Sym_ Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 So I just purchased mortal kombat collection on steam for 8 dollars and thought to myself...with it's growing popularity, Arc should consider really consider steam. Thoughts?
Fenrir Werwolf Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 So I just purchased mortal kombat collection on steam for 8 dollars and thought to myself...with it's growing popularity, Arc should consider really consider steam. Thoughts? Steam is not very used in Japan You can just hope to a normal pc release (that won't probably happen at this time), and then ask some localisation house to take it on steam
Sym_ Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 It may not be popular in Japan but it's huge in America and Europe. They claim they would like to be a big player in the fighting game genre...well here's a perfect opportunity to show some real interest in capturing another demo-graph and expanding (and recapturing to some deegree) their fanbase. It's not like it would be a big investment for them.
qwerty Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Best? Nah, that'd be GGPO. But we're left waiting for GGPO2. In the meantime, just play on nullDC. Who knows, they might have a 360/PS3 port in the works.
zdravkelja Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Wishful thinking... They are obviously not interested in making AC for PC/PS3/X360...
Tong Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Damn, you're right... It would be like the last water bottle in desert. Everyone would buy it. 40 Dolla.
Circuitous Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Best? Nah, that'd be GGPO. But we're left waiting for GGPO2. In the meantime, just play on nullDC. Wishful thinking... They are obviously not interested in making AC for PC/PS3/X360... That, or they're making five games that they're already getting paid for and don't have time for a long shot.
Star-Demon Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 It wouldn't work. You complain about lag and stuff in BlazBlue? You need special monitors from ASUS? Wait until you get a load of ported GG. Game would be mostly BADLANDS, GUNFLAME and GRAND VIPER.
Bolverk-GTM Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 It wouldn't work. You complain about lag and stuff in BlazBlue? You need special monitors from ASUS? Wait until you get a load of ported GG. Ummm.... The PC port of #Reload works perfectly well and the netplay for it is fine? Furthermore, the monitor issue doesn't even need to be addressed because GG is not in a HD native resolution. Game would be mostly BADLANDS, GUNFLAME and GRAND VIPER. Okay, I understand Badlands because of the loop. I have nothing to say about the other two because nothing has to be said besides "Stop." No really, just stop. Think of the children. You're doing damage to them.
Xorph3u5 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) This. I wonder what the piracy rate on #Reload was... And BBCT PC was a pretty spectacular failure. They didn't even bother with CS. That, or they're making five games that they're already getting paid for and don't have time for a long shot. Yeah they failed at PC releases, i recently bought legit copies of BBCT/ISUKA and GGX2 the last to installed fine i just cant figure out how to get my stick to be player one and BB well it wouldnt even install correctly for about 8 tries then i bought it off Windows Live Market and it took about 6th download try and install to work. TBH they didnt even try. If they gave it a real shot they would do what SFIV did actually work on making a true version for PC and not just some half as crap connected to Xbox severs. PLUS they only did it for the first game of the series? no sh*t fail, they had nothing going for them when it came out except saying "we made gg buy our game" now that people know the BB series they should try again, not that they will. But the attention that fighters are getting because of SF4:AE and SFXT on pc does shine light on there main issue which is probably them saying "no market" Core is great but im hopping for a BBxGG now that they have there rights back and a major development on the game, biggest cast ever on All consoles and PC link Windows Live Market/Xbox again and do it on Steam...all out. That's my number one wish. I'm sure Xbox live/Market is in Japan right? lol PS.... My PC is no joke you can find spec's here. http://steamcommunity.com/id/Yajuu Edited February 10, 2012 by Xorph3u5
