Removing the slide effect from the second 236B like that is retarded as hell. I seriously hope that doesn't make it to the final version. I sure as hell don't want to finish my corner combos with j.236XXX.

yeah, seems like they completely killed smp, instead of altering it (they flash blue and immediately tech on the second use of a repeat prorate move), hope i'm wrong. capcom balance? regardless, pretty stupid. between this, 6a's no longer floating, 6c having repeat prorate again (xie mentioned this, dunno if it's confirmed, and combined with the previous smp statement..) really don't know what to think yet, i'll wait until later loctests/better information before i /too/ bad.

from xie tweets. 22c repeat is sad but kinda expected, mami wallstick is interesting, magica ending in swallow moon? dunno if that's better than neutral or not (since if neutral you'd be able to cancel into swallow moon if you wanted, also you wouldn't have to wait until swallow moon recovery is over to press a button). unsure about pan/cat floating you higher. swallow moon flight mode?! hammer two stock, but damage is up.. dunno about that yet either. at least this is better than the last test!

lol, I wanna try IAD Swallow Moon > control it backwards for ambiguous and double cross-ups. I wonder if we can also cancel Swallow Moon into something else at a quicker rate.

asked a friend in japan to test happy magica and he just came through <3

Platinum:

Counter activates on mid and low attacks. On successful counter Platinum flies into the air and floats on her Swallow Moon bubble.

Swallow Moon can only be activated once in the air.

Dream Sally bubbles travel faster than in EX.

now all i need to know is it's frame 1 and we in there. (it probably won't be)

jBBS says that hammer now crushes guard right away. However, you can't follow it up even with 2A. It's like it's now intended to be used only for guard-crushing, not for combos.

This is one of the most dumbest fucking things they could have done to this character.

Well, it's always felt strange to me that the item that's supposed to be very good at guard-breaking was used for anything but that. It's the pan that's supposed to be her main combo item.

Plat looked alright in the newest loketest vids, and this is from people relatively new to the changes... but yeah, essentially killing hammer's comboability seems pretty silly.

But oh God, new Plat lines sound adorabletastic

I'm totally going to spam that counter for the hell of it, by the way. It's going to be my new taunt animation. I hope she's actually invuln for a bit off the teleport or something, or things like Inferno Divider would just blow her up instantly, lol.

I'm not reading through the whole thread to see what's new, and I didn't see anything on the CP changes thread, so here's what I got from the new videos:

5C > 6C combos, but it might be crouching only.

6B wallbounces in the corner.

5A > 5C > Mami > 6C > Swallow Moon > j.C > 6A > Mami did 2.8K.

CH 5D Bat causes a arial spinning state, rather than a large launch. Looks like you can follow it up with 6A > 6C stuff.

You can have two presents out at a time, she has a total of four. 214D puts out two at a time.

Her parry is active for a really long time. Her staff turns into a giant hand and starts motioning the opponent towards her.

j.D (Pan) > 5C still works fine.

Mami wallstick still lets you followup with the same combos.

5A > 5C > Mami > 6C > Swallow Moon > j.C > 6A > Mami was 2.8K, but they teched while Mami was hitting. It looked really unsafe.

I hope we can also control whether we want to teleport above and behind or above and front of the opponent. It'd be kinda pointless to use that move if you're just going to teleport in the same spot and right back into pressure :/

Edit: j.D Hammer doesn't seem to Guard Crush for whatever reason. Could it be that they meant that 5D can't be followed-up but maybe j.D can be? Seems like the only explanation for not being able to Guard Crush with j.D.

I created the BB:CP changes thread. I'll dig for more information and videos later on today.

@Uri: Ah, good to know that's still legit.

@Moy: Yeah, either a choice of where to go or some invuln or something. Interesting on the hammer, though. 5D basically only existed for guard crush to begin with, so it's actually nice if it just straight up guard crushes now, hah.

I wonder if Cross-up j.D > RC is still pretty good...

Didn't even have to RC it in CSEX half the time. xD
