[SpA]Relentless Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 No idea for both of your questions (maybe 6B didn't wallbounce cause Jin had forward momentum from running? No clue tbh) but I have had blue beat TD happen to me before. Rachel (Kinoko) vs Hazama (Buppa) www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhOnjMiZf8c#t=1m30s ^I've heard people say Hazama's chain attacks have gotten better but have a look at 5:40 to see where we can stick in Cat Punch now :> And seriously how the fuck did he drop that last combo. Or rather, in which way did he =.=

[SpA]Relentless Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 too many hits in the combo, that super scales hit detoration a shit load. No, he meant the big pumpkin from TD (9th hit in the video). A super on its own should be all red but TD for some reason sometimes just isn't...
Tari Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Pretty interesting. I actually sort of like that, because it does a bit of damage and then gives you pressure again, as opposed to forcing you to end with, say, a shitty two-hit air combo. The only real problem with it is that that gap allows people to use projectile invuln moves and hit you.
[SpA]Relentless Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Umm, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Whenever random TD hits my opponent, I always just dash up, set a frog/pumpkin, and let them tech without adding hits, so nothing new here. What do you mean?
gli Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 TD resets itself? Yeah that's weird lol. Not sure if that was intentional.
kirbster Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 wtf is with 6B at 2:40? where is wallbounce? :O That's really weird... maybe it doesn't wallbounce airborne opponents (even though Jin didn't look like he was in the air, maybe he got hit right out of jump startup, or his own 6b startup). That's my best guess. About the TD tech... but yeah, there's no good reason to try to combo after like Spa said, unless you're gonna kill them.
Sakaku Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15927592 6:27 Rachel (Kinoko) vs Valkenhayn
kodimt Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) After the huge pumpkin in TD, you have enough time to connect a 3C. It works with a full winded TD too, if you use 2D. Edit : Oh nevermind, probably some type or Tsubaki wizardry. Edited October 19, 2011 by kodimt
Sakaku Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 The problem is that TD hit the opponent on its own, there weren't any additional hits from Rachel before TD came out. Are there any other footages of lvl 4 TD so far?

KoopaDoopa Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Potentially awesome combo part. so^hei drops the ender but I think it goes: 6A>5B>sjc>j.C>2D>djc9>delay j.2C>Air frog>2D>5B relaunch>j.B>j.C>ender. I'm looking forward to more variations of this! It's like CT all over again except slightly harder combos. (Pumpkin + frog after every single combo) Edited October 21, 2011 by KoopaDoopa

(Pumpkin + frog after every single combo) Yup, probably wanted to end with j.2C > air pumpkin. I've seen another variation, 6A > 5B > j.C > 2D > dj.2C(Lv2) > air pumpkin > 5B > sj.BC > dj.2C > air frog (wind down pumpkin for safety if opponent emergency techs). This one costs one less wind though. Really looking forward to all these new j.2C combos. Pumpkin + frog oki anywhere from 6A AA? Heck yes!

Worth pointing out that, depending on j.2C contact height, the combo may involve landing for the pumpkin summon instead doing aerial summon. I think I've mentioned this before, but the mid-combo pumpkin into frog combo already exists, but is only very occasionally used against characters who don't have reversals (due to grounded frog summon being unsafe).
