Everyone feel bad for me, I can't escape to netplay nor inebriate myself to a good time unlike the rest of my family.

Enjoy your Christmas Eve, everyone~

Why would anyone stay above being stupid online, that's the best place to be stupid

Truer words were never spoken :BANG:

hehe chaos~

@ lord - Id buy you some drinks if you were even remotely close to me

ggs to those I fought -- was enjoyable to play bb again for the first time in like almost 2 weeks -- ty for p4 music I can feel competitive again

Although I don't deny I was starting to get hella annoyed when Gold/Chaos were doing stupid shit during their game. Do that on your own time please!

says the guy who brought his ridiculous taunting-purple grabbing tager to my expert shield room -- I couldnt take you seriously for even a second

It's not really trolling so much as nobody giving a fuck. :P

Perhaps this is a better way to phrase it. I just miss the tension and intensity of the matches I used to have with my scene. Online just feels like everyone is goofing around 99% of the time.

And Astrals are ALWAYS gimmicky unless the situation presents itself to you. They are too costly to perform any time they're not guaranteed. Stalling the match so a person can build up enough meter, then attempting the starter it can be combo'd into from five times until you land it, is something that would not fly in tournaments or even in most offline casuals. Some of them are legit (as reversals or in combos), but most of them are pure troll status.

I will refrain from doing extremely stupid stuff against you in the future (like dash gold bursts).

I agree with you about that.

But if I naturally get 100 heat (which I get alot since I often fail at giant sword super on 360) and I have the opportunity to end it using a command grab most people forgot about, I will take us until I know that the person will stop it.

i dunno most of my matches are intense but it depends on the person. i like intense matches the most

I'm a giant faggot who adores flashy endings, so I will not hesitate to go for an astral, even if it means possibly (and most likely) throwing the match.

It also helps that Mu's astral is super easy to confirm.

And I'll just throw games away because why not (like using Astral against Big Bang Smash from full screen, just because~), I enjoy intense matches, but I also love goofing off, I'll try to be as srs as possible against you though, Skeletal, I don't wanna make fighting me feel like a chore for ya :thumbu:

(though realize I'm still relearning this game, so being srs will still involve a lot of stupid shit)

I like goofing off sometimes during serious matches, it throws my opponent off, so long as the opponent knows how I normally play.

You can ask Mac.

I suppose such non-srs play is inherent to the netplay environment, so I apologize for letting the salt get the best of me. Every now and then it overtakes me like Atreyu sinking in the Neverending Story's swamps of sadness, lol.

Happy Hakudays, everybody :D

Christmas gift? Lol, you'll get used to it. I graduated to my iPhone 4 from an old Nokia brick last year and it threw me for a loop; I hated not having buttons. I always said I never needed anything more than a basic text/talk device, but now I don't know what I'd do without a smartphone. It's basically a laptop in my pocket.

Meh I wouldn't say that, don't recall ever not fighting you seriously.

And I love hearing Nem cry about purple grabs. I don't think he'll ever realize there's a reason they exist. And I only did one purple 720, and lo and behold, it worked. Maybe there's a reason for it? (hint: it has to do with mashing DP)

it's not like I expect to achieve much on Tager, not yet. I haven't wrapped my head around his backstep yet. I always forget Tager's is so godly. Haku/Haza both have terrible backsteps.

lol skeletal i was salty as fuck when they gave it to me but im getting more used to it now

purple throws are good for messing with peoples reflexes for trm setups

^You're off to a very good start; you're already really solid and playing your Tager is quite challenging compared to most I deal with. I just wish the Haku/Tager matchup didn't feel so lopsided in CSE. Either I play absolutely lame and safe and nickel-and-dime via zoning pokes or I get touched once and wind up in the Gadget Finger meat grinder D:

Purple grabs have legit uses in TRM setups or to catch people mashing tech with B and C. It's also worth a shot sometimes if you need to extend a combo's damage for the kill when it otherwise isn't possible (e.g., your combo is nearly over and has prorated to hell but they only have less than 1k life left). Some characters can also use them to reset pressure positioning to something favorable for them, like how Carl can IAD in after a broken purple air throw to start j.A spam or Lambda being able to immediately throw out a sword in the same scenario. It can turn a neutral/meh situation into one highly favorable for them.

People who just throw them out randomly mid-combo are full of shit though.

I miss the days of staying up all night and being bodied by Skeletal all night for 80 matches. Rachel vs Hakumen. :vbang:

also does this mean i need to vs your tager ctrl

lol I believe we've fought twice in that matchup before. I completely destroyed you the first time but the second time you adapted and wtfpwned me.

Are you even in a position to play BB anytime soon?
