Nemesis Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Well I hope you and Lumin are okay. fucking gold LOL Edited December 29, 2011 by Nemesis
LuminAbyss Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Okay, I have a serious question about Mu right now. I heard her 2C was nerfed, but how exactly? Hitbox change, or speed?
C0R Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Okay, I have a serious question about Mu right now. I heard her 2C was nerfed, but how exactly? Hitbox change, or speed? Less head invunerability Extends her hitbox further, earlier
Lythium Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Can't you also not jump cancel it on block anymore? Or did they keep that change? I can't remember off the top of my head at the moment.
C0R Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Oh yeah, that too. Less noticeable, with 3c being so go-to.
ThunderboltZ28 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 You can't jump cancel on block with 2C anymore? I better get used to using 3C more.
Nemesis Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 just watched the new sherlock holmes move ... it rocked and bleh 2C i barely used it anyway as antiair
LuminAbyss Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 It's a stupid good anti-air, I'm kinda glad they nerfed it honestly.
Nemesis Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 right before I forget -- C0r I need a link to the mu-wiki -- Im afraid im too :_______________ to find it on my own 1. Retarded 2. Lazy 3. Inept 4. Homoerotic

Nemesis Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 thank you - and bookmarked - did you say you wanted help with this?
ThunderboltZ28 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 just watched the new sherlock holmes move ... it rocked and bleh 2C i barely used it anyway as antiair I thought it was an okay movie. A step down from the first for sure. However, I enjoyed it a lot. It was a fun movie despite its flaws.
pochp Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Kind of late on the videos, but man dat fuzzy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-kWtO9Vc1k#t=10m58s telling myself "why couldn't I think of something so simple......", time to level up my mixup. Also, C0R, what are you working on with your HDPVR, the general tutorial video? Asking because I was thinking about doing a really long video with almost every scenario I can think of (all starters, crouching/standing, 0/50/100 meter, normal/CH, different distances from the corner, character specific stuff) for practical combos (not combovid material). I wouldn't want to overlap with what you're doing if that's what you had in mind, or if you had the intention of doing something like this eventually.
C0R Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 The tutorial video was going to have 3 sections Basics, Combos, and Advanced Mechanics, the combos section would cover everything we'd need.
Aginor Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 They got rid of the super magical guard break setup that you used to be able to do in cs2. :< Dat 3c 214d meaty throw. Fixed it so even when the 214d breaks the primer and you throw for the combo. The next hit won't guard break the opponent. oh well....but 214d meaty grab still works but you don't get much off of it at least from what I've tried so far.
Nemesis Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Why am I seeing so much 2c group pick ups instead of 2b or 3c ? Also I'm intrigued this is possible
cookiehours Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I'm an idiot. I didn't know you can charge steins. I feel too auto-piloty with Mu. Getting blown up for trying to learn someone outside of Lambda, Lambda every day. Don't know all the matchups. Sorta got the Tager matchup down. -sigh- Someone hug me. ._.
Nemesis Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Yikes... Really? Well here *huggle* mu is much harder than lambda. Try to keep that in mind, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it as long as you drop your sub for awhile and rly focus your efforts. There's still so much I can't even do well I feel and everyone I fight often say I'm the best mu on XBL they've ever seen. Then feelin all good bout myself I go get blown up by LK or someone A lot of mu gameplay exp is perseverance through getting your ass kicked. Trust when I say I've had more of the kicking than dealing it out - or so those earlier days feel Force yourself to focus on a particular combo-type and attribute and after awhile you'll find yourself to a DP king cause you kept that idea in your mind so much - or combo etc I'm a woman, what do you expect? :P But yeah, I need to relax and play naturally. I think that's what's screwing me over. The fact your a girl makes no difference and doesn't make you more prone to frustration than that of myself - so get that idea outta your head You gotta keep a cool head - ESPECIALLY when your dying for " that win" trust me on this. From extensive personal exp Ive learned that if I even use just alil brain power to say "WTF was THAT?!" it might cost me the match. You cannot let the grip of frustration get on you otherwise you've likely already lost. Don't even say a word just pour your focus BACK in and redouble your efforts with : if I calm down I still got this guy Edited December 29, 2011 by Nemesis
KirbyMorph Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) www.dustloop.com/wiki http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mu_(BBCS2) Just reading the mu page and 2c says "Ragna's only fatal-counter attack, ". the entire description of 2c sounds like its copy and pasted from ragna. even the image of mu doing 2c says ragna. edit: oh and this isnt a complaint/bitching. just dont know how to edit the wiki/dont want to mess it up. xntrikcat Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Yeah Cookie, don't get frustrated. That's the #1 hindrance to improving. I do think I've stepped up my level of play since CS1, and that was after playing Tempest Dahlia for so many matches and just losing match after match, not even coming close to beating him. (I still don't, but I put up a fight at least) And it's really all about NOT AUTOPILOTING. Reacting to everything, even when you just dash up and 5c or whatnot. That decision to do it needs to be natural, but logical at all times. (You need to be anticipating, always) It's not difficult to break autopiloting. You just have to remind yourself every round. >.<

Don't even say a word just pour your focus BACK in and redouble your efforts with : if I calm down I still got this guy Yeah, you're right. I remember some time ago I was getting frustrated with a particular Hakumen until I calmed down and realized that the key to beating him was to patiently wait him out. Then I ended up winning like 10 matches after that. I'm not giving up and I dropped everyone else for now until I get Mu down. Yeah Cookie, don't get frustrated. That's the #1 hindrance to improving. I had a 'wtf happened' and 'why didn't I block that overhead moment'. Edited December 29, 2011 by cookiehours
Nemesis Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Im serious when I say that you should focus heavily on a particular aspect of mu. SoD, Origins, Neutral-DDing, cross-unders, w/e. Give it a 2-3 week period at least of emphasis. Not to say dont work on anything else but give it a devoted presence of mind. Before you know it youll be DP'in overheads and fataling people with ridiculous ease
Lord Pwnge18 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 What on Earth happened in here? An amazing thing, now excuse me while I go hate myself for missing this. ...dammit, no, this can't stand. Lumin! We need to get someone else hitched. Perhaps with Lunar, so she and Solar can do wifey things together. It would be a win-win.
pochp Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 The tutorial video was going to have 3 sections Basics, Combos, and Advanced Mechanics, the combos section would cover everything we'd need. Oh I mean that what I'm thinking of doing is far from necessary, just something else to have, and a visual reference for those who need it somehow. Also, can I get an account or something on the wiki? I don't seem to be able to edit anything.
