St1ckBuG Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 How do we expect to finish before Curly Mustache starts? Is BB still CS2? Why doesn't everyone just come to my place for GODS re-stream and we can just have our own mini-tournament/exhibition?
Danny Schme Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Why doesn't everyone just come to my place for GODS re-stream and we can just have our own mini-tournament/exhibition? This would be godlike.

Star-Demon Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Why doesn't everyone just come to my place for GODS re-stream and we can just have our own mini-tournament/exhibition? Do you live at Penn Station? That'd be handy.
St1ckBuG Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 More like 30$ and a 40 minute drive from Penn Station. :<
DaiAndOh Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 How do we expect to finish before Curly Mustache starts? Is BB still CS2? Why doesn't everyone just come to my place for GODS re-stream and we can just have our own mini-tournament/exhibition? I don't. We have area and setups reserved. We will be underway at least and we will still have our stream (irregardless on whether you choose to do it or not). If not, things are going to just be plain ugly as I get into my stubborn phase X_X. Yup. It's not like we have CTF cab or the majority of the scene has moved on yet, plus they won't get it until American release -_-. And you kinda helped answer your own question. Plus I like Gundam. A lot. More like 30$ and a 40 minute drive from Penn Station. :< Though yeah, please let me know soon if you're not going to come. I'm guessing you want to stream God's Garden as a full game rather than split screen of course, but if you don't wanna move it to Sunday or something *shrug*.
Star-Demon Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 More like 30$ and a 40 minute drive from Penn Station. :< Drive? In the city? That's not funny, man. Even though my fucking house is foreclosing and I'm fraid of being homeless I'm still going to try to make it out for the 28th, so don't give up on the event, Because I definitely want to do this and show the community even a noob can go to NYC and participate in the community.
St1ckBuG Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I'm from South Jersey. It's a 40 minutes drive to Trenton, and then $30 round trip from Trenton and NY Penn Station. The train ride is a little over an hour, usually around ~1:20. I'm only an hour and 15 minute drive from Next Level though, since I don't have to drive through Manhattan to get there. The drive probably costs me about 25$ round trip. Andrew: The GODS stream starts at about 5AM our time. I want to stream all of it, and then go to NL for the tournament if possible. It would be safer to have Min stream if he can, so I think we should have him stream this event, and I'll show up (but not stream) if GODS ends early enough. Sound like a plan?
DaiAndOh Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 Should be. If you have an reliable way to contact Min, PM me or FB me it.

This is why it's up in the air. :P That doesn't mean that I'm not trying extra hard to do everything else.

DaiAndOh Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 UPDATE: New Stream and added prices -_-.
M.D. Orona Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Annnnnnd, I have no work on the 28th, I'm in dis. :hype: So, first time I'm coming out to NL to play, and since I'm new to this whole thing, I have a slew of stupid questions. BBCS2- Xbox 360. There are TE sticks for rent, and PS2->360 converters will be supplied during the tournament. *looks at ps3 + ps3 pad* Well damn. Ok so I have a 360 pad I can sorta try to play with, is that good or do I have to use a stick? GEXVS - PS3. We need 1-2 more PS3's, ethernet cables, and some more copies of the game. If you can, please at least bring the latter. Can bring a ps3, but I lack ethernet cables and a copy of GEXVS. Dunno if that'd be any help or not. MBCC: PC. WE NEED SETUPS. This is entirely community driven. Most sticks/pads for current gen consoles should work fine... Can bring my PC laptop, but again, don't have any copy of MB, so I doubt it'd be any help.
Airk Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 So maybe I missed this, but help me out here: A) The address for this isn't even in the post, you have to find it on the facebook page. B) Something resembling transportation instructions would be valuable - nearest subway stop? Something? If I were coming, I'd be arriving on a train into GCT. C) Er...times? I kinda want to come to this, but you're not making it easy for me. =/
LoVeBirD- Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I'd really like to come but I'm kind of new to this whole thing. Do PS3 controllers work with that converter or do I NEED a PS2 controller? Also, are PS2 controllers provided in case someone (like me lol) doesn't have one?

They had a couple PS2 controllers last time I was there. Not sure if they convert PS3 > 360.
Airk Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?12278-NYC-Next-Level-Arcade Helpful, but either I'm super dense, or there's still no information about the times for this event? Is it "all day"? Do certain games start at different times?
Star-Demon Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 They start when they start - Venue opens around 12, people take a while to get set up and stuff. It usually runs all day, from what I've heard.
LoVeBirD- Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 IF anyone in BK interested in meeting up with a fellow BB player and going to this event PM me, I'm down
Mr.Biscuits Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 If you live in BK you shouldn't have an issue getting to Next level. Closest train is the 9th Avenue D.

Pretty much this. We try to start at least one tournament by 2-3. You can pretty much call the venue and say you're running late and we'll just hold your matches.
Star-Demon Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Yeah, I'm going to have to give up going this month. Maybe next month. I'll be watching, though.
DaiAndOh Posted January 18, 2012 Author Posted January 18, 2012 Damn it man, I need to make time to proofread more. How the hell did times end up on FB and MB but no here -_-. Thanks for picking up the slack while I do unpaid work guys. Though personally I'd like to start our first tournament a bit earlier, but what you going do.

I have no issues getting to Next Level Arcade. It's just an offer/invitation to meet up with other locals or perhaps someone trooping it alone that wants to meet up with another local BB player to go together
