skd Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Reading reviews out of curiosity: -People say the price/quality ratio feels pretty spot on. 144 lowest rate for the night of saturday (which is manageable, I'll call them and ask directly the price if I reserve ahead of time) -A few complaints left and right about how people like to party and you can hear stuff from the other rooms and bla blabla -Which leads me to my final point: There's a Karaoke!!!!!!!!!!! If you are on the first floors, you can hear the karaoke bar all night. #SendTSBToKaraoke #Onegai if you want to do karaoke we can go to st marks, which is probably where we would head to eat. seriously, take it from me, i dont recommend much in that part of brooklyn

But still, if the hotel is noisy... it shouldn't be a problem to have a few people playing games late night? RIIIIIIIGHT? (Apparently the rooms are fairly small though)

DerQ Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 If just sleeping there means I get to spend an extra evening out of town, I don't care much, it'll still be better than sleeping in the bus for 12 hours :D
DerQ Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Hotel booked on saturday evening. I'll be there for a full day instead of the initial ~8 hours
Elochai Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 anybody wanna play GG tomorrow? Can you not come Saturday?
SIne Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) only if i'm early from work crap cant:psyduck::8/: Edited March 30, 2013 by SIne
DerQ Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Alright, so I just called to see how the ticket procedure worked for buses in my area. I can only book tickets towards the NY area (island of Manhattan) and not Brooklyn directly. I also have much more flexibility in terms of schedules when going to this same area. I've checked a bit the bus schedules/directions on google to see how feasible this would be. My only question is... do you have any advice/recommendation/info that I should really know before considering this option. I want to go to NY over going straight to Brooklyn via Greyhound. Just juggling my options because I am really late on planning Other than that... could I have maybe someone's phone number just in case shit hits the fan or w/e. For the record, I'd arrive fairly early (for a saturday morning). In any case, here's mine 514-839-1834 just in case anyone wants to contact me before I reach Next Level let alone Brooklyn. Just don't abuse on phone calls while I'm in the states. I just don't want my phone bill increasing for a pointless reason. Thanks
Elochai Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 ^If you want to go to arrive in Manhattan rather than Brooklyn due to flexibility, what would be stopping you? Only issue I would think of is taking public transit to Next Level, but it's not that hard to figure out honestly. There're usually travel-savvy police in the train stations willing to help out. There's also other shit to do in Manhattan, more so than in Brooklyn I would argue, so if you're staying for an extended period, I suppose Manhattan is the better option (though it's a bit more costly). By the way, is there a Popeyes or something near NL? I don't wanna travel all the way to Atlantic Ave for some fried chicken. Help a brother out.
DerQ Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Snip I assume I can manage since I'll be at a bus terminal, there's gotta be plenty of ressources there -,- By the way, is there a Popeyes or something near NL? I don't wanna travel all the way to Atlantic Ave for some fried chicken. Help a brother out. Also interested in this, we don't have these up north and I've never went to any on any of my trips
ozzy830 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 GGs to everyone that I faced today at TSB. This was an awesome experience. I can actually block mix-ups on local games (Well except Aegis since its my first match against one) Wonder whens the next event, cause Im going!
Elochai Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Sooooooo, how about that fancy new Injustice game?
HARD_BREAD Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Anyone want to play this weekend? You couldn't possibly mean at Next Level.
DaiAndOh Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 You couldn't possibly mean at Next Level. My place I meant. This weekend I don't think I can do Saturday, but Friday and Sunday should be fine.
kirbster Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Hello! So I'm planning a little road trip to NYC from this Saturday April 13th to Tuesday April 16th, and I'd love to pass by Next Level Arcade at some point. Any chance I could meet some of you guys and get a few games in?
St1ckBuG Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 When are you getting into NY? We're going out for karaoke/drinks/food for my birthday Saturday in Manhattan.
TD Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Happy early bday stick bug. If you guys go to nl Sunday I will be available to come through.
kirbster Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 When are you getting into NY? We're going out for karaoke/drinks/food for my birthday Saturday in Manhattan. Hey man, I'm not sure I could make it Saturday night since I'll be checking in a bit late with my gf and she'd like a good rest after the trip, but I'll talk to her about it. If anything I'll pass by and pay you a beer if possible! Or maybe I'll even bring you some Unibroue... if I feel nice. But so far Sunday would be perfect I think.
