YukiBlue Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Mu General goes silent for days and all of a sudden pages of technical talk I can't understand. The place dies without me. Dark Souls captured me for a few days but I escaped.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Welp, I just moved hundreds of pounds of broken trees out of my own and my relatives yards, and my arms feel like death. Wood is fucking heavy.
YukiBlue Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I feel your rage Nemesis, I fought a Mu on XBL who was horribly bad. Usually I don't care, Varying skills levels and such, I back out if the guy is bad. I don't get joy from winning against people that can't hold their own. But this guy kept chatting shit in the room. Calling Tager stupid and saying his Magnetism was broken. AC > AC WHIFF > 6B > 2C > AC > 6C > 5D > Repeat He kept teching and teching AGH. That matchup is usually so easy for Mu when the fundamentals are nailed down but that just made me mad
Nemesis Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Org >_< only the noobiest of noobs loudly complain that tager is broken but man I get ppl getting salty over all kinds of crap these days. Im actually running into alot of rage quitters recently -- they talk shit and tell me i play like crap then when i kick their ass they dashboard at the end of the match --sigh
pochp Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 If your opponent is jumping out of 6c oki you need to force them to sit down, 6c 6d 236d will catch jumpers, as will 6c 5d :IAD meaty j.b safejump. I still use 6C 5D 6[D] 5C ]6D[ 236D to get my opponent to stop jumping out, is there anything better for a situation where you're doing 5C 6C (when 6A 6C is not possible)? Also, didn't know 6C 5D IAD j.B was a safejump, I will begin using this, thanks! Tager makes me salty. I keep him out the whole game, get a giant life lead, and then make an execution error or get read, get punished, guess wrong 2 or 3 times, and die. Sadface. Although I find it hard to play that matchup sometimes because I just start feeling sorry for the Tager player.
C0R Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 I still use 6C 5D 6[D] 5C ]6D[ 236D to get my opponent to stop jumping out, is there anything better for a situation where you're doing 5C 6C (when 6A 6C is not possible)? Also, didn't know 6C 5D IAD j.B was a safejump, I will begin using this, thanks! Always try to go for 5c 6c, unless you know it won't combo due to high prorate, it does more damage. IAD j.b safejump requires a peculiar timing, you have to IAD rather late following a late stein cancel. Just know that IAD j.b will actually combo on the larger characters, and delay to make it hit after their tech, should work out fine. If you're really worried about your opponent jumping out of 6c enders, do a really basic 6c > 5d > recover > dash meaty 2b to catch them out of jump startup. Alternatively, airthrow them when they become airborne. If they tech it, stein covers you, if they don't stein lets you combo off the airthrow. Although I find it hard to play that matchup sometimes because I just start feeling sorry for the Tager player. I used to feel sad, then I lost to Tager at Evo. Now I laugh maniacally at the abuse. Try to avoid making guesses, keep in mind there are too many situations where you can substitute guessing for something completely counterless, such as running beneath him instead of trying to yomi j.b/j.2c.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) It's fun doing [6D>214D]xN against Tagers and watching them fumble around the explosions. Also, happy 20th anniversary of Magic Johnson's announcement that he was retiring from the NBA! No, wait, I mean happy birthday to me~ I am now of legal age to have sex in Connecticut, bitchin' Edited November 7, 2011 by Lord Pwnge18

C0R Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 Lolol, this is a more recent match video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szrR_CDxlIE
Nemesis Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I am impressed - fabulous mobility and aggression exactly the kind of playstyle I work on myself. It's really quite nice to see other mu players like this
Lythium Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Awesome Mu, C0R! Pretty good commentary too. :3c Hey, Aginor, how come we never see your Mu?
cookiehours Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Lolol, this is a more recent match video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szrR_CDxlIE I worship this video. Cookie wants her Mu to play like that and not get mauled a million times. But she must endure losses before she starts raping.
YukiBlue Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The Mu community is made up of the borderline insane / Schizophrenic people I swear. ME INCLUDED.

Nemesis Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 *head spins around* Wheeeeee Lollololol, kidding. xDDD Oh cookie your bein so cute and yes requirement for playing mu is a varying degree of madness
Aginor Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Awesome Mu, C0R! Pretty good commentary too. :3c Hey, Aginor, how come we never see your Mu? I always have bad luck in cs2 tourneys. There is always something that goes wrong in my personal life that affects me. First one, I felt sick and horrible. Second one, I lost my house and car keys. Didn't notice till midway into my first game and I paniced. Third, (which was yesterday) I had to run brackets for bb and participated in like 3 other tournaments and I kept holding up brackets and there was a lot of drama that went on. I got mashed out lols. That was for getting on stream during tournament time. Lastly, I don't have streaming equipment. If you want to know how I play besides me telling you, ask c0r. We've played before.
Aile Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szrR_CDxlIE d-dat Mu * q* makes me realize how stiff my mu is lol
C0R Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 A lot of Mu players are really stiff, H.H being a prime example. PNW scene in general keeps a more fluid and movement-oriented playstyle, works out well enough.
xntrikcat Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Sakuma has the best movement imo. I don't think H.H is sluggish either though.
cookiehours Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Sakuma has the best movement imo. I don't think H.H is sluggish either though. I think H.H is really solid in the combos department. Sakuma is awesome too. Oh, c0r, I stole stuff from your combo video. I didn't think I could do them until I tried. I was very scared by how much damage Mu can do.

Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 ... With a talisman in his left, a cross in his right, and a terrible look in his eye, he commanded at the looming, desolate wasteland with a fearful voice, "Repent, Mu General, and awaken! Beseech unto thee that doth not know of thine power and will!" he yelled, his face and chest bloodied by the sheer strength of his voice. He knew not of the time for which he commanded, as he did not give its' pence; he screamed for what seemed to be a century, yet in reality, was but a mere score. Alas, his mad beckons rendered his eyes blind, for the immense light emanating from is soul by the power of his will had been too much. Unable to feel pity for himself, he fell to his knees - a cold, shivering pile of what used to be the most divine of graces - and vanished from the memory of the victor; the Mu General. His death was not in vain, however, as a glint of his will still sparked in the distance. Now, some say that this spark was nothing more than a misguided declaration of socialism in a barren environment - a call for peace in time of anarchy. But others now worship this light as the sun itself, praying and offering to it, that the Mu General may still, rise once again.
