Well I made a geass pact with C.C. to be able to see the short future so that I can push the right button at the right time...

also I wear the lucky talisman medallion , luck +10

Jin mirrors are fun and saddening at the same time. I eat way too many 6B CH's trying to anticipate an incoming throw.

OS ABC is the way to go , my friend

That can be so difficult on pad unfortunately. I've just conditioned myself not to press buttons, and to react to a green throw within the last few frames of the window to tech. Obviously, this isn't 100%, but i do break a lot of throws though. Beats mashing throw and getting hit with a CH 6B into:

Burst bait, or 5K.

Is this safe even when they attempt to tick throw after 6B? I assume it's not when they pink throw.

It depends on the person. For me it's safe. You have to have mentally trained yourself to not hit throw. It's our first reaction to throw when we see players that close to you, so no one can blame people for falling for it. It's just an unconditional reaction to attempt to throw back. With a pink throw, you can just react to it as normal, the big window of the tech allows you to do so.

React to a throw, don't anticipate it...just like I block low and react to overheads. Never guess block or anticipate. Because of this, I can now block bang's overhead online :3

Talking about the OS? It's safe if they go for the throw immediately after recovering from 6B. You read the throw, and you input the throw OS. If they delay their throw, however, you'll get TRM'd (throw reject miss). If you think someone will do the OS, then do 6B > 66 2A > throw and you'll get a TRM purple.

The best thing you can do is just react to the throw, like Kid said. It's the safest thing to do but having said that, I still get tagged by throws every now and then, mostly because of input delay in lag. So I have to resort to the OS when I don't think netplay will let me tech on reaction.

Uh right, I'm shocked you haven't noticed that my reaction is fucking shit. I can't react to overheads nor can I react to throws unless I feel rea~lly good.

I see, thanks for the clarification Moy. Looks like the only way around it is to sharpen my reaction time.

i was the one who started that 6b fakeout in cs1. then everyone decided to fucking copy me!

time for you to do a training arc in the spirit and time room boy

You better run when I get out.

i don't know how many people use this gimmick, but you can RC B/C ice cars and 623D such that the animation for the slash happens, but not the actual hit. then use this time to throw them.

it's a silly gimmick, but i love it. timing on the ice car one is difficult though.

Sounds like fun lol

If only the 2nd hit of Ice Car was an overhead, it would make for an awesome feint into a low.

The only time i remember RCing the slash hit (But not the animation) of 623D was when a hakumen nearly astral'd me..fourtunately, the animation came out, but not as a hit. Never thought of using the animation to try to throw them though. sounds neat.

I guess that means i'd have to be relatively close to the opponent. The further away i am to the opponent, the further I have to run, thus the more obvious it becomes.

This gimmick would work as an interesting Yomi, if you know your opponent is going to sit there and block for a while.

I can't believe I'm about to say this... but meaty 6D beats Lambda's wakeup super. What the fuck?

Posted

Probably because he leans awkwardly forward, happened to me too. I dare to say 6C might work as well, I haven't test it though.

What, 6D, really, that's great. I'm also willing to bet that throwing an ice sword while right next to her will make it whiff too lol.

I'm pretty sure it's because of what eQualz said. That's actually why I tried it.

Also, sorry for not responding yesterday, eQualz. I was streaming, and then forgot about your message.

No sweat bro, lol. By the way I'm not the only one using this account, so if you ever see eQualzz play Fifa or other random shit it's not me.
