I got her yesterday too. Had to wait over 2 weeks for play-asia to send me that stupid code.

Using Type B obviously. The only thing I dislike "countaaaaaaaaaaaah".

Anyways, Noel doesn't feel like she's that bad, lol.

Bored with numbers (leading number is the match-up totals from that list).

So grouping based on the ranges we get maybe...

S (50 -> 75): Ragna, Valkenhayn, Hakumen

A+ (35 -> 40): Mu-12, Carl, Taokaka

A- (5 -> 15): Hazama, Rachel, Bang, Lambda

B+ (-10 -> -5): Jin, Litchi, Relius

B- (-40 -> -20): Platinum, Arakune, Tsubaki, Tager

C (-110 -> -75): Noel, Makoto

Where did you get that MU list from?

i tired a bit from countaaaaah in training, but everything else is great. And you could have ordered digatal code from play-asia or japan-codes(i've got code from them in 1 hour today and it have better price than play-asia).

That's the point. I had to wait 2 weeks for a digital code. But japan-codes is actually reliable? Cool, I never wanted to order from them.

wow, 2 weeks for digital code a bit too long :O

don't know much about japan-codes, but at least it worked fine for me. Ordered code for xbl, may be for psn you have to wait like in your case, but i don't think so)

btw anyone knows when Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend Complete Guide will be available on play-asia?

that matchup chart is dumb...rachel vs lambda for example...not 45 - 55

rachel vs. tager is 55 - 45...come on....and the rachel vs. arakune is 60 - 40? but not rachel vs. tager? come on......

ragna doesn't have 0 matchups not in his favor

...i could go on....

the only accurate thing about this chart is who has an advantage...it isn't accurate on how much of an advantage....

Things can change dave.

It's not like we can say anything with enough confidence since we don't have their arcade environment / player base / overall skill level to argue with whatever results come out.

KOOPADOOPA why can't I beat you (or anyone) in mirrors :arg:

j.A > j.[C] mix-up is slowly being on my auto-pilot.

Too bad I always give the opponent too much credit thinking they'll neutral tech and block. I need to remember to punish on a lower level first which is late-tech / forward rolls.

But what... 6 different recordings in EXTEND? That sounds way too good. Easier to level up now :3

Neutral tech + wind + backdash -> throw is so effective... But once people get used to it it's useless haha.

In regards to mirrors, they're like a dice-roll to me honestly. Just random derp everywhere xD

Yeah, that used to get me when I played Rachels, except they neutral tech + wind and then throw because 236D~C is such a natural response for me. Though that was the past me. The Lambda from one month ago and boy did she suck. Now I just, you know, 3C or something. They actually don't do it that often against me anymore. Pretty cool to note that some Rachels don't know that Lambda's swords can pick them up off the ground. For a loli, Rachel sure does let herself go :)

why isn't rachel-labmda 4.5-5.5?

and rachel-arakune much better for rachel than rachel-tager, chair is dead and tager got shitloads of buffs. Even in cs2 i think rachel-arakune was better than rachel-tager.

ragna is just ragna. Why do you think everyone playing ragna?)

rachel vs tager is just sad in cs2. not having jump-cancellable fork makes it "somewhat" more bearable for tager in extend, but there's still nothing tager can do besides take low-percentage guesses or lose to time-out. i can say with confidence that playing with copperdabbit, balonios, and mike z, that the matchup for arakune compared to tager is at least winnable....

lambda can lock rachel down and rachel has to make a guess on how to approach. winded ground or air dashing is a guess against lambda. trying to work your way in is near impossible against people like severin who know what they're doing. i'm saying that if you put an equal high level lambda and rachel together, rachel will not win nearly half the time. it's a large advantage for the lambda player...come on, at least 4-6

finally, i know ragna is better, but he didn't get THAT many buffs that he's even with rachel. she can still zone the crap out of him, and all he can do is hope rachel makes a zoning error, not unlike lambda v rachel.

then again, maybe you know something about lambda v rachel that i don't. you can't summon safely on ground or in air, even if you're above lambda, and once you're in neutral game, you're screwed. and if lambda gets you in the corner, you're actually even more screwed bc lambda's mixup actually isn't that bad if you have nowhere to run

ps. this may not be accurate, but against rachels that like to winded tech i mash 2a

I might be biased cuz I regularly play against who I think is the best Tager in North America right now (Brice, he took out Xie and Omni at NEC), but for me the Rachel-Tager matchup is about 6-4 in CS2. A magnetized Rachel can't run away for free without risks even with wind, unlike Hazama, Litchi and Valk who can pretty much still do whatever the fuck they want.

In EX she still has the advantage, but make one fucking mistake and you're dead. Basically you gotta play flawlessly against Tager to win... not that easy.

Posted

Yeah. It all comes down to less chances in EX. But game plan should still be the same. Get life lead, run away, don't give him any chance to do any damage. The closer you are to him, the more damage he can do.

Posted (edited)

by the time tager gets a spark bolt i almost always have 50 heat to burn on tempest dahlia if i need. and if he's using it quickly after he gets it, he'll probably miss.

running away is your primary option, but you need to get that life lead first, which gets you the 50 heat i mentioned lol.

at full screen, when your magnetized, tager also has no good way to get you close. 6a is free to winded 3c, grab, or winded jump. tager in the air is hilarious (6a, jump up and grab, lobelia and run away are all pretty much completely safe). if tager's using 5d/4d, you can use projectiles at full screen and a counter hit will get you a combo long enough to end the magnetism. and if you're feeling scared, there's always winded backdash, and you have to tell me what tager can do against winded backdash bc i thought that was safe.

edit: brice....is that coopa?

Not Coopa, he's an MTL player.

And it's not that simple honestly. Full screen magnetized is easy to deal with since you can bring out a pumpkin and react to litterally anything he does. But a good Tager who knows the matchup won't just spark bolt you from full screen... you just really gotta avoid any situation where you're about mid range, magnetized, and don't have a pumpkin. A well spaced Tager 6a beats 3c, he'll hit you before you're in range, but yeah winded jump is a good option.

Posted

ah, yeah, that's what high level tagers say...just play as lame as possible and you will win. but really, i don't get magnetized because the only time i'm ever close to tager is for a 6b jump away or if i have pumpkin out then winded dash 2a 5b then it's a 50 50 chance between 2b and IOH j.a. if i hit them, it's corner game and the round for me most of the time. if they block i jump away and still have two winds to spare for more boring neutral play..
