Adam0812 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 so i just tried using some gold bursts. 22D > 5D > GB > 3CC RC > GB > 6CC > 623C > J236Aw > J214D > JD > JC > 5C > 2CC > 214D > 5CwC > 2C > JC > JCC > J236A > J214D > 6C > 236236C nets 6.7k. you can switch the gold bursts about a bit and do 2xGB after 22D or 3CC but since im going for style i think its cooler to do then before and after 3CC. and i guess the combo above is not the most impratical, just need to score it in and ranked match and i'll finally have something worth uploading on my account. if anyone else has got some GB combos to share, id like to hear. we can continue this in the general or combo threads to avoid clogging this

Anyway, Gold bursts apparently don't technically have "Bonus proration" - which is actually GOOD in this case, because bonus proration from the same move doesn't stack. (i.e. if you did something like 3CC>RC>3CC, you'll only actually get the bonus proration from 3CC once) But Gold bursts DO have a P2 of 110, which means that they do raise the damage of subsequent hits in the combo by....10%. It's not super awesome, but using two of them adds up, and it allows your combo to go on longer as well, since you get less hitstun/untechable time decay. So you're probably looking at about 20% extra damage per burst, maximum. (assuming you can make your combo go on 10% longer as well.) So double goldburst could maybe get you nearly 40% more damage, but in practice, 30% is probably closer to the mark, and even that assumes that you can draw out the combo. That said, that double gold burst combo was totally worth it.
