I've gotten 4 players practicing recently. It'd be nice to find some more interest.

all it takes is a little advertisement kindness and consistent gathering to grow a scene.

im not sure how competitive BB is going to be now, it seems like CEO was its last tournament bcuz nearly 100% of BB players are switching to p4u. Im sure there will be a BB3 tho and we will all come back to it whenever that happens.

hey guys! just like to express my gratitude to Adonis, Romey, Tahj, and Cary for their assistance in getting me out to CEO 2012, resolving whatever registration issues i had, covering my transportation, and securing a place for me to stay over the weekend <3. i had a great experience, played great matches, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. no disrespect to Jebailey (wouldn't dare undermine his hard work), but i can't say i was in total concurrence with how the brackets were seeded (poor Tony and Adonis T_T ); i believe that was the general consensus, so i won't press the issue any further. Nevertheless, very grateful for his efforts in making this event possible. many thanks, once again, and hope to participate in another CEO tournament!

i only practiced when i needed to know combos or figure out new ones, i really didnt like playing BB's online cuz of how slow it felt compared to offline, but as a result i had no matchup experience lolz. Ill prolly try online more for P4U atleast for the matchup exp.

CEO 2012 was amazing, so shout out to my nigga Jebailey for the amazing tournament, BUT..............

The tournament itself was TERRIBLE. Completely lopsided, and you know what? Not a single damn person in top 8 deserved to be there.

JAYKAY. Some people did.

1. Theo won and I called it from 3 months ago. So shout outs to Theo and your stupid gamertag. Bro, just go by Theo. Everything else you come up with is bad.

2. Lockhart, I love you, you're a hilarious dude and you fit in real quick with the rest of the black people at the tournament. I think you're an amazing player and you definitely deserved to be in top 8. Second place? Debatable. I thought Mystic was undeniably the best Valkenhayn at the tournament, followed by an insurmountable wall, and then Guardian afterwards. But you know what? They both lost to dumb shit and you didn't, so congrats on your 2nd place. You made it out of Pool 2 and did what you had to do.

Gonna do the next two out of order...

4. DWB, you're a good player, but bro don't go tweeting or status updating how "well" you're doing in a tournament when you know damn well you got 4th place without playing a single good player. That's some dumb shit Skane does. Though, in a way I am glad you made it to top 4. You got completely blown up on stream and I hope that teaches you to be humble in the future.

3. Eshi, you're a great player but your character sucks. But hey, 3rd place with an ass character is great. You deserved top 4 imo. Thank you for exposing DWB on the stream. Dropping that last combo sucked, it really did. Sorry that had to happen, but you're as cool as always.

5. Romey... same thing as DWB.

6. Juggernaut / Alain... you're a good player but your character is better. If there is a correlation with how well you place in tournaments with how high your character is on the tier list, then you may have a problem. Look at your tournament results throughout the iterations of Blazblue. Do the same thing with Skane. Now look at a player like Eshi and his placing in tournaments regardless of how good/bad his character is. If you don't agree, that's fine. Do what you gotta do, play competitively. But don't get salty when you lose to people you are clearly a better player than because you are relying on your character too much.

7. DC... as I said on Twitter...

One day I'll tell my grandchildren stories of how I got top 8 at national tourney for a game I neither own nor practice. Unacceptable.

8. Azure... you don't even want to get me started on 8th place. But hey, you're better than you were last year. I say consider playing a different character for a bit to completely rid yourself of any mashing habits and practice your fundamentals.

Others...

Adonis and Mystic... stop letting people who are not nearly as smart a player as yourselves MINDGAME you into beating yourself and losing. Consider WHO you are playing. Furthermore if something doesn't work, CHANGE YOUR STRATEGY. DON'T KEEP DOING THE SAME THING.

S.Carolina crew, thanks for coming out. Pick up Persona 4 and build your scene!

Anyone else I forgot, I promise it was great meeting you and I had fun playing a shitty game for the first time in a long time.

