SolarMisae Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Wut. That combo video was outdated when I uploaded it. Wait till I release my Sayonara CS2 CMV. OMG C0R LIKE I'M UR BIGGEST FAN. Teach me how to Mu like DA GAWDS.
pochp Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Hm I was looking at some CSE videos and saw this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MB2s6Ulz6l0#t=3m45s does this mean they changed some property on 6B or 5C? (6B(2) standing CH 5C), or does this work currently? math tells me 6B's 20f hitstun, 18f recovery, no gatling, and 12f startup on 5C mean that even with the counterhit level 4 for +5f and crouching +2f, we get 9f to do something, which is 3f short of being able to combo a 5C, unless I missed something. But hey just doing this told me I don't need my opponent to be crouching to get 6B CH 2A to combo

YukiBlue Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I was just thinking. When CSE comes out, should we all pitch in and create a definite Mu Guide? I know it might sound far fetched but if we all contributed and made it into some PDF download it would help a lot of people out. Introductions Combos Tech Traps Drive Utilization Moveset Y'feel me?
C0R Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 I'm actually in the middle of making one, but they'd be videos.
YukiBlue Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 We could do both couldn't we? Why...With your Video mastery and my...Me...We could do both!
C0R Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 Aginor usually heads up the written guides you'll find around on the boards, but he hasn't had a reason to be around lately I suppose. There can always be more comprehensive information, so I don't see a reason to not redesign the written guides to something a bit more detailed.
Aginor Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 More like updating them. I've been here. :p I just lurk a lot. Not as much posting.
Nemesis Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 (edited) I've been trying to organize my best understood stein placement methods recently. Some structures are very effective against certain characters or playstyles But it's all very dependent on the ability to read your opponent. A miss read can lead to getting pummeled, proper reads or universal stein structures can often leave them pinned or worse Edited November 9, 2011 by Nemesis
cookiehours Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I've been trying to organize my best understood stein placement methods recently. Some structures are very effective against certain characters or playstyles But it's all very dependent on the ability to read your opponent. A miss read can lead to getting pummeled, proper reads or universal stein structures can often leave them pinned or worse I'm getting better with stein placements and explosions quickly. The more I learn, the more I'm gonna do well. Hopefully I start posting new videos where I'm not flapping like a chicken. I still cringe at the Jin matches I showed you guys. ._.;
YukiBlue Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Steins either work amazingly well, Or just laugh at you. I ONLY use Steins on Oki, or when my opponent simply cannot punish me for them. Much less frustrating.
cookiehours Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Steins either work amazingly well, Or just laugh at you. I ONLY use Steins on Oki, or when my opponent simply cannot punish me for them. Much less frustrating. Yea, that's very true.
pochp Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 It depends on the matchup, but you're generally safe setting out steins if you have a well placed 236A to stop your opponent from doing something about it. Cancelling into IAD back is generally a good idea as well. Also, cancelling into steins from blocked 6C is good. For example, if you're 3/4 screen away from your opponent, you could do 5Dxx236A 6Dxx236D. (not 100% safe) Look at ogarabu for reference, he does it a lot : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UQngUyEanE
YukiBlue Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 If I land a Blocked 5C I always go into 6C > 236A / 4IAD Strats man. Strats.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I often have to wonder whose side my steins are on, making me drop my combos, and even worse, my astral combos ;-;
bakahyl Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 If they make you drop your combos , that means that you are setting up your steins wrongly or that you are just setting up your steins randomly.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Hey, hush, you, it's not always my fault ;~; Say i did a stein ender after some midscreen pressure, then IAD j.5b them and hit with it, the stein i just set has a possibility of fucking something up. Or something like that.
Lord Pwnge18 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to mention I'm shit at this game.
C0R Posted November 9, 2011 Author Posted November 9, 2011 Hey, hush, you, it's not always my fault ;~; Say i did a stein ender after some midscreen pressure, then IAD j.5b them and hit with it, the stein i just set has a possibility of fucking something up. That's because you tried to do something that doesn't work. You could try doing something that only works BECAUSE you have a stein there, like 3c j.2c link midscreen non ch.
YukiBlue Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Stop being bitchy Mu Boards . Lord Pwnage put me on my ass multiple times. guy is no fraud, Give him his due. I AM THE ONE who is shit at this game. I've never clicked with CS2. 4K+ Games and I still suck. I play the entire cast to a Netplay level but none to a good level. Muchos sad. + also C0R, What do you think Mu's most useful buff in CSE is? What shall we look forward to most?
C0R Posted November 9, 2011 Author Posted November 9, 2011 + also C0R, What do you think Mu's most useful buff in CSE is? What shall we look forward to most? Air DP Maybe the Air Dp And the air dp Don't forget about the air Dp Did I mention her dp does a lot of damage now? And that she can do it in the air?
YukiBlue Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Well, I can now Copycat Ragna's BNB from 6A on any 6A/2C AA Now. That would be mad hype Air DP'ing as an Air Ender. Personally. Me gusta le 2B Buff. Tiny cool buffs.
LuminAbyss Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Carnage Scissors still the best you ever had.
