, and thus it won't work in an actual match lol.
excelence Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Against Inferno, i don't even care anymore and goes straight 50/50 on my mix up, do or bait ID. @Moy : Our hit box get bigger when we're on blocking state, maybe it won't work because u set the ai, on crouching neutral. Moy_X7 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I just tried it against both Ragna and Bang and no dice. I'm advance inputting the j.B so it can't really be an execution error.
Moy_X7 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 @Moy : Our hit box get bigger when we're on blocking state, maybe it won't work because u set the ai, on crouching neutral. "Our", you mean Plat's? I have the AI on "blocking everything" with "block switching" disabled. So I'm trying it off the 5A and 5C block-stun, which it does increase the hurt-box on certain characters but still no dice.
Yggjrasil Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) bah D: I thought we'd be on to something, BUT GOOD NEWS EVERYONE, The TRM setups. This only works if you have F.Pan and at least 2 or more uses on it. Basically you do 5A > 5C > > j.C > j.2C loop x 2 > then 5A > 5D > 5D > 5A > grab. The grab should be green but the last 5A has some really tight timing on it so you might have to practice it for a bit. This works greatly if your opponent has never seen this set-up before, if you go for it again, they can easily either mash DP or tech your grab, but thats ok, this is where the TRM/Throw Counter set-up comes in. If you go for it again you do 5A > 5C > j.C > j.2C loop x 2 > 5A > 5C > 5D > 5C > 5D > 5A > 5A > grab. By the time you do the second ending 5A they should be out of the hitstun from the pans and they'll probably be mashing tech (and will be in CH state) or something else which is why when you go for the grab it'll be purple with either TRM or Throw Counter. Yumekami does this and it's pretty dirty. You also get corner carry from this too. You can do a lot of things with this set-up too, like bait out DP mash and punish it with Fatal 6C, Dramatic Sammy if you want to refill your F.Pan for more dirty mix-up and whatnot. Use it wisely. Moy_X7 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 lol, I troll people with that using Jin's throw > RC > wait > throw = TRM. I'll give that a try sometime.
excelence Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I mean "our" in general of every character in this game have increased hurtbox on blocking state ... the first post where you said it won't work on Hakumen, but it will works if it's you who blocking as Hakumen is already weird. I think i should try it myself later.
suwave688 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Nice setup Justice, the TRM works amazingly well. It works wonders against mashers to shut their pressure down. Best use of F.pan so far it seems.
Yggjrasil Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I've listened to that video 4 times already today. My hips won't stop moving.

Chaoschao222 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Why the fuck do people think typing it out is the same as reciting it I WANNA HEAR A RECORDING URI, DON'T BE A FRAUD E. CHEESE. (though judging by the accents over those vowels, I think you just pasted it rather than even typed it out )

Moy_X7 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 The first 3 lines are too hard, the other 2 sets are bearable. I've almost memorized the last 3 lines lol. Also, damn you Cake for casting this curse on us

Also, damn you Cake for casting this curse on us Really the first set? I think those are pretty simple, it's Kuunerutokoro-ni Sumutokoro Yaburakouji-no Burakouji that causes me to dentally rape my tongue. Then again, if it can be said this slowly, not a problem.
floatwater Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Why the hell did I even end up here? The fact I sat here for 20 min. Watching the thing
Moy_X7 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Oh God, that guy pretty much ruined it for me. Never again, I'm done here.
