Lots of people went to go eat after BBR so the turnout was smaller than expected. But we still ran! This was single elmins. Venue fee is $5, but we'll be wrapping up with more BlazBlue and Guilty Gear events to round out the weekend! We'll be giving away Jubei plushies and sticks, so make sure to come down! I worked hard for this tournament and didn't win, but I felt that I had a good time and that team NorCal had the best TEAM. *hoping i got to fight you guys* oh well... Next year, I'll have my revenge Silver Dabbit! A special thanks to my teammates. Team Drama had a good run. The shounen arc didn't end the way we wanted, but the manga is just beginning, and the anime adaption will have BONUS FOOTAGE AND POWERUPS. Good shit ShinAT and Severin, I'll do better for you next year. Maybe next game Hazama will be good or Kokonoe will be in. Shoutouts to everyone I played, tourney or otherwise. Jared, I fucked up. You died son. I SWEAR. But I'm happy for you, have fun in Japan, and level up even more. It was good seeing everyone again, like Huey, Kid_Viper, LK, Zong, Dacid, C0R, Render, Mike Z and anyone I missed. It was good meeting new people too, like Jan and Stick and the people I played in tournament. I feel pretty good about my performance during casuals. The more I played the better I started doing, and I'm glad I got to play some of the best the U.S. has and wasn't completely free. Ultra Special Thanks to Stickbug and Amadeous. You two are some of the nicest people I've ever had the good fortune to ever meet. I thank you for everything you did for me. This weekend was something special for me, even if I didn't win, and you two made it possible. Also, thanks Stickbug for the level up on my shit talk. Gotta let those people know that it ain't their turn.

shtkn Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 i had an absolute blast at the event, shoutouts to everyone who came out (especially from outside of socal). and a special set of shoutouts to socal leveling up taking second and third place in teams. commentating with james and cor was super fun as well, and i'm glad i met ppl from out of state. i will be going to NEC this year just to say hi to other parts of the community in person. maybe next year i'll plan a trip to canada haha. edit: also shoutouts to superarcade and level up for hosting us and providing equipment/stream time and being so hospitable

GG was awesome too (thanks Sanoshi)! WJM/CD/Dacid: some of the Japanese are pretty bummed that you guys won, so prove them wrong and show them you know how to play. You're representing North America now. You may be feeling yourselves, and no one can blame you (since you won convincingly), but now you have the real hurdle in front of you: a touranment filled with Gods. Don't fuck this opportunity up. You better be playing non-stop from now until you reach that main stage. I think 1 game single-elim Unlimited tournaments should be standard. Real-talk. Chili's was godlike. Kensou and KidViper see you guys at FR. You too Dacid!!! Thank you Spidey for holding my hand the whole weekend. It was nice to not have to worry about other people for once.
