looking more into 6P CH push away ability doesen't really seem all that bad. In the end, with 6P making them fly further away, it might make things like 2HS whiff if the opponent tries to burst out of it.

After a bit more study and some thought (no playing to much overtime), Ky does seem decent enough to win with and perhaps not bottom bottom ^_^ The Japanese are using his air frc stun edge with really good results from the matches i have watched. Also, his Force Breaks are really good. What my issue was, was the fact that I was still trying to play Ky like his slash version. Now Ky needs more distance and more trickery. He is more like Venom in a sense. Ky has to manage that tension bar. I need to talk to you guys more about it in person. Mike imma call you soon man ^_^

You realize if we all do this the only colors left are gonna be default, that wierd circus freak color and Zombie Color. Anyway... I'll follow suit and take Vash like my AV.

Sorry to throw off the random discussion but with the tension gain on VT being the same as Slash and LJ gives it's own TG. We are looking at a nice way to pay for all those new fancy FRC/FB Mix ups we just got.

so i played around w/ AC ky some more and Lightning Orb is a good zoning tool when used correctly. Stops IADs, and lets you advance pretty safely. Comboing after Orb when you hit hte opponent in the air is kinda hard, so taht will probably require some practice. I havent touched the followup to Orb though. My bet is probably useless, like Sols followup to Fafnir. The followup to VT (lightning javelin?) can be delayed by a high amount. Is it possible to use it as a tech trap and frcing it for more pressure or something. Does javelin frc reset your jump options?

i not good frame dasta but i say i think in many situtiion ground frc not as good as air one for fireball. air fireball now faster then ground period if u go by frame crap. this is wit include or whatever for jump. so say many sittion whre u end string with sweep/close s/or say 6hs to fireball frc rush string... perhaps most likely it be better just jc to air fireball frc dash high/low/throw mix up since it acctuality B faster NEway. plus u in air auto of course so mix up easier. also it seem frame wise thdat 6hs to tiger knee air big bluye(assume it have no hoeght restriction stil)acctualy almost true coimbo now? and totalyt safe onfrc? hard typre wit 1 hand but if u not idiot nmaybre u rewalize. soi yea combo to jc move air fireball acctually seem tighter string then a regular combo to grouhnd fireball. plus maybe even ghewtoo loop? say combo yaddas yadda close slash tiger knee air fireball frc air dash s, hs land stand s tiger knee asir fireball dash,,,, etc

So I'm hearing some mixed opinions about AC Ky but it looks like he's fairing pretty well against the majority of the characters based on the various match vids/tourney vids I'm watching. However, I've yet to see Ky win against Holy Order Sol. :mad: Where exactly does Ky rank in the tier list (if one exist yet)? Possibly mid tier to high-mid tier?

Match up Chart has Ky 5-5 vs. the entire cast basically... Hes Mid now basically. I dont really beilive it tho. And Ky's beaten HOS a few times in videos. You've most likely been watching Kaqn matchs. And 6H>2369D? Hmm... If that works. Thats going to be a fun combo.

First off I have to say immediatly that my first impression of Ky was completely off.... I was playing on a modified cabinet with PS2 converters that I later found out had about 2 or 3 frames of lag. Thus all my pokes and everything felt very slow. I couldn't make anything work. Now after playing with no lag all week... hours and hours of studying... I really don't think these changes are all that bad anymore... In fact I like this Ky much more then Slash... His air game and control is excellent and the tension spent on constellation (air super dust) is well worth it. It basically changes the tide of the match every time if placed right. The ground CSE Force break move is also great for catching jumpers. His loops are easy and come naturally after a while and his rushdown is still really sick. More tricks and different rush down enable a different ky then everyone is used to fighting... Ya I really can't offer strats or stats like you guys but I have had a few weeks of AC Ky under my belt and I can safely say I am way more comfortable with this one then Slash. Sure Slash Ky won but he is boring as hell. This one... so many different kinds of options instead of just fireball everything. Its really really fun. Sorry bout my negativety in the first impression. I know most of you guys are gonna love this ky. As far as a tier... seriously guys who gives a fuck. I will never let a list tell me what I can do hehe. Sure I bitched about low tier blah blah but after pulling my head out of my arse I realize this Ky can definitly win tournies. That ranbat proves it. So ya I will show you guys when my team wins SBO qualifiers ... promise ^_^

Idk if you guys have seen this yet or thought of it but I just saw a Ky video where Ky does an air throw into 222HS. I think that's pretty neat and good way to add good extra damage for basically doing nothing lol

I have finally tried out Accent Core today!

