I have a question about May's [4],6S/HS FRC and the [2],8S/HS FRC (the ride the dolphin moves). What can you do after the FRC? XD

Or is it just to cancel it to make the move more safe?

I have one guess in mind. Are you suppose to use it with a jump-install to perform and extra-jump/air dash to continue May's momentum? If so, I suppose it makes sense then =P

Non-JI Dolphin FRC strings:

  • [1]D, 6H, FRC~j.H, ...
  • [2]D, 8S, FRC~j.H, land, 6H[2], 8H, ...
  • OHK, 6H[2], 8S FRC, land, 6P, ...
  • 6[P][2] (STUN), 8S, FRC, PKSH, IK.

SVD, FRC, J.HS, Land... = combo

akward air dash pressure is OK when mix'd up with FB-dolphins.

EX: K, S, FS, FBHSHD, K, 5FS, HSHD, FRC, AD, J.S, J.HS...whatever...

Vertical dolphins are auto jump installed unless they are special canceled from a non-jump-cancelable move.

EX:5P, HSVD, FRC, AirDash

EX:2S, HSVD, FRC, CAN'T AirDash

*Unless somebody had a JI stored from a while landing state*

It's easy to JI horizontal dolphins with the input trick:

EX: [1/4],9 S/HS, FRC = May will have a jump option

EX: [1/4],6 S/HS, FRC = May will NOT have a jump option

Non-JI Dolphin FRC strings:

  • [1]D, 6H, FRC~j.H, ...
  • [2]D, 8S, FRC~j.H, land, 6H[2], 8H, ...
  • OHK, 6H[2], 8S FRC, land, 6P, ...
  • 6[P][2] (STUN), 8S, FRC, PKSH, IK.

Well, BlazBlue is released, so I'm wondering if I should just do a general core dump of everything I ever learned about May in GGAC before I start forgetting all of it to BB.

just started to learn May again and got stupid question about her B&B "how exactly i buffer the [2] while doing 5hs?" and some spacing issue (>_>) here's is the setup that i use on Ky as target 1st. starting position ohk >[6] > c.s > 5h+[2] > svd i just cannot hit the target with SVD 2nd. corner 2d > jhfb > 66 > c.s > 5h+[2] > svd ok, i hit with svd, but it's black beat conclusion -> i holding [2] just a little bit to long, but if i hit 8s a little bit faster, i can't seem to get enough charge time and got j.s instead. any tips or pointer?

you hit S, HS, the [2]. The HS buffers into the end of the S animation, and after you have the input, you hold [2]

np, and dun worry. It sounds dumb, but once you do it it'll make sense. All you're doing is charging during the HS animation, nothin more.

Just Wondering... when doing [2]D/HS (or) [1]D/HS into a Vert.DolfFB or Horz.DolfFB is there a trick to FB that close? Like a buffer moment? Or do i have to work on Hand Eye Quardination?

just split the input into two motions 6S then 6D, counting it off can help, just give yourself a one two beat to try to hit, you can treat it really like 3 seperate inputs One.....Two..Three 1D.......6S...6D The problem is probably just you trying to do too much or too little all at once, just seperate the 6S and the 6D in your head and you should be golden. It'll be harder if you're trying to do 6 then S then 6 then D.

You have the input wrong. It is 46hs56d, it is immediate neutral direction Dust after the dolphin is input. The only charge that should be counted is the first dolphin charge after that you should hit the 56d or 58d almost as soon as possible. (if you look at frame chart is it after 7th frame for vertical 4th frame for horizantal s and 5th frame for horizontal hs that the FB can be entered, you might be faster then me but it seems like i have to input it right after i do the motion, you might have to wait though i doubt it.)

ok, yesterday i do ohk>c.s>5hs>svd with the method mentioned before by buffering 5h in the end of c.s... but the beat still black :vbang: i'm testing the method with normal gattling c.s>5h>shd and can get the three to combos but why not svd on ohk gattling? i thought my timing was off in the gattling and try it over and over again for 2 hours, but not even once i get red beat :vbang:, i'm not sure with the spacing but on Ky i do running c.s and hit him up close a little above May head level any pointer or probably simple vid how to do it right?

Yopur hitting him WAY to high. above mays head is for potemkin/robo and some other odd sprites. Med characters are to start at shoulder level and lightcharacters are to be as close to the ground as possible. Set your default to testiment, ky is weird period and not good to learn on. Heavy characters your run at, light and medium you simply hold forward and walk till the correct moment to c.s (unless you are grabbing them in the corner of match screen then must dash).

You are inputting HSVD after the 5H finishes. It is actually a Delayed Special cancel. Not a link. The forcebreak is two separate inputs. Now rub a dash and input 6 four times. lol [4]~6HS, 6D, 6[6]~ Squeek sqeek squeek...

yeah after watching your video you are doing the dolphin WAY to late. You have to enter 5hs in the hit pause of 5s and svd in the hit pause of 5hs. Second thing is dont practice shit that is never going to happen in a match, for example 2hs CH in corner with you right next to your opponent. If your going to practice to learn do it most common and simpliest conditions ex middle screen ohk or 2d fbhd, 2d jackhammer, 2hs ch, jhs ch, or 5hs ch. When you have the loop down under these simple conditions then move to the corner or just a bit off the corner as different characters sprites act differently in the corner. Two most important things when practicing to look for is 1. Are you as close as u can be to your opponent when u do 5s 2. Do you have them at the correct hieght Input to help you see it better is 5s65hs28s (JI) Before 5s connects you need to hit up then down and before u hit 2 u need to input 5hs then 8s close to after 5hs hits. This will help you with your improper charge timing. I am positive your problem with the black beat is that you are charging 28s to late after 5hs, you should be starting to charge 2 before 5s finishes its animation and AS SOON as you input 5hs.

errr ... i dropped May :sweatdrop:, apparently i'm adapting to her gameplay just too well without realizing the consequences for being too focused with her for a week ... and makes me goes -> :psyduck: when playing my main (Dizzy) like fishing jhch which is a suicide and trying to set a hop on oki :vbang:

I just ordered it... I'll tell ya what I think after a week or so. =P SBO May's were very disappointing... =/ Koinuma impressed me b/c I thought he sucked... I wish Kedako was @SBO...