Everyone else that I met or met the south Florida crew for the first time... now you see why my thread announcements are so hype. We are a hype bunch. Every single person I met in BB was a real cool person, sorry if it seems like a troll a lot. Having fun is my first priority... then other people's feelings lol.

Blazblue is DEAD. This was certainly the final nail in the coffin. I hope to see you all playing Persona 4. I will actually be buying that game and practicing it unlike the last two iterations of BB. Hopefully that game is more popular than BB. I will keep my scene alive and growing in SFL, I hope you guys try to do the same in your respective regions.

So, cry, say I'm trolling, say I'm salty or call me a hater, whatever makes you feel better. I just calls em how I sees em, and I'm sure many of you will silently agree. To anyone who met me this weekend should already know nothing about me is silent.

Damn so many shoutouts I don't even know where to start. CEO2012 was amazing so shoutouts to Jebailey for organizing it and including Blazblue within the line up unlike other majors, you believed in us and I hope we came through for you even just a little. Like DC mentioned on Facebook you should have him make pools next time though, pool 1 was so fraudulent I sure as hell don't belong in top 8 lol Its not like I won any money though so at least the ones who did get some pay out actually deserved it while us frauds can just laugh it up with our medals :p

Shoutouts to South Florida Community, you guys are crazy hella fun to be around and I really wish I had a community like this for Blazblue up in Jacksonville, Thaitanium is up here but he lives almost an hour away (fucking jacksonviles size) and is almost always busy with work. Alot of people here showed interest in Persona 4 Arena so hopefully I'll have a scene then ... I'll find out in August.

Shoutouts to all those who came out from other states such as Stickbug, GreatReptar, Eshi, Bluelink, Lockhart, Spring_Raid and more whos names slip my mind. I'm glad alot of you came out opposed to our other 100+ people in that Facebook group ... I need to start filtering that shit.

And then just shoutouts to everyone else I know that made it out such as Romey, Adonis, DWB and much more because I'm too lazy to start replying lol. Just like everyone else Im quitting Blazblue and have no reason to play it now and if I do decide to play it I'll probably try out a different character to rid myself of those loldrive mashing habits as DC mentioned in the comment above for P4U, having those stupid drives isn't healthy for my general play.

The next tournament thats happening will be Project Storm: Fusion at the same place where CEO De Mayo happened, I'll post details for it in the event announcements here on dustloop and on midnightmidnite MayonakaMidnight and it happens after Persona 4 Arena comes out so lets take advantage of the new game hype entrants and get on that pot prize

Just made this account because I wanted to say I had a lot of fun playing in and watching the Blazblue tournament even if I was so bad that I couldn't even complete Magna Tech Wheel -> Terra Break. Didn't get to meet most of you since I was over at the AE stations most of the time but you all seemed like nice and fun people. Hadn't played much BB since CT but I wanted to try and help support the game because I really like it so sorry to anyone that I randomed out :P. Will definitely be buying and playing P4U, I'll try to show up to more tournaments once that game comes out.

@DC. Oh, so this is why you kept calling me a fraud. This actually explains a lot. Sorry, but you've definitely got the wrong idea.

1.) The Twitter posts were more for my non-dustloop friends than anything. I just wanted them to know how things were going.

2.) Whenever somebody asks me about my tournament placing I tell them the exact same thing you posted. I tell them the pools were lopsided and that I didn't fight a notable player until I fought Feux in top 8.

3.) I don't know why you think I needed a lesson in humbling or whatever. I've never once said or done anything boastful while playing this game. I just fight the person I'm up against and that's it.

Anyway I hope this clears up anything regarding this issue.

Yo those pools were so lopsided that I honestly think if I was in pool 1 even I woulda made top 8. But you know what? Aside from that attempted match with Thai, I think it was worth it. I had the hypest fucking match ever with HQ, and that man showed me that Tager can be legit. I don't think I've ever seen another Tager with tech-trap resets. Speaking of resets, I pulled one off in a tournament match. Feels good man.