First off, I must say that after playing Accent Core, I never want to play Slash again. I mean, this is expected, but it's really, really hard to get back to now. I know there are still supporters of Slash Ky out there because they put a lot of work into this complex and exciting (lol) character and that EVO is most likely gonna be GG Slash, it's hard to care about Slash once you've played AC for several hours. Not to mention the fact that Ky feels like a different character now... you have to unlearn a few things (Shin Akuma, FRC air fireballs upon landing, 6HS, VT loops, 5S->6K loops, etc.). This is not a bad thing as Ky has new options... whether it's through gimmick or "true strategy".

I don't want to sound like a broken record and repeat what people have already said, but here are some other ones I'd like to mention:

- Veteru, you MAY still be able to do Ky Master Combo... at least on the lighter characters. I didn't get to FRC stun dipper the majority of the times I went for it, but the "good news" is it looks like you can still do sweep -> Stun Dipper and it'll still combo. The only thing to worry about, probably, is that the range on Stun Dipper is a bit short, so you might have to be a bit closer when you do 2D for the combo to work. If I am wrong about all of these and I just gave you false hope, I apologize, but I am human and sometimes I imagine things to happen. :P

- It's already a known fact that you can combo 2D into Lightning Sphere Force Break (236 D, then quickly 214 D), and then air combo. BUT, an important thing to consider is that you may have another option to DO if you have more meter. Specifically, if you do 2D, Lightning Sphere, Charge Drive (2D, 236+D, 214+D, 46+D), you will do somewhere close to 40%-50% damage, into a knockdown. :lol: I might've raised someone's guard a bit but that is quite a LOT of damage for 50% tension. You might end up using this instead of Sacred Edge after 2D... but of course I'm no expert and I'm sure there are other specific instances when Sacred Edge is better to use than Lightning Sphere -> Charge Drive. P.S. If you guys don't already know what Charge Drive looks like, it looks almost exactly like Rising Force (Ky's IK).

- Speaking of IK's, it feels that Ky's IK executes a tad slower. He can still ACTIVATE IK as fast as before, it just that it feels like his IK's startup is maybe a frame slower. Not that this matters much because there are only a few instances that Ky's IK will benefit you... and again, this could just be my imagination, but it's something to consider.

- This Ky is very, VERY fun to play as. He definitely has fun tricks and gimmicks again (having his Force Break j.D with no recovery is a breath of fresh air as it is similar to Ky's old jump dust). I know some people here frown on gimmicks and would prefer solid strategy instead (I'm looking at YOU, Chojin) Force Break j.D into low/throw/whatever mixups can be very effective. It seems GIMMICKY at first but I do really believe is a viable mixup. If you ever set Force Break j.D as you're falling, and you get thrown somehow, you will STILL have an advantage because as soon as your opponent recovers from throwing you, he/she will get hit by the FB j.D. So basically this leaves people no other choice but to just block, or try to reversal DP (which will either bait or hit the reversal DP, anyway). So falling FB j.D is really good. It stays out for a while, and you can do gimmick/mixup with it.

That's all I have to contribute for now. I wish I can play it more but the Accent Core machine was actually at someone's house (Neil's) and we would be abusing our welcome had we stayed any longer, lol. Add that to the fact that he kinda lives far... and the desire to play more Accent Core is just worse. :/

Good shit Ukyo. Did you try out his new 6hs and maybe the VT followup? SR (Stun Raising--j.D FB) seems like alot of fun there. The main reason why people dont even try Charge Drive (46+D after Shine) is because it was awful for meter drain which means you can use it for better reasons and plus it blows the opponent to the other side of the screen where CSE cant touch them (being that CSE only goes 8/10th of the screen now.) I dunno, I hope someone can come up with a better way to use it rather than finishing someone off. Most people nowadays just do an air combo, LJ then recombo.
