Replaying a lot of AH3 lately and it made me miss good games. Hopefully SG will be popular enough to support a decent scene. I'm willing to give any new game a shot, you never know what you like unless you try it. Sadly that is more effort than a lot of people give. Luckily it has a demo slated to release alongside the full game.

New games can provide a person with a huge learning curve to deal with. I took a lot of time for me to adjust to Arcana Heart's faster gameplay. I will at least give something a shot. Even if I have no plans to play it competitively, fun with others is fun, and fun is just fun. I played Tekken 6 with Blinky and it wasn't even that bad!

I would hope to meet quite a few new people. This is a good idea, also I'm trying to get someone else from Wisconsin to come out here. He's one of those Undercover Top Players on netplay, if you've heard of the name DinDragmire. He is quite possibly one of the strongest Hakumen players I've fought against next to Spark and having him in our scene would benefit all of us. I'm going to continue to do some research to see what it would take to get him out here and how often could he make it.

I guess not 0_o Anyways, I just started getting back into the scene and I figured the only way to level up my game is to start going to meets/casuals. I went to Ignite a few times for those Monday srk meets, but I'm done with Capcom fighters for the meantime. They just don't bring the same fun to me as aksys and doujin FGs. So is there a meet going on anytime soon? I read around the thread a little and I saw it said Ignite Saturdays but I also saw mention of Nickel City so i wasn't sure what was really going on. Venue/time, and what games? Whatever works, the more the merrier!

I guess we are meeting at Nickel city now, which i believe is in northbrook. Now i dont know the exact time we are meeting at but im sure Shinsyn will fill us all in on that soon. So far it seems like we are playing Blazblue and possibly Guilty Gear. Anyway welcome aboard.

Callisto Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Nickel City starts around 7:30pm, we have lots of space, but especially for you guys I would greatly recommend bringing a setup if you can, obviously the gathering is going to be more Capcom-centric but everyone's pretty friendly, Shin can vouch for that. I'm responsible for the stream from Nickel now so my xbox will likely be tied up with SFxTK.

The venue is roomier and the people here are really chill, I've not been to most places where the scene welcomes an air-dashing community with open arms and openly discusses things about the game with them if they find something interesting. Right now, I am hosting the BB Casuals next Saturday at Nickel City, that is the venue this month and most likely for future gatherings. I will be there next week Saturday and I'll bring 2 setups, a PS3 and a 360. It is encouraged that people bring set-ups if possible so that things can run smoothly. Yea I ended up playing against Saya the day I got BBCSEX, and I was so terribad. I messaged to help me get back into it but I haven't had the chance to play again. Ha just kidding man. Is there no one around you that might be interesting in going? Just to get out of town for a few hours? O.o Is anyone else getting really turned off by netplay lately? I am finding myself lacking the will to play all of a sudden.
