ThunderboltZ28 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 You can add SoD after you land is the j.2C is low enough to the ground to blow them back farther if you want. I sometimes do ...5D > j.2C > SoD > 6D > Stuff. Also, Cookie...they need to also be at the right height for habacan to work. Theres no need for counterhit, cause it's about height. What combo are you trying to do? Oh? I'll give that a try. Thank you.
cookiehours Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I managed to get the combo down with a grab. I almost had it online and then Mu just...stood there. I think I forgot the dash. -headdesk-

Her_Omen Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Habacan? Is that the thing where you use 214D to cancel?

Her_Omen Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Oh, I can't even remember to use D yet after 6C into SOD...so yeah... LOL I'm a long way from Habacan'ing... That sounds like a dance. Plus, I noticed, SOD is a small delay after it where you can't do anything, doesn't it? Or am I just imagining that?
SolarMisae Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Plus, I noticed, SOD is a small delay after it where you can't do anything, doesn't it? Or am I just imagining that? Nope. It's there. And habacan is easy once you get the timing.
tofurr Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 And habacan is easy once you get the timing.Yeah, I got the hang of it pretty fast. Lets see if I can do it once I start doing real matches though!
Her_Omen Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I think I'm honestly over thinking what I am doing. Even in challenge it takes awhile for me to do things because I do the thing in parts just to get used to the presses and the order of them... If that makes any sense. Remembering something as inputs and presses doesn't work so well with me...

Remembering something as inputs and presses doesn't work so well with me... If I remember correctly, I think that's just fine for learning combos and the like. Humans can only learn so much in the rather short term, so learning a combo one section at a time is for the best. Once you've learned one section and gotten it down, then you can move on to the next, and then try to combine them. Of course, then comes the whole putting it into an actual combat situation...
SolarMisae Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I am at the point where I pretty much just know when I should habacan, even in actual matches. It just takes practice and it becomes second nature. You see the 6C connect in a way that you know a habacan will work and you just do it.
Her_Omen Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Of course, then comes the whole putting it into an actual combat situation... The best part of it all, and I hate using Netplay to explore it... I can usually get that solid, tres basic C combo well on timing, but to be honest until I start learning how to apply other things and techniques in a match...I really wish Netplay wasn't my only option.
SolarMisae Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 If you don't have a local scene, make one. If you can find just one other person to play with you it's a start. You just gotta look. It's worth it because netplay is terrible as a general rule.
Her_Omen Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Well I guess I could threaten the Game Advisors at my Game Stop and find out who pre-ordered that other copy of Blazblue here. On that note: We don't even have a local game center styled place locally. I'd have to find some means to get players and advertise I am looking for them...
SolarMisae Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 We don't anymore either. We DID have two arcade cabinets for CS2 at one point then the arcade that had them closed down. We hold events at people's houses, and advertise on facebook. It took our scene awhile to build too, but if you seek you will find. If you can't find people who already play, encourage new people to give it a go.
cookiehours Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Someone give me a Mu plushie so I can fall asleep. x u x
SolarMisae Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I'm okay with no plushie. I want a figure. That'd be awesome. They need to turn this into a figure.
Amethyst Reitou Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I'd love Mu figures and plushies myself. It would be awesome to have really. And Solar, that would be an awesome figure, though I bet it would not be cheap at all.

YukiBlue Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I said it before and ill say it again. Mu would look a hell of a lot better without the Murakumo getup. Robes and that giant 'Key' all day.
Amethyst Reitou Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I like Mu's outfit both in and out of the armor really.
ThunderboltZ28 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I don't like the huge shoulders, but otherwise I like her. I prefer her out of battle clothes.
SolarMisae Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I love the shoulder pauldrons. I find them badass.
