It's not that great of a combo, no offense, but 3C > 2D is a good auto-hitconfirm for people just starting out.

Air-dash combos tend to get you more corner carry for lower Ignis cost. Midscreen you won't be too concerned about doing max damage but rather pushing them to the corner without sacrificing too much Ignis gauge. But I think even this strategy will change (somewhat) with some match-ups. Probably characters with good neutral.

None taken, and I agree with you, but there will definitely be a moment or two where a max damage midscreen combo can score the round/match. Even if my on the spot combo isn't optimal, it's good to use any (high-ish damage midscreen) combo to go for that late match kill imo.

Hmm. Looking at 3C>2D as a combo part, I've noticed one thing:

Despite being more expensive, it allows you a much less spacing-specific IAD afterwards. While 3C>6D is very picky about spacing, 3C>2D doesn't give a single damn.

2D also prorates it down slightly lower. Nothing major in differences but if it's going to mean you landing the combo or not then do what's best for you.

You can don't have to do iad after the 6D though if you are close enough, but again that adds to the increase difficulty that combo has for real matches. The 2D is looking a lot more better as as universal standard.

On most characters, you don't even need to IAD at all after 3C -> 6D as long as you put a slight delay after the 3C. Well, I guess it also depends on the combo you're going for too.

Well, you /want/ the IAD because it sends your opponent further. It's a matter of corner carry.

Oh, I thought we were still talking about combos to end the round.

My bad. ;_;

Should've been clearer.

i just wanted to know if relius uses negative edge just like carl where holding D and press any directional input and then release makes the move come out faster

I just got a bunch of info from TORI about specific combos in different situations along with a few tips and tricks. Once I get it all compiled together and translated I'll post it for you guys. But for right now here's something that he told me about:

"少ない時は、~>3C>J5D>JA>微ダ2A*3>2B>5B>6C>ラントってやれば

嫁が全回復してるはずなので、頑張って誤魔化す!

再び立ち回りに戻すよりかは、流れを自分の物に出来て勝てるよ!

ただしテイガーには置き攻めあまりしないで良い。"

"When there's little [ignis Gauge], if you do ~> 3C > J5D > (short dash) 2A * 3 > 2B > 5B > 6C > Lanto,

the wife should recover completely and you can try your best to mix them up (deceive them)!

Rather than returning to neutral spacing again you can do you thing in the flow and win!

However, you shouldn't do okizeme much with Tager."

Also, after the JA the opponent can tech but they'll be forced to block. In essence, if you want to recharge Ignis while still being on the offensive, 2A * 3 > 2B > 5B > 6C takes enough time to allow her to regain a suitable amount of gauge to be thrown back out with Lanto. There's other stuff like:

"3C>6D>JC>J5D>低ダJB>JC~とか"

It's not all that strong against really aggressive opponents, but some people underestimate how fast J5D recovers and can get CH quite often. That's about it for right now.

I've been watching Japanese Relius videos but I'm wondering...how can he deal with pressure?

If you have meter either CA or 632146C. I don't recommend the later much since it can be beaten easy with a aerial attack. If you don't have meter and Ignis is out you can look for a opening (I normally look for their OH's) and 236A>6D. If Ignis isnt out you can risk a well timed 236A>5A and pray their recovery time is long enough or you don't get punished. Course you can just do the old fashion way of waiting till you see something you can beat with 2A/5A. If a character goes to a aerial attack in their pressure you could go for a CH 2C>214C. Course this is just from my own experience with him thus far and bound to be better ways.

Okay, that sounds good enough. I'm looking to learn him soon once I finish with Mu.

how viable is using 6c in blockstrings without ignis summoned? I kno it wont beat out shoto's, but how bout mashers?, i either tend to do 5b ignis summon (214 whichever) or 5b - 3c jc into ignis,

Without Ignis, it's pretty bad. Literally gatlings into nothing on block, and I'm pretty sure it's really unsafe. Does nothing to help you keep pressure, etc.

well after many games of practise, i have tried that unblockable setup that was mentioned n it seems to be working really well, the timing on the 214A seems a little tricky at times tho.
