The Illinois Thread: We Play Everything!

I have tossed out the date and plans to the couple of friends I know on PSN who are fellow IL natives. Hopefully they make appearances as well.

Also started training my friend. He is unsure of who he should play. I am not really sure what he is looking for. He said he liked Hazama's style but not how he plays(no surprise there). It'll be a process I think....

I am also going to try(key word) and train up on some Tekken 6 just in case my coworker comes out.

We're trying to figure the venue part out as of recent. Nickel City is cheaper/more spacious but ignite is an easier commute for several people. I'll be at NC tomorrow night, unless we're for some reason very short on SFxTK setups I can have BB up again, but more setups always help.

Check it out. I made my own clipshow.....again! Yes there is a repeat from Shin's a few days ago but that's okay. Because that clip was crazy as hell.

I made it in SD since it wouldn't take as long to cut/upload/whatever else. Not sure how to fix that green flicker crap though :/

This was obvious, LOL! I have a PS2 copy of Guilty Gear Accent Core + but I don't have a PS2, unfortunately Lucien has my copy ATM and I gotta get it from him soon so we can actually have casuals featuring Guilty Gear. School has been pretty hectic on me as of late since it's close to the end of the term and I'm doing what I can to not let it overwhelm me so I'm still able to set things up for you guys. Don't you guys worry, it won't get way out of hand to where I have to stop doing this, I just gotta focus even more on my studies.

I'd watch GG but I don't think I'd participate. I have virtually no understanding of it. And my records reflect how well that went in Arcana Heart 3. ><;

You'll manage I am sure. I finally got over my Bronchitis(mostly) and that cold that came with it is long dead. The cold where my body temperature was lower than normal. Not sure what that means. I hope I am not dead.

Just a reminder for tomorrow, there won't be a normal night of casuals at Nickel City, however there will be a decently-sized tournament there starting at 6pm, details here. There won't be BB this time around but there will be several other games, I figure some of you may also play SF/Marvel/xTK and such.

Also we are still looking at a possibility of a BB side tourney at UFGT8, but we definitely need to have a reasonable amount of confirmed attendees before Shin and/or myself gets at Keits to make it happen. There's only one way to build a scene, and that's by showing up in force. If you guys can also let me know what you're thinking in terms of venue for next week since I believe that's supposed to be the monthly gathering, I definitely need to be at NC for streaming duties but if everyone's going to be at ignite I can see about working out a schedule to get some time in there.

Edit: I almost forgot...I'm going to try to be making more time for several games, as I dumped a bunch of money on about every FG ever and only seem to play two of them. I'm going to be kinda scheduling my nights one game per night, doing XBL lobbies on my stream. Normally I play with friends from another forum, but there aren't really enough of them that play to fill out a decent lobby, if some of you guys want to send me XBL invites you're more than welcome to join.

I kinda got slammed with homework this weekend so the chances of me making it out there are slim to none. Though If I do get enough of it done, I'll do what I can to get out there to Nickel City and get some games of KOF in.

I've been talking to the guys in MI about showing up for UFGT8 and it's looking like they might be able to show up. Funds for them is the issue ATM but it may not be too big of a deal as the date comes closer. I'll keep pushing for these guys for a guaranteed yes so that we can have a reasonable amount of entrants for BB.

EDIT: I really want to host the Monthly at Nickel City on the 30th to give it a shot with the few guys that showed up last month, it has much more room and EVO monitors to boot, also it's cheaper and you'll pretty much save the amount of gas getting there than to go to Ignite and spend the venue fee there. We've got 2 weeks until the 30th, the day of our next meet, make your plans to get here and tell me what's what. Who can make it, who can't and who needs the address; the usual. Looking forward to seeing you guys there!

I haven't touched the game in a few months so i was really rusty >.< but yeah anyone with at least a yellow connection should have no lag problems
